That is really a very tough question to give a straight answer. First of all, I don't like the death penalty. But sometimes the situation arises so bad that there is no way but to give a criminal death penalty. Such as killing a people!
Or raping a child!! This kind of activity is so heinous that, a criminal does not have any rights to live.

If you don't agree to death penalty, I think you should visit some African countries and see the level of poverty people are subjected to by the leaders who steal day in day out from the National treasuries. Having done this, you might agree to death penalty.

I personally agree to death penalty. My opinion is when we put human in a relax situation in life and no restrictions, no limit to do such wicked things, human are more cruel and aggressive to to such bad things. Let us pretend that their is a person committed crime like rape and that person caught up. Then one day that person was given a verdict to hung on the tree until death. It can be a lesson for other not to do the same things. If not contented let the person who commit rape put to instant death like electric chair or cut the head. Maybe this is a great lesson for everyone.

No, not at all, it won't solve any problems of criminality. Death penalty as a prison is just the way to frighten people. It doesn't help to change the world, its making it even worse, when we commit it we contradict to all humanism believes and we are becoming as criminals as those who "deserved" death penalty. That's why many countries don't appreciate it.

I am a supporter of death penalty, but if you want to reduce the number of bad people then death penalty is not the only option. There are other options such as enrolling them in to slave-labor camps and putting them in solitary confinement for the rest of their lives.

Justice should be about rehabilitation not just about punishment.

Yes, I'm agree with death penalty. Because family and friends don't deserve to lose a family member because someone killed them for no reason. If they take a persons life, they should have one. Yes they will suffer in prison but they might kill another human being in the cells. We need to stop them before they kill more.

OK... Here is my take on this. If you can prove that it was the god who committed the crime, then the accused can be acquitted and saved from the death penalty. If you can't prove it, then he should be executed, either by a firing squad or by lethal injection.

Yes. I agree. The crime rate in our country increase when they remove it. Rape cases also increase by the time they remove the death penalty. I know its a cruel punishment but the government can use it to set an example for those who were planning to do bad things. I hate when it when the church was trying to stop death penalty. They shouldn't do that in my opinion. I know its a different discussion but the church is one of the reason why death penalty was stopped in our country.
