Yes there are people who are still confident in bitcoin most especially those who encounter same situation. The existence of bitcoin until now is a proof that it is doing great and it is successful. I think it is normal to undergo this kind of situation because there is no perfect business in this world because it is changeable.
Some people are still confident about bitcoin, they are still positive about its future and the potential that bitcoin could bring to each of us.
I am fully agree with your thoughts and i am also fully confident on Bitcoin and also believe that it will make me rich one day. According to me Bitcoin is the leader of all other digital currencies because the whole market is depend on the its growth and it take approx 51% share of the crypto currency market.
According to me, in this down trend market this is the right time to invest in bitcoin because we all knows that soon market will grow and who already invested or investing right now they all will be in very good profit. As i think Bitcoin is future money and will be also used as a future payment tool.

Not yet, many people are not confidence with stay at bitcoin, we have seen how many people panic when bitcoin price is drop and low. they are trying for selling all of their asset and claim bitcoin become scam.
I don't think there is anyone call bitcoin a scam. everyone who used Bitcoin they know that bitcoin is not a scam an price drop is not because it's a scam. how bitcoin could be a scam when it's controlled by entire blockchain not by just one person or team. an ICO could be a scam. a token or an alternative could be scams but bitcoin cannot. people don't have confidence because they are scared of the risk and volatility.
People who don't really understand what bitcoin is can easily be manipulated into thinking that bitcoin is indeed a scam since it is constantly dragged down the pits by scammers who are taking advantage of those people who have little or no background of bitcoin at all.
The promise of riches can always blind people fueled by greed. And many already fell prey to the promised bitcoin treasure land. And this made even more horrible by the mass media pinning down bitcoin as a scam contributed largely to the fear others have.
It is a sad scenario really, but i'm pretty sure, many others are now reconsidering their point of view as bitcoin remains to be valuable even with the prevailing bearish market.
