If there is money to be made, why ask for things that would prevent customers from coming in, right?
Because many people will not want to hand over their personal information, so they'll never withdraw and leave their coins in the site forever.

What is your problem specifically?

It is juridical not valid to let you deposit and play without any proof of your identity and then ask for proof of your identity prior to let you withdraw!

Its KYC and a lot of sites have it, and honestly, I don't understand it either as these gambling sites employ bitcoin for gambling, and I am almost certain they themselves don't pay their taxes to the correct amount themselves.

yeah It is a strange one to me as well. They have to be using the KYC information elsewhere. No need in the BTC world.

Its KYC and a lot of sites have it, and honestly, I don't understand it either as these gambling sites employ bitcoin for gambling, and I am almost certain they themselves don't pay their taxes to the correct amount themselves.

it is not about taxes or security or whatever reason they are claiming it is
the reasons behind the checks are simple:money or another pretext to not pay you your winning
once again, they never protest or ask you to submit ID verification when you DEPOSIT
this should have been done this way: you register, then you ask the site to check if everything is alright with you and your account before you deposit money
but this is only a dream,in reality they would freeze your balance under any pretext and tell you tales of security checks and that your coins are tainted,or they detected irregularities in your bet pattern or the shoe size

any frigging reason to not pay they will use, some people give up and do not send their ID so its just an easy way to save money for them
and nowadays bitcoin aka anonymous gambling is almost nothing different from the regular casinos

look no further:
the bookies delete messages like this in their self moderated topics, what do you expect them to not ask you
ID if they could?
they do not give a damn about public opinion, there always be people who bet and they have the privilege of choosing who to
let play and who to effectively ban

they ,probably, have an IP database+they red flag accounts by a set mask of activity
and the most suspicious activity is when you are winning  Grin
so be prepared for all sorts of verification, humiliation id checks, bets change etc.
you are only a desired customer when you deposit money, but to get them back you would have to
run around in circles, send your id details and generally be humiliated,to be fair its not just this particular bookie-its their general practice

Not the only one, cloudbet requires ID info if they think the customer is abnormal. Powerbet and playamo are both requiring too. Maybe more, but not only one, this is what I can confirm.
I have also seen sportsbet.io asking for personal documents in the name of investigation. Don't know why bitcoin casino have KYC policy at all. If they are registered somewhere than they may have it to comply with rules of the country where they are registered but for other there is no point on asking for personal documents.

It's so risky to provide that but we will be surely be forced to give our information if we won a huge amount of money, but i'm totally afraid for the outcome if the site we provided well failed nor be hack since surely we will be compromised if our personal information well be used, thats why for me i will avoid those site who's asking that. And since im not truly a big gamblers so KYC is not a problem for me in this matter since i'm not actually not winning some huge money in gambling so far.

Its really better to check first a certain gambling site regarding on how they operating speaking of withdrawals and deposits, its always a wise move on making some research before planing to play and if you dont want to expose or give your identity then you should stay away from this site at the first place. Some gambling sites do require informations but i dont think they are collecting for other purposes.

I use bitcoin so I don't have to share information like my home address and things like that, but this site is refusing to process my withdrawal (exact amount deposited) until I provide my drivers license and other documents. I feel like they are just mining for personal information, when I asked where my information would be stored, they didn't make me feel any more comfortable! It will be kept unencrypted on my profile for any unscrupulous staff to steal and right out in the open for any hackers that make the effort! The information isn't needed by their local government or anything, they just WANT the information for themselves with no reason for it! I feel my identity will be stolen or something if I give them what they want!

Avoid if you like your privacy! This feels like a data mining scam or something.

I am sure they didnt force you to visit their site and at the same time they didnt say you will be prosecuted by not providing the details they asked you. Its their site and their rules and if you cannot abide by it, you pass as simple as that. Any one who is in this crypto world, understand the importance of anonymity and you dont need to announce to us about not going to the site and I am sure if anyone should visit and asked same details, we will just pass.

I think these kinds of casinos do have a "know-your-customer" policy that is why they are asking for personal information. Probably the country they are operating in or their license requires such policy. But generally, if you do not agree with their rules, you can always move to another where they have lax rules regarding identifications.
yeah i've seen casinos like this, but its better to use other casinos, since that's why its a btc casino, people love to gamble anonymously.

well it seems that nowadays almost every bitcoin bookie or casino are asking for your personal documents-so much for anonymous bitcoin gambling,it is a myth
sportbet.io does it,betcoin.ag and many others as well, just read their dedicated topics and you will see angry users, albeit usually newbies
complain about personal documents requests,it usually happens when they are trying to withdraw their winnings
it is funny, because if a casino thinks I'm a security threat then they should inform me before I deposit my money there
but no,they are acting like "oh,suddenly our security redflagged you and we want your passport, utility bills and the name of your dog
in jpeg format,please,thank you

i think its not good if we are join in casino that need our personal information because like what others say, if we use bitcoin then we don't have to filled our personal information and if you think that you are not fine with this, better you stay away from that site and moving into other site which no need to filled your info. i think there are many site that is not require us to filled the personal information and you can search them in here.

Many casinos do that and even more services have some kind of clauses in theirs ToS about KYC/AML policy they can enforce on players.
Normally I wouldn't be that worried about KYC policies when dealing with reputable service.
But it seems that some casinos are using this method as additional layer of protection against loses.
When you play it is fine, you can do it with millions of dollars and lose it all, but when you win casino will ask about every personal detail.

It's like asking for your first born!  Tongue
When you win that's when they start asking for your identity. But if you don't then they don't give a sh*t because your giving them your money and bitcoins. Only when THEY have to pay you out do they require you to give them all your documents like you are harboring a fugitive or something. Roll Eyes

back again to update the requested profile data is something that is done by the banks, I do not like it of course, I use bitcoin for using anonymous system, if I were you I would certainly leave it Smiley

I think these casinos or gambling site are really making their securities high. I will understand them if they are a wallet but requiring those information as a casino or gambling site is not a good thing. Many gamblers want to earn bitcoins anonymously without being in a public post whatsoever.
Better to remove that policy or else many gamblers will not gamble in their casino or gambling site.
