Yes, because a person who commits sin or do something against the law, it is punishable and reasonable if the sin of a person is almost and beyond death.

I don't agree with death penalty. For I believe that God gave us life and he has the sole authority over it. But because of the cruelty of some, those who committed henious crimes, inhumane activities, I sometimes think that it is better for them to be permanently away for the common good.

So you agree that it is better for the society to permanently put away those who commit brutal crimes. Then why do you say that you are against death penalty? I would agree that death penalty is not the only method to put away these criminals from the society. You can also send them to remote penal colonies where they should remain till the end of their lives.

As much as some people deserve to die, I think death penalty is crude and inhumane way of punishment. I'm also against doing time in prison cause other citizens have to pay money for keeping murderers alive. Instead of death penalty and prison, I would reinvent forced labour and send them to repent for their sins with good ol' hard work.

I kind of disagree with most of the posts shown above, death penalty is never the right solution, we have made a long journey in the past centuries to come to abolish that, at least on the most civilized western nations  Roll Eyes

And He said, eye for an eye and life for a life. I man slayer is a disgrace to humanity. Of course he/she should be severely punished and Death penalty is the exact thing that should be performed for his/her action. Actually I don't believe in jail time. I haven't saw or heard of a person who got improved himself/herself because of his/her jail like. It's a punishment that make people more violent.

In limited situations, it is acceptable.

The first and most important purpose of the penal system is to protect the general public from criminals committing yet another crime. We do that by isolating the criminal, ideally in a way where he cannot escape.

For the most dangerous criminals, and those who have committed the dos egregious and heinous crimes, the separation from society is intended to be permanent. For some of these, we find that what they have done is so offensive that — in some places — they want to assure that there can never be an escape or release, and that the separation will be permanent, by executing the prisoner.

Typically execution is not a matter of vengeance. One can cause much more suffering by imposing lifetime imprisonment than by causing death.

In the US succeeded in combining those two punishments by creating a system which imposes extremely long confinement — sometimes more than 20 years — with a concluding formal execution.

The important factor in imposing the death penalty, in my view, is that there should be no possible question of the individual’s guilt. People have been sentenced to death due to slick lawyering by the prosecution, and manipulating the jury by emotions and innuendo; and some of those have later been proved to be innocent. Such injustices cannot be allowed.

In cases where there cannot be any doubt, and where no form of rehabilitation is possible, and where the crimes have been particularly egregious, a humane execution may be permissible.

I believe that we just borrow our lives from God. And He is the only one who have right to take them away from us.

It is true that we all just borrowed our lives from God. However, there are criminals that commit crimes that cannot be considered as a human act. I really think that some crimes are worth to be punishable by death, so that some criminals will be afraid to commit such crime. I really think that fear would lessen crime rate as long as there is due process.

Judging from the mistakes, so be able to consider when the perpetrator committed an inhumane action (murder) I agree the death penalty is held, but if the perpetrator made a minor error does not need the death penalty. So the point is seen from the error.

I agree with the death penalty. because to minimize the crimes that occur in our country. and they are afraid to do things that are not as good as dead and rape to women and young women. Sad

I am strongly agree with death penalty because now a days people are involve in such crime such as rape kidnapping, drugs and the only thing that we can do to prevent it is the death penalty because people were afraid to do crime.

you're right. but I think that's just a saying. because it's just right for death penalty to be afraid of others to commit violence especially to innocent and young women.

I think it depends on the crime that the criminal did.

Yes. Even if my religion is roman catholic, which believes that "God gave us life so He is the only one who can take it from us" i agree with death penalty but with reservation.

Death penalty should be regulated properly. All that are involved in this should have been evaluated thoroughly and is proven that he/she do not deserve to live. Unjustly prosecution must not be tolerated because even though i agree with this, I still believe that every life is precious.

Very much agree with death penalty. Because that's the way to end more crimes here in the world. Because their are more people doing not good. Raped, killing, hold-up, drugs etc. So its better to implement the death penalty.

The issue with death penalties is that there are too many people killed who were in fact innocent. So there is no way I can support it. If there was a way to prove or disprove someone guilt, I would 100% support it. But while we live in a such corrupted society and simply imperfect laws.... NO WAY I support it!

I agree with you. However, there's also a side of me that support death penalty. Capital punishment is only given to those person who committed a great crimes such as murder, genocides. They will not be in death row if they only committed a simple crime. It is life that they take away so it is just right that they deserve death sentence. It's like an eye for an eye and a tooth for a  tooth. There's no place on earth for those murderer and it is best to end their life before they kill again rather than just imprisoning them in cells. Some people might be against to my opinion and to death penalty itself but i bet they will change their mind once their family was harmed or killed.
I agree to the death penalty. To discipline our people to influence other to do good thing and not to do bad thing because if they don't want to do it. And if they killed a people they might be go on death penalty.

No, because in bible said that our lives is very important gift to us and no one can steal this to us just only him that the right time when will you die and death penalty is the cause of stealing peoples life.

My answer is yes. I agree with the death penalty.

Those who commit crimes such as rape must be given the most severe punishment.
