Yes, I do believe that we need regulations. There are so many scams out there and regulators job is to stop them and close them down. But for those legitimate ICO, then our regulations should always be in place to protect both parties and not to harm them.

Yes regulations are good in a market with new comers to save them from scammers and people who care about themselves alone, the most interesting part about crypto is decentralisation which keeps a free market movement,  I support regulation to a particular extent

I would say yes. If there are no regulations how can you be secure in this modern era when everyone on the internet is a possible scammer? Regulations should exist not to enforce restrictions, but to secure an safe environment for trading and doing business online. Also, regulations can make coins legal worldwide. If every country has its own laws there would be a real mess. Regulations are good if they are done in the right way. Smiley

I saw on the new that some countries have a plan to make regulations against to the digital currency so that holders and investor of cryptocurrency are not anonymous. When I heard that news, I feel sad. The report also affects the on the movement of the price of all cryptocurrency on the market. But the end I don't see bad having the regulation. I think that law that they build is for the seek of all the user and investor to protect us from some scam or fraud. As long they allow the crypto my country.
but what about those holders of crypto-currencies that have equal volumes and practically actually influence the state of the market? Perhaps today the same story happens with the market.

How do you guys think? Do we need regulations in the crypto world? Should only ICO be regulated or legit coins (not "security tokens") too? Can we implement regulations mechanisms in code so that corrupted governmental institutions couldn't manipulate the industry? Can we still have free market with governments' regulations across the world?
Please, share your thoughts. I'm a bit confused about what's happening right now.

Yes, of course.Regulations help the people to guide this also an excellent way to legal the bitcoin in some country that bitcoin illegalized. Think about it if we no regulations people have a freedom to kill someone, do the evil activities. If you poor person you are garbage, if you are rich you have power. Rules and regulation are needs to open the doors; we can change the world.

There are rules in the market, I think if there are regulations, the price of crypto will be much more stable

If the regulations will or can prevent abuse and scams to our community therefore we need it. but if the regulations will only lead to corruption i don't think we need it. it will only inhibit us a lot of things. remember we are decentralize.

Today many people want to make regulation of bitcoins but do not know how they do that. Bitcoin from the first is not regulated though. From a meeting of several countries also discussed about the crypto whose agenda wanted to discuss the continuity of the crypto by making the regulation but from that meeting the regulation was not made. This means bitcoins are still strong to stand on their own.

Regulation is vital now to the existence of crypto currencies because of the increasing popularity and users. Without regulation, it can be freely to use by anyone in both legal and illegal means so therefore regulation is very important for the protection and for the welfare of all good Crypto currencies users.

I don't think we need it. because either way its going to get a blow by fiats after some years
I am of the idea that we do not need regulations either, however it is going to be very unlikely that governments are going to allow us to keep operating in the same way we have doing it until now, they are feeling threatened by the huge price of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies so heavy regulation is coming and we must adapt to it.

Most governments do not look after redistributed digital currencies since they can not management the stream of money. they're used to place management on their money to balance out the cash connected arrangement of their economy. Since bitcoin is redistributed cash, they can not have the capability to screen the stream of the virtual money. varied can intercommunicate leading the crypto trades to stay some ferine elements in utilizing the digital cash for his or her illicit utilize. Actualizing controls will not remodel into controls since it is not the bitcoin they have to manage however rather the trades.

Regulation follows centralization which antagonizes the nature and ethics of Bitcoin operation. For Bitcoin to be regulated, it must have to be controlled which is impracticable. Peradventure, regulation protects any form of transaction, association, economy, commodities, services and so on. What I think can happen is Support and not regulation. By its support from Government, policies and various sanctions can be set in place to cub, checkmate and reprimand the scammers, Hijackers and the rest of them.

That's not true at all. It can be regulated without being controlled. The SEC regulates all companies that sell their securities to the public, but the SEC doesn't control any of them. That's just one example of how regulation doesn't necessitate control. As it relates to Bitcoin, there is already regulation. New York has the Bitlicense for any company dealing in crypto in the state of New York, and it doesn't require any control over Bitcoin or blockchain at all. The fact that it was happening already and you seemingly didn't know about it shows how regulation and control of Bitcoin aren't related at all.

I think there is a subtle difference between regulation and control. I agree with you that the SEC doesn't control the companies which issue securities and sell them to the public. But the SEC controls the market where these securities are being sold. In this manner, regulation comes about as a desirable and intended side effect of control over something else. On a more practical note though, if this commission changed their attitude toward stricter regulations, that would make lives of these companies heavier, up to a point where they would be cut off from the money of the crowd. Thus, while regulation doesn't mean control, it still weighs a lot in a practical sense.

Sure, there is a difference there. I agree with your nuance that the SEC doesn't control the companies that issues securities, but rather the market they trade in. To me, that appears to be an appropriate role. Without that type of regulation, things would operate in very much a wild west type of atmosphere, and you see that happening in crypto right now all over the place. The fact that there are so many wolves trying to each the sheep is why this space needs to be regulated, just like the securities space needs to be regulated.

Any human activity needs rules, and bitcoin can not be an exception.
The problem is that the bitcoin was born just to escape the rules imposed by central power, so there is a big power conflict.

i do believe its necessary for development of cryptocurrency. we do need regulation to minimize and reduce crime that could happen via cryptocurrency. If there is no regulations i dont think cryptocurrency will survive cause there will be many crime happen and someone  need to deal with it and it could make cryptocurrency even get banned.

no i dont think it needs regulations. And i dont think there should be regulations. because cryptocurrencies are known as being decentralized and being out of control. Any regulation is not matching with the main idea of decentralized crypto moneys.
its true its really opposite with the idea of decentralized but like obama said how can cryptocurrency become secure and transparent cause its like swiss bank and its not secure its like a money laundry and i do believe if we dont have any regulation about it many people will use it as media of money laundry.
