How do you guys think? Do we need regulations in the crypto world? Should only ICO be regulated or legit coins (not "security tokens") too? Can we implement regulations mechanisms in code so that corrupted governmental institutions couldn't manipulate the industry? Can we still have free market with governments' regulations across the world?

Please, share your thoughts. I'm a bit confused about what's happening right now.
My friend dont make yourself to be worried because it is stressful.Just enjoy life and think always positive. And for regulation this is the best way to make cryptocurrency long last forever.

Every now and then we need always a regulations in order to have a proper process or anything else because regulation intends to regulate what people are allowed to do, and I think that in crypto world we need a regulation to have a clearer transactions for all.
I will agree with you that regulation is the number one step to make as united and respect each other. This is also the reason why crypto currency now is always stong that other online income.Regulation is the process of understanding and trustwkrthy thats why I believe this forum activities.

We can’t managed all of crypto and we dont know the detail of crypto wanna buy, some ico have bad effect and have low price than the ico price, and some ico have the high price than the ico price when open their coin on the market. We have need the regulations of the ico rule, where the ico don’t have the potential price most better not sell to public. It will keep us from the bad ico and lost our money.

Lately, there is a lot of news that some countries will make regulations against bitcoin so that the holders of crypto are not anonymous anymore. The news also affects the movement of crypto prices to fall. However, we'll see how the regulation will make the bitcoin price will be recovered or if it slumps. I am still convinced that the decentralization system implemented by bitcoin will not be a permanent regulation for every country because most crypto users will not be willing to be identified by many people. As far as my observations are concerned, bitcoin does not require regulation but bitcoin requires only the recognition and acceptance of each country for its people to use bitcoin to invest or trade equally with the treatment of stock trading over the years.

We need regulation in order for everyone to be disciplined and not to be abusive. If no regulations, we all have that freedom without thinking the sake of others. With rules and regulations, we can be succesful.because we can be good follower. In bitcoin, we need regulations in order to be more knowledgeable.
The whole point of cryptocurrencies was to be able to escape the control of governments, however once again people have proved we are unable to behave without a central authority telling them what to do so even if I do not like the idea of having regulations it is not as bad as it may seem.

I think regulations are needed to have a proper rules and ordinance in crypto industry. Most of the business sector do have a regulations to keep it in order.  I think it is also needed in crypto.
I totally agree with you mate. Getting involved here in a crypto-currency considered a business since it involves the buying and selling of goods and services. And businesses needs regulation or law that acts as a guideline as to what is accepted in the society same thing in online business to avoid conflicts between social groups and communities.

With scams coming in all sorts of directions and becoming more sophisticated I think having regulations can be the first line of defence to protect investors from being scammed and also protect user data from falling in the wrong hands, of course not all cryptos need this kind of guidelines but those sensitive projects that fall under the classification of security token or require some sort of verification before usage can be regulated to show the world cryptos are not misused.

Regulation follows centralization which antagonizes the nature and ethics of Bitcoin operation. For Bitcoin to be regulated, it must have to be controlled which is impracticable. Peradventure, regulation protects any form of transaction, association, economy, commodities, services and so on. What I think can happen is Support and not regulation. By its support from Government, policies and various sanctions can be set in place to cub, checkmate and reprimand the scammers, Hijackers and the rest of them.

That's not true at all. It can be regulated without being controlled. The SEC regulates all companies that sell their securities to the public, but the SEC doesn't control any of them. That's just one example of how regulation doesn't necessitate control. As it relates to Bitcoin, there is already regulation. New York has the Bitlicense for any company dealing in crypto in the state of New York, and it doesn't require any control over Bitcoin or blockchain at all. The fact that it was happening already and you seemingly didn't know about it shows how regulation and control of Bitcoin aren't related at all.

If you ask that question seriously then i will answer you i hate regulations in the first place coz if they do someone else is controlling your money or manipulate the market. Regulations should be in the bank and not in the cryptocurrency.

There will not be lost the nature of decentralization if goverment regulate it moderality...who likes regulation, but its necessary to control doubtful transactions,in another situation there will be conflict of laws and more legal problems.More importantly,As I have already noticed in my previous  post in this thread there may be problems for public safety and thats why I say that regulations is necessary, correctly more monitoring and  preventive control/activities for them who don't want to use bitcoin or another cryptocurrencies properly and not for them who are legitimate...

I think govts need to work together and regulate cryptos especially Bitcoin since if govts don't receive taxes, they are not able to control or further supports its agencies and development will fail. We don't want to be free, but live in a broken country do we?

I don't think it is necessary for government to regulate btc. We already knew that every countries economy already stand beyond with out btc regulation. Then why do you need to bother on regulating decentralized platform.

as far as I can see if the government don`t manipulate the market than the others are doing it, you can see out there so many pump and dump groups charging people with fee and giving the coin in high price to the others hands. So with regulation it would be a monopoly to manipulate the markets which I am in doubt if it`s a good thing or bad.

Everyone has implemented regulations, which need to be followed by anyone. It is to maintain the decency of every person or department. Even here in the world of crypto we also have regulations . To understand each process , so that we do not have to worry about what we should do. We have regulations to follow in every transaction that we make. All process here has it's own rules and regulations. So it's easy for us to know everything.

If there are regulations and you will be beaten on that rule, you may be subject to criminal prosecution if you do not agree. Why keep the rules binding while we want freedom of human rights?
I think some users prefer freedom to bitcoin without any rules and regulations but you know that the government has a superpower to make bitcoin very bad right ? then the regulation of the government may inevitably have to be accepted, so that bitcoin can be legal and accepted by everyone
It is true right dude that the regulation on the government can't be disturbed or prohibited by us,not super powers in my opinion Smiley we can still exercise our rights as the people without the government.Of course the proof is that the government does not give jobs to the unemployed and does not give enough money to be eaten by the poor in my country, even unemployment get something useful for life through BTC and Cryptocurrencies. If its legal it very useful for us as it has a high tax regulation to be imposed.

bitcoin has been already accepted globally but i dont feel any problems regarding with it and infact bitcoin did more popular because of it. In my country , the government doesnt state any law or restrictions about bitcoin. Banks here dont also regulate the bitcoin but they do support and accept bitcoin to thier services. regulated or not , i think they are still the same and bitcoin does not change the way it was meant to be.
