I don't believe in the news, because all the media can distribute any information for which they will be paid a lot of mone

Of course I believe the news. But I choose the news that I watch and read. I do not watch TV and rarely read newspapers. I take news on the Internet.

News coming from the media can sometimes be premeditated, they can tell whether which side of the story they can. Everybody shouldn't always believe what they see on the news because media can even manipulate even small or big details from the story.
the news is really made to manipulate the masses...therefore I don't believe them, but how else is there to know what is happening in the world?

For most of us, access to news is becoming ever more abundant and ubiquitous. Internet web logs comment on events even as they’re happening. Cable television news is available around the clock. Live images are projected to our homes from all over the world. Watch video coverage of distant wars and disasters as if they are occurring in our living ro oms, but how much do we really know about what’s going on? At the same time that media is becoming more technically sophist icated, news pr oviders are also becoming more adept at manipulating image s and content to convey particular messages. According to the State of the Media report, most television stations have all but abandoned the traditional written and edited news story. Instead, more than two-third of all news segments now consist of on-site “stand-up” reports or live interviews in which a single viewpoint is presented as news without any background or perspective. Visual images seem more immediate and are regarded as more believable by most people: after all, pictures don’t lie , but they can give a misleading impression of what’s really important. Many topics, such as policy issues, don’t make good visuals, and therefore never make it into TV coverage. Crime, accidents, disasters, lifestyle stories, sports, and weather make up more than 90 percent of the coverage on a typical television news program.

I think people believe in the whether news they want to believe.
As we are in a bubbled society everyone gets the news he believes in.
Think for youself and get out of the comfort zone as often to not get trapped:)

Yes, I still do, though not everything. I always verify what I see in the news using the internet to check if it is accurate. We are all aware that everything publicized in the television is powerful and can influence other people's decision.

Nope, it's either massively sensationalist, or heavily left leaning to be friendly and palatable to the masses.

Yes, but not absolute. Some news are delivered in favor of others, it means it is ordered in purpose and not pure.

Or do you think media is independent ?
In my country, I think most of the news are not seriously and based from the facts. It is more scripted things like between the two artists, I noticed that they just create a battle just to promote themselves. News also came from the mind of the reporter and we are not assure that it is true or it is filtered already. Somehow, I am watching TV news because I want to be updated in happenings around the country and worldwide.

only a few independent media.
most of the media were orders of political parties or certain groups.
they make the news as they please without thinking about what will happen next

That's correct! But still we are the one who decide what is right and wrong or what is fake news in short. Literally, some news are true and consistent so we as a viewers or listeners must counter check the news not always agreeing all the time. Since we are in a new technology era, it's easy to read articles, judge, and study every happening in this world so we can balance if the news is accurate and true.

Although the press has her version of a news and is not entirely an objective information, it's not a good reason to stop watching television or reading the press.

Usually, I try to inform myself from several sources to draw a conclusion and to give me a more objective idea of things.
