In the last two years, I have spent quite a few bitcoin to buy the mining equipment to get more bitcoins.
yeah i have used it too but for getting more hash powers in hashflare but after halving i stopped investing to it as the profit was gone half, and now a days i am using bitcoin only to buy phone refill and domains/hosting(online services) only ! 
For now I'd rather hold my bitcoin than spend it. Right now bitcoin value is high, so it's better not spend it often. Maybe in future, bitcoin might grower and the price rise up. So, I would feel regretful if I spend bitcoin.

Because if we aren't going to spend our bitcoins actively and going to save it to our wallets how are we going to help the mass adoption of bitcoins. Yes I agree with you, if you are just going to hold your bitcoins you are not going to help the adoption of bitcoin. Instead you are stopping the opportunity of with bitcoin. Because you are one of the reason why bitcoins price is being stable at today's price.

I spent it once but now i've earn it to save my bitcoin and to use it in emergency situation. I would like to save my bitcoin to get profit if bitcoin get rising. So my earning grown too.
