It is clearly not their responsibility, involvement in gambling is about each person and there is no relationship or obligation between you and others, in the sense that even if you manage to win a very big win, of course it is your own right, which means you are free to use the money for anything. What is mandatory is to be responsible for yourself, but I also do not forbid you if you do not mind donating a little of your winnings to a support program to overcome addiction problems, but what is certain is that there is no coercion at all.

The problem of addiction experienced by someone is caused by themselves who are wrong in treating gambling, and I am sure people will think like this, meaning it is very small to feel too concerned with anything experienced by others if you are not included in one of the causes of the decline experienced by others.

Who are the big winners other than the casinos? do there send out some donations to support gambling-freaks? In fact, players only do with their money whatever they desire, so if it's cool for a winner to give to charity it's not something to remind them of doing.

What do you think—should gambling winners donate a small part of their winnings to addiction support programs, or is it not really their responsibility?

No, they should do whatever they want with their profit, it wasn't free for them to get that win, they risked their capital, and if they lost the money no one would help them because it was their decision to take the risk.

A better question is, should addiction support programs help gamblers when they lose all their money? You could think they shouldn't because it was the decision of the gambler to lose their money, so, both of them are in their own boat. The gambler doesn't owe anything to the support programs while the programs doesn't owe anything to the gambler.

Well, I believe that winners donating to addiction support programs is a a good idea, as it helps address the negative impact gambling can have on individuals and society. Since gambling can lead to addiction for many, those who win could contribute to balancing out some of the harm caused. However, I understand why others might disagree. Some people feel that winners should be free to use their money however they choose and shouldn't be obligated to solve problems they didn’t directly cause...

No, why does people do that? Its not their obligation to save the asses of those addicted gamblers. They have their own mind to decide on what to do and also on how they can avoid the addiction.

If they came into that situation then that means they careless and greedy enough that's why they experience the worst complication on the activity they choose. The people who could able to help them is not their family and they should not rely on other people's help since they need to deal with those things what happen to them. I also don't think any need for doing this kind of donation stuff to gamblers and I will be more happy if I will donate my winnings to feed children's on street rather than using it for unnecessary situations.

I think that no one should be guilt-tripped into making any donation that they do not want to. Donation should be free will besides donation does not always have to be monetary. What I think is that ever gambler should be an outspoken advocate for responsible gambling. They should be able to always speak up against gambling addiction, underaged gambling , gambling regulations and all of that. As player, it is totally up to me to decide that each month I would give a portion my winnings to my favourite charity to support whatever cause that feels closest to my heart. This in my estimation is a moral obligation.
You're right this is pure guilt-tripping, and no gambler should fall for that. Gambling is a personal race, when you win it's on you and the same thing happens when you lose. Every gambler struggles for the funds or capital used in gambling, and they choose to stake a certain amount to win big, it is no criterion that someone who won big should give out part of his winnings to people in addiction in the name of donation. Its look like a one-sided thing, when they win, they donate to people who loss and when they loss no one helps them out. Everybody should carry their cross and responsibility, any form of donation should be avoided. If i win big i won't donate anything.

I think it's a thoughtful idea for big gambling winners to consider donating a portion of their winnings to addiction support programs. While gambling can be a fun pastime for many, it's important to remember that it can also lead to addiction and have serious consequences. By contributing to programs that help those struggling with addiction, winners can indirectly address some of the negative impacts of gambling.

I also understand that everyone has different perspectives. Some people might argue that winners shouldn't be obligated to donate, and that they should be free to use their money as they see fit. Ultimately, it's a personal decision. That said, it's also important to respect individuals' choices about how they use their money.

It depends on the gambler whether they will donate to the addiction program, but it needs to be clear whether the addiction program is in the form of a foundation and they can make a positive impact?

But I am sure more of them don't have to donate to this kind of program after their victory, I know it's their right but this won't have any impact unless we ourselves can control the addiction.

It should be voluntary, if they want to donate it is fine as long as there is no coercion.
From my winnings I have never donated to a gambling addiction program.

What do you think—should gambling winners donate a small part of their winnings to addiction support programs, or is it not really their responsibility?

He can donate, but its not an obligation to donate part of his winnings to addiction support programs. Gamblers should be responsible for their losses and their mental health, When it comes to gambling, we should be on alert that we are in the right frame of mind and that we are not falling into the category of addicted to gambling.

Although its a good cause to support, there's no way it should be an obligation like what the OP insinuates or suggests. They can spend a lot of money on gambling, so they also should spend their own money to cure themselves from addiction.

or is it not really their responsibility?
Yes, it is not an obligation for them to volunteer, winning big in gambling is individual and donations are also individual, it is fine for those who do things that they think the gambling addiction program has a positive impact on, perhaps they need financial support.

For me personally, whatever type of program you want to do, as long as the program has a good and positive impact, I don't think it's a problem for anyone who donates their funds to it, they don't have to win big in gambling, Those who win small can also do it, of course it depends on their ability to spend money, I don't think it's a problem for those with good rights.

What a stupidity. Why would a person who risks with his own money share his wins with someone who is reckless with his life and cant control his emotions? Why would a gambler help addicted, but not casinos, who have created those addicted gamblers? Its their responsibility. Casinos earn from those addicted, so they should care about them. Gambler should not be a intermediary in this money help relationships.

If an addicted is looking for a help from other gambler, then it should not be money related. It should be an advice, a contact of a doctor, a suggestion and example of other activity, that will turn into hobby later to get distracted from addiction.
