I suggest you if you are looking for a new wallet do not directly search for PlayStore, because everyone can upload applications in Playstore. But you have to find an official source from who issued the wallet. Suppose you are looking for a Coinbase wallet, then you visit the Coinbase website, then search for the app. If not, then get ready to lose your assets.
can immediately check the similarity of the developer, if the same, the wallet is definitely valid. Indeed there are many things that are annoying because PlayStore approves open source applications and is not too strict filtering out fake wallets. I tried several eos wallets like Infinito and so far it looks good. It is not recommended to store many assets in a smartphone application because security is softer than other operating systems related to access rights from one application to the entire operating system.

2. Many new wallets on playstore can't be trusted, they have different set of aims, some have access to your private keys but they will fool users thinking you are the only one in control of the private keys and some don't  give out private keys to users, they work as online wallet

do need to know the initial source first or at least find out info in their social media, usually there will be information about the android wallet so there is no wrong download on the smartphone

This is a good advice for everyone to heed to. Trusting your assets with new wallet that is yet to build any credibility for itself in the industry is risky. Anything can happen and they may decide to exit scam and go with user's funds.

The reason why i don't like new wallets
1. They always have low users which means they have nothing new to offer, even if new users try them out, once they don't see any thing new they bounce back to their old wallet, repetitive at work

2. Many new wallets on playstore can't be trusted, they have different set of aims, some have access to your private keys but they will fool users thinking you are the only one in control of the private keys and some don't  give out private keys to users, they work as online wallet
yes there a lot of new wallet this day and it's not really good thing to use it to store your funds
for me, I only use the old reputable wallet

Yes, we should always choose the old wallets who are sending the withdrawals on time, because daily we are seeing many fake wallets launching by the unknown people and it is not a good idea to start testing with your money. So always use old wallets for storing your coins because the reputation of those will be high.

Not all new wallets are actually bad or dangerous to use, i expect new wallets to be better than the old and yes we have better wallets already, a good example is monarch wallet, do the findings using google yourself

For every genuine app on playstore, there are 10 fake apps whose main aim is to steal your personal information and use it to steal your funds and this is so be sure anybody could make any application or a rip-off and has it in playstore in no time if they know the neccessary steps, one of the highest ways people's wallet private keys gets stolen is through these malicious apps especially newbies who don't know the good apps to download and the ones to a kid, you would see that some of these apps do not even have a name, you would see a bitcoin wallet called "Bitcoin Wallet" so that newbies would just search for wallets and it would pop up. We LAL have to be wary of such wallets.

There was a recent event where a Nigerian wallet provider was compromised and the users lost over $1,000,000 in funds stored there, this wouldn't be the case if it was a completely decentralised wallet, people should always be wary where they put their funds, always DYOR and be careful of new wallets.

I have never used a wallet on a smartphone application, it might seem easy to be able to make transactions, but I always use the wallet of every altcoin that provides a web wallet, it's easier to control the funds that are owned, we can see the browser is safe or not, then do transaction carefully.

It's true that new wallets only take over as scammer traps if their wallet project is no innovation. Better to use an old wallet that has been proven safe even though it is not fully, so we avoid the risk of theft of funds because of our PK known wallet. Many cases of theft of funds that like the project claim airdrop using a new wallet in the chrome add-on and a few days later the balance is lost and the project also goes missing. So be more careful in choosing a wallet, use the long-trusted.

What if you don't know what you are looking at? Will you rely on the judgement of others? This makes me scared of which wallet to use.
I think it is best to stay with the tried and tested wallet. No need to move to another. Why? I want to know why people use these new wallets? Unless they are new users to bitcoin?
maybe people use new wallets because they are tempted by the bonuses that they give sometimes there are also new wallets that give free bitcoin, but there are some conditions yes for example by sending some bitcoin too, I prefer old wallets to new ones even though they offer bonuses because to maintain the security of assets

Very true.. Reason being that, there a lot of fraudsters and con artists looking for the slightest opportunities to defraud unsuspecting people. Some could go the distance of creating and deploying crypto wallets and apps with the intentions of stealing people's assets. This means, there could create a crypto wallet just to carry out their deals. This is why it is extremely good to trust only established wallets and apps.

Indeed, there are currently a variety of modes for stealing tokens and coins that we have. Storing coins and tokens is like storing money in a bank and I think we will choose those we trust and have a good reputation
the selection to give trust in the wallet is difficult, we must look at the important parts before using the wallet to store coins owned. so far there are quite a lot of companies that provide wallet facilities and have good security, but it would be better if you have full access to your wallet. although it will be more difficult to manage than when using a wallet made by another party

Agree, the most important principle in storing coins is that we control the private key or seed words. Even though the exchanger has good security, it would be wise if we don't keep the coin exchanger wallet unless the purpose is to trade

Yeah, that's why those wallets that have GitHub and open source codes are much preferred by most. Because they can view if the code is legitimately protecting the users and the developers don't have something personal to gain on it.
But in this era where the old wallets are more reputable and trustworthy, I don't think that we will even look for newer ones. Maybe we will prefer their new versions but not with another newly created wallet.

Possible that I would rely on others but luckily, I do know how to look at what's new and what's old. So, this isn't a problem for me if I turn in to a wallet that's very unfamiliar to me. Yeah right, the best is to go with those wallets that have been tested and trusted by the majority of the people in the community. Because if you are still not confident with the wallet that you use, you should check it.

I knew Crypto from the beginning, but I have never made a new wallet to store my assets. I just trusted it to the local exchanger in my country, which I had used for 3 years. indeed we must be very careful and always on the lookout for new wallets. Although not all of them we can not believe. So far, I only know that there is a new wallet. Even though there are attractive offers, I still ignore them
These are security related issues and can handles very easily by the user if he uses a bit of his brains. No crypto currencies are a hot topic and obviously, the scammer community will use different ways to get money. Any app that asks for permission to read things that it should not must be avoided. Wallets offered by authorized and reliable sources should be consumed for saving crypto coins.

I have never used a new wallet. the only new wallet i use is imtoken and trustwallet. safe or insecure, I don't know either. because until now my funds are still safe. for other wallets, I never use. in addition to my limited device capacity, I also often forget to save a private key. so I never used a new wallet to store my crypto assets.

most of what happens now is that new exchangers always issue their own tokens. their hope is that through their own exchangers, their tokens will sell well and be competitive. then the ultimate goal is that their tokens can be traded to all major exchangers and their value increases. the main goal of the new exchangers is to increase the value of their personal tokens, in addition to the success of the exchanger. but if both of their goals are not achieved, it means there is no interest in the token or exchanger. but not all will be scams, believe me.

It seems like you are spamming. Topic is about not trusting new wallets with funds. I understand little bit of exchange term coming in between to not to trust them with funds but I don't find exchange and their token related with this topic.

Just a disclaimer, I don't like all of the new wallets but it doesn't mean that all of them are carrying malicious code. But I would choose not to download any of them even though they look promising and very well made by the developers. Thinking that the developers are also trustworthy and reliable in the industry. Just to be sure of your safety, I had promised myself not to download the new ones unless the experts in the security of wallets in the community has recommended it.
usually people will review the code of a wallet first and inform the public only if the wallet have their code published in github. Most of the time wallet created by a private company will not publish their code so that is a problem because we cant know whether it has a malicious code or not.
It is just better to keep using The old wallet ones. The essence of using wallet is basically the same anyway. To save monry or use it for transaction.
