CMC or other service sites if you pay close attention to the different trading volume data.
For me a site like that is just our reference to make it easier for altcoin which we want to invest / trade to see Gainers & Loses.
So I don't believe it 100%.

There are many fake things around us and we were believing that fakes only in this centralised world so we can believe the coinmarketcap volume and price too.
I see the volume very much good for all the cryptocurrencies now and we may expect the good price near soon since value growing to good level.

Do you Believe Exchange Volume of the Coinmarketcap?
Also Do you believe exchange volume?
I think all the exchanges are fake!!!
I personally do not believe 100%, I only believe 85% of the volume on Coinmarketcap.  if we compare it with CoinGecko or other monitoring sites, we will find different results and volumes from each site..  but I'm not too bothered with this because personally I still need volume monitoring from sites like Coinmarketcap.

I believe volumes from coinmarketcap than any other websites, CMC can make mistakes some times, they did in the past and they fixed it,  now that they are rating coins in liquidity its even more better, you will find info about how many exchanges a coin or token is listed on

i think real, but in coinmarketcaps has change every time. so when you check coinsmarketcaps and compare with the real market its not same maybe in the coinmarketcaps not updated yet. better to check in real market directly
its also happen in price of cryptocurrrency that list in coinmarketcaps . when i see coinmarketcaps and compare with market its not same. so for me better to check market directly

I think this Coinmarketcap only reflects the transaction data on the surface of various exchanges, and it can not truly reflect the exact transaction data of all digital currencies.

Not entirely believe their volume. I believe some of you have heard about Coinmarketcap were manipulating the volume on their sites. No Idea if that was true or not, but most likely there is something weird about exchanges' volume on cmc. Especially on some unknown exchanges sometime it could have a very higher daily volume than the top exchanges. You need to compared the volumes to all of different kinds of website out there. And regarding all exchanges are fake, ummm, I doubt that. We have some legit exchanges too, Though I admit some of them might have manipulated a few of their alts or something.

exchanges ? cmc is not an exchange but it only list the exchange , the coins , and other infos related to cryptocurrencies  . and yes i believe on cmc because cmc is one of the old crypto info sites and still verry popular these days .

some complains and says that cmc is manipulated or fake but its up to them if thats what they believe  . they are feel free to use other crypto info sites  .  cmc is not perfect so sometimes it make mistke and put wrong info but that should be fix overtime  .

This is how it works, initially coinmarketcap were supposed to display the correct volume of all cryptocurrency exchange but since there isn't any medium to authenticate the volume been sent to them by this exchange, that means the exchange can easily manipulate their trading volume from within the exchange, most especially the small exchanges. From the angle of coinmarketcap I don't see any benefit in them manipulating the volume of exchanges unless they're been paid to do so therefore the blames has to be on the exchanges.

Correlatively, this trading volume manipulation also affect the price of coins listed on the site. Since there isn't any means to verify the actual trading volume if this exchange, it's safe to say they're all fake especially as the industry isn't regulated and trading volume manipulation can be observe in all exchange via bot trading.
Its not totally relevant to think for CMC to do such thing on manipulating prices yet they have just been feed up by current exchangers volume on real time.

Detecting price manipulations would always end up on users discretion hence we can spot out which exchange are popular and which isnt.

Somehow this site is been commonly being used by majority on checking up prices even though there are some alternatives but i believe nothing still beats CMC
when it comes to this field.

Also Do you believe exchange volume?
I think all the exchanges are fake!!!
I'm not and I suggest you to create a comparison between CMC and another marketcap site like coingecko, cryptorank, or cryptocompare and you will get the different result.
I believe what has already published by CMC seems already manipulated.

It's very easy to know that. CMC itself is manipulating the total volume on its own site. When you are using another site and those exchange sites will have less volume than what has already published by CMC. The problem is on the CMC itself.

Yes Agreed! Every Exchange has its own criteria for Volume. So we don't blame the exchanges for the volume.
emmmmm,,,,, I should create an exception for that because when the exchange sites are reporting the correct volume and all of MCAP will have the same result. But again, I'm not preventing you to blame crap exchange site when it was manipulating its volume and again my point is to creating a point a comparison between Marketcap site.
The exchange site must be blame when it was reporting fake volume, the manipulation that created by the crappy sites are disturbing the crypto market.
That makes so many investors are getting confused. I hope that you must read again my post carefully.
There is no criteria when it comes to the exchange site's volume.

Not everything shown to you is real, exchanges manipulating volumes, coinmarket manipulating figures and much more so don't see the exchange's volume on tracker website is accurate, its just for an idea about what's going on the market, for better accuracy visit the exchanges and analyse the trade orders to find its value.

This issue is always discussed and debatable. Some exchangers do fake their transaction volume to make it look big, but in my opinion not all exchangers do this. I don't think big executors would do this because it is related to the reputation they have

I think it is obvious to us that the volume shown by coinmarketcap is exaggerated. Much talked about this fact recently: https://twitter.com/BitwiseInvest/status/1109114656944209921 besides this problem is not only in CMC but in others. Instead of CMC use coingecko.

Maybe most exchanges volume are fake but I am sure that most of decentralied exchanges show real statistic because we can see all transactions directly in blockchain. It's such exchanges like Binance DEX, IDEX, Waves DEX and others.

For altcoins statistic maybe yes since I found them pretty decent in terms on looking at the alts volume but with exchange daily volume? Nah! i didn't trust them 100% since  they doesn't scan those exchange who feeds them a data and allow those exchange to manipulate their volume so better to look on better platform if you want to see the exchange volume.

If you ask believe it or not, do not address the platform, but the coins listed on the platform. Coinmarketcap is a good platform and I use it every day to see altcoin prices rise. Vomue exchange is the same, there are some altcoins that do have fake volumes, but not all are like that. Fake volumes are only used to attract investors into it.

If people can lie about volumes, if exchanges can give out only fake volume what will now happen if liquidity comes first instead of volume? coinmarketcap have taken the right step by ranking coins and tokens with liquidity instead, its on their website like this 'We just launched Liquidity to combat the volume inflation problem'.

Yes they made some changes, and now they have different ranking system, which is a good thing. There was a lot of drama this year about coinmarketcap and their manipulations with some coins. In anyway coinmarketcap and similar sites should be just for information purposes only. Take a look what they have to say, but if you wish to be sure in something check that on several more places.
In the case you missed this article "For 15k, he`ll fake your exchange volume - you'll get on coinmarketcap". Link to the article : https://www.coindesk.com/for-15k-hell-fake-your-exchange-volume-youll-get-on-coinmarketcap

Quote from the article, for people who don't like to read too much:
A firm that specializes in making obscure cryptocurrencies look like they’re being actively traded. For a fee, the two-man shop will program bots to trade a token back and forth with each other on also-ran exchanges until it has enough “volume” to get listed on CoinMarketCap.

Do you have a better picture now whats happening around the crypto?

Everyone in the space knows of or has heard about all the fake data circulating in CMC and others. So what? We all knew it and if we trade following it we deserve to be fooled by scam projects and fakealts.

Anyway CMC introduced a new liquidity metric. Anyone have any opinion about this? Or no one understands it? Nice move like callanta says, but is it effective?
