I think these kinds of casinos do have a "know-your-customer" policy that is why they are asking for personal information. Probably the country they are operating in or their license requires such policy. But generally, if you do not agree with their rules, you can always move to another where they have lax rules regarding identifications.

I agree. If your not comfortable you can move to other sites which you will be satisfied. It is their policy also but it would be rather nice if they would put one's identity hidden. Such gamblers would prefer themselves anonymous.

exactly! some sites really requires its customers to have KYC first before you can make withdrawals or any other transactions. i  have once visited the site, i just forgot its name and i tried to register. upon registration, it already required you to put and verified your contact number. your address and other information. i think they do this for them to know more whose really playing in their site, in short for profiling purposes i guess.

There are many gambling site that are not require personal information and it is just normal. There's a positive and negative effect of giving your personal info but you need to take the risk . I suggest, use gambling sites that are trusted and popular so you can feel your personal information at safe and secured.

there are actually several regulated casinos that require at one point or another to gather the info of the patrons! its nothing new but there are also many casinos that are not regulate and they normally maintain a very lax or even no info what so ever. there are pros and cons to both sides of the story and to find a place to play safe and fair is not an easy thing to do!

Going on either both ways would really have the risk and in the situation of op he just reacting too much when theres a casino do request personal information which is really happening on this gambling industry and even they accept bitcoin you are still obliged to give the requirement if not then its your choice but your money will be stuck and also you can freely to move on other sites which dont have these collecting information from to its players.

I Dont think the warning is even necessary because even me, I have visited some gambling sites and the moment in tried registering and what they are requesting for in terms of information is not what I am willing to share, I just bolt and move on to another site that is able to accommodate the amount of information I am willing to share.
Yeah i know what you means it's we must read the regulation before play in one gambling sitee but what OP means why they accept bitcoin and still ask verification maybe OP think it's out of declaration of bitcoin.

So this is the Online Casino that everyone is complaining, because you need to provide information to confirm your withdrawal which is really new to us. Some people says that they are asking this personal information to us to know if we are legit, which is it should be the other way around, we are the players, and they are the gambling site, so it is their job to attract players by providing their legitimacy, and not ours.

I'm sure that no one would stay on their site after knowing such thing, maybe there are players who already provided their personal information in order to withdraw their winnings, besides, they don't even have a choice, especially if they are going to withdraw a huge amount of money.

what if i send to them false information, can they verify if they are elgit or not? i think not, i would not play in any casino that request my id, but if i'm forced because it has a good features over other casino, i would choose to send false info, they need to understand that our privacy is important, especially here where we use bitcoin

they can, they have databases to run your info against
but usually ,as I wrote above,it is just a pretext to freeze your withdrawals and put more hurdles for you to get your deposited money back
too many people give up and don't send them anything and simply forfeit their winnings
Absolutely it's like in the paypal if you send a false information and you account get freeze there's no way that you can withdraw your earnings so in that case it is similar with the site. The only way to not to get scam is stay away with that site and find another gambling sites.
they should lessen to the comments here, we are using btc to play as discreet as we wanted to be, but if they are asking for real information they are just pushing players away they have maybe good intentions but btc gamblers are not favor for this things they needed to consider what players wants to continue having more players.

what would be the point anyways!
that is a very unnecessary risk that anyone would take if they try to give false information. with bitcoin gambling you just need to go to another casino that doesn't ask for verifications and IDs and simply use their services if you are unhappy with other places rules!

and that is not a scam as long as the site clearly states they will ask for such identification in their terms of services. but if they never said anything about it and they ask for it out of nowhere that would be kind of shady behavior.

Bazinga!
thanks for the heads up OP.

what's up with these casinos asking for ID verification these days. i see another one of them created recently and even has a signature campaign and claims to be a regulated casino and asks for ID!
we are using bitcoin to not give them our ID, now the've gone back to asking for it.

There are still more gambling sites that ask for your personal information and verification, and that is just normal for somewhat reason.Yeah its risky but if the site is keeping their customers information hidden from public and in safe database then thats not a cause. This casinos needing personal information and identity verifications is rooted from fiat casinos back in the old days. And its just normal

Not the only one, cloudbet requires ID info if they think the customer is abnormal. Powerbet and playamo are both requiring too. Maybe more, but not only one, this is what I can confirm.
I have also seen sportsbet.io asking for personal documents in the name of investigation. Don't know why bitcoin casino have KYC policy at all. If they are registered somewhere than they may have it to comply with rules of the country where they are registered but for other there is no point on asking for personal documents.

It's so risky to provide that but we will be surely be forced to give our information if we won a huge amount of money, but i'm totally afraid for the outcome if the site we provided well failed nor be hack since surely we will be compromised if our personal information well be used, thats why for me i will avoid those site who's asking that. And since im not truly a big gamblers so KYC is not a problem for me in this matter since i'm not actually not winning some huge money in gambling so far.
Yeah it is right that it is risky to give such information like that specially identification card and your personal records. But as long as the one who want your details is secured and trusted enough like well knowned bitcoin casinos online now i think it is still safe because they keep your details in safe place and secured

ITSMYNE 🚀 Talk NFTs, Trade NFTs 🚀
I think every Fiat casino had that in the beginning. Even powerbet and cloudbet asks for details. I don't feel too provide them as a Bitcoin person, the main advantage is anonymity.  Sad
And it's hard to get verified with false documents, so regardless of how good the site is I would just leave.

When they ask you forI I.D it is just a tactic to avoid paying. They know many players won't show their I.D so every time that happens they get that money for free. They will tell you it's for your protection and its genuine and your privacy is safe. You dont actually know that. We dont know what people do with our info ? I know people harvest emails and things like that for advertising. They seem to do it mostly with the big winners too, which just makes them look even worse and more questionable.I wonder how often casinoes like that ask for I.D ?

Just goes to show even of the casino games themselves are free doesn't mean the workers or owners are. There is human trust needed.

I think they were originally a fiat casino, right? Then they just added Bitcoin as another deposit option/currency.

This is why I stay away from sites that have anything to do with fiat currencies, they'll almost always ask for verification before withdrawal. But, I have seen one where they ask for verification only if you use the fiat currency. (forgot the name)

AND, there's no such thing as INSTANT WITHDRAWALS for them.
As long as you try to withdraw anything, your account and bet history would have to go through a thorough once/twice/thrice-over.  Grin

Anyway, I'd rather stay away from fiat+btc casinos and stick to 'real' btc casinos.

I agree. That's dodgy as hell. They only ever conserned about who you are when you win big. It's just an excuse not to pay that's all. The only other time would be if you cashed out a promotion. I once wages 40x the start amount and had $3 and they wanted verification for that. I left.
