Even some players are sometimes suspected to have been part of a match fixing just like in the match between Tottenham and Manchester city when Son Heung-min was one on one with Manchester City's goal keeper Ederson but he played the ball directly to the goal keeper and after the match, Pep Guardiola went to shake him and people were wondering if the match was fixed to favour Manchester city. So let's deliberate on this
This is just a speculation that would have been started by Arsenal supporters, or others who in support of Arsenal to win the premier league and were depending on Tottenham to help them out.
Son was under pressure in that game, missing was very possible, plus the Manchester City goalkeeper who came into the game did very well.
There is match fixing, But I do not think that it will be in the big leagues like the premier league.
This has nothing to do with being a fan of Arsenal because I love English football more especially England teams and I always support a consistent team and as we all saw that Manchester city and Arsenal were major competitors in the premier league. Just like someone here said, the inability of Son to score Manchester city was a total case of tension and not a deliberate act but you know sport analysts, fans and spectators will always read meaning in a match differently not only in the match between Tottenham and Manchester city as there were also some past matches that people also thought of either favouritism or a case of match fixing.
I believe everything is possible and match fixing isn't an exception or something to writeoff from it , especially base on the fact that it involves money, there is always going to be a manipulation of the system somehow to try to make things work in the favor of the fixers, but how they organise or do it and it work m out if at all there's match fixing, this is a question that needs an answer, if someone has an idea of how it is done
I doubt if anyone can say about how match fixing works because before you say such you must have various evidence to support your claims and again you will also need to identify the match fixers of which no one will agree to match fixing because they will have a lot of questions to answer.
