500,000 dollars is very high amount and i think it will not happen even you wait few years or for lifetime . Because if that happen for sure the whole world use bitcoin before reach that and thas very impossible . I think the highest price of bitcoin is 20,000 to 30,000 follars . But everything will possible to happen in this world and for sure if you have a lot of bitcoin to make a lot of profit . More bitcoin is better.

Wow no, i dont think it can get that price in only two years, that is impossible.
Bitcoin has been quadruplicated in less than a year, so it has to be more than 1000x to get to that price.

Definitely no, If you do see on the speculated amount its somehow impossible to reach out that price range in a matter of 3 years as of now. $500k is too much and its hard to achieve and the marketcap would really be huge if that would happen and i do see its really an unrealistic thing to consider.And im little bit excited on how mccafee would eat his d*ck in front of the public if the price didnt reach on the amount he said. haha August 21, 2017, 07:03:49 AM

$500k would be a heck of a rise which i don't think that we will see right now. To achieve that kind of price level, you would have to have more than 100x rise when btc has already risen by 10x this year. It's just too much to demand.
Honestly this is more of a publicity stunt than anything else. You shouldn't believe everything that the media spoonfeeds you.
If somehow mainstream adoption was achieved in the next year, then it's an achievable claim. But otherwise, as i said, probably not going to happen.

I agree or not, it will not change the future price of BTC (at least I hope so).
But 500k is really a lot, it can be achieved with a mainstream adoption to everyone's daily life, and it will not be that quick.
50k though, can be achieved with investors only.

That is not going to happen it is simply too high of a price to be reached that easily almost all the economy will have to move through bitcoin for that to happen and the chances of that happening are zero.

I think that Mcafee is more optimistic to tweet like that.Its really a very high price for bitcoin to reach within three years.Bitcoin price is $4081 today and we could expect bitcoin price to reach $5000 by this year end.In november,some expect another hard fork and we don't know what would happen at that time.So,by 2020,we could expect a price of $20,000. I still do think that the prediction of John Macafee is a bit too high,because i really do not see that happening in three years time,but in the long term anything is possible,for those valuations to be true the price of bitcoin should rise $495,500 more in the next 28 months which is highly unlikely. We could see a realistic price around $20000 other than that it is just a fantasy price.

I don't take this a serious prediction at this moment, he might just getting things a little loss from hard day of work. And make a prediction in a light mode of conversation to make fun of it and I know he feel much exaggeration as he speak or tweet about it.

If that`s gonna happen a lot of people here is going to be a millionaire, it is safe to say that 10K is reachable in 2 to 3 years if the uptrend continues bitcoin is growing exponentially every months, the possibility of reaching 500k can`t be done in just 2 to 3 years.

Yeah, and he said he'd eat his own dick if he fails. It is really as ridiculous as that.
Not sure where he was going with tha prediction. Maybe he held bitcoins and just wanted a short term profit knowing that nobody would force it into doing what he promised since it's going to be ugly af if it does happen.
$500k could be possible if fiat all of a sudden collapsed. That's for sure. But if it holds even just 10% of its value in 4 years time, i doubt it. The price is already over par at 4k, $500k is just unthinkable.

Upon reading previous post, So it's bcc/bch. Now, that is the most unrealistic price prediction i've ever seen. What makes it more unrealistic is that, it will overtake bitcoin in just 3years from now and that is very high to reach in just 3 years. Even btc can't do it then how come bcc/bch. Very funny ,500000 dollars in 2020 is impossible. It may reach nearly 15000 dollars. But definitely not 500000 dollars. For bitcoin to reach that price it may take nearly 30 to 50 years in my opinion. Its the same for bitcoin cash too. By that time bitcoin and bitcoin cash , both will be popular among all nations of the world.

It very well could be ONLY because he and Roger Ver are the only idiots buying out as many as they can and lots of people are just HODLing so they don't sell the wrong version of bitcoin! Wrong. He said that before the hard fork to BitcoinCash, so he was clearly talking about Bitcoin. If I am mistaken please post the link where he clearly said that BitcoinCash will be $500,000 and Bitcoin will only be $2400.

It's possible to Bitcoin but not in 2020 it will take some more years to reach that goal. I think in 2020 Bitcoin value will be more than 10k usd sure.
Agree. By buying now, a good target is 5 figures by 2020 or 2021 IMO.Personally I am fine with keeping bitcoins until 2030, a lot can happen, it could disappear or reach 6 figures. 100,000 by 2030 is what I am aiming for.

By 2020, the only realistical price of Bitcoin (1 BTC + 1 BTH) is hitting 10,000$. Very high likelihood in my opinion (75%)
What is Bth? Do you mean BCH?Why would you connect these two? BCC/BCH is completely separate and independent and its price isn't derived from the price of BTC.
THat said, I believe 500k is possible, although unlikely. I expect maybe $10k by 2019 and maybe (if we're lucky) it will double by 2020.
Yes a typo, I meant BCH. Bitcoin and Bicoin Cash is connected because basically every Bitcoiner has Bitcoin Cash as well, and the distribution is basically the same. One Bitcoin has small blocks and very likely just ends as Digital gold for investments, while the other Bitcoin aims to be more like Cash where more people can use it, thanks to bigger blocks.
