Ther eis a lot of wash trading happening on exchanges in order to help pump volume when exchanges are new, but they also show real volumes as well. You can check for yourself and see what is pumped volume and what is real volume. This process is of course normal in the beginning. Like in a store or restaurant family members will fill up the place or shop there to make the venues look busy in order to attract more customers etc. Well some will say it is unethical, for others it is a grey area as well. So it depends form which angle we look at it.

The volume always publish by coinmarketcap is not the real volume of cryptocurrency market, so I can't believe or trust it and made decisions based on it. A huge percentage of crypto exchanges uses bots to create fake volumes in order to entice traders to their platform and these volumes are what coinmarketcap rely on.

Do you Believe Exchange Volume of the Coinmarketcap?
Also Do you believe exchange volume?
I think all the exchanges are fake!!!
If people can lie about volumes, if exchanges can give out only fake volume what will now happen if liquidity comes first instead of volume? coinmarketcap have taken the right step by ranking coins and tokens with liquidity instead, its on their website like this 'We just launched Liquidity to combat the volume inflation problem'.

I think it's better to see conditions in the market than to depend on Coinmarketcap, all of that can be manipulated and that often happens so I think we should check it directly in the market will be better then compare it and don't forget to check what you can, but for Coinmarketcap itself, there are still some things that have not been fixed in terms of volume and price.

This is how it works, initially coinmarketcap were supposed to display the correct volume of all cryptocurrency exchange but since there isn't any medium to authenticate the volume been sent to them by this exchange, that means the exchange can easily manipulate their trading volume from within the exchange, most especially the small exchanges. From the angle of coinmarketcap I don't see any benefit in them manipulating the volume of exchanges unless they're been paid to do so therefore the blames has to be on the exchanges.

Correlatively, this trading volume manipulation also affect the price of coins listed on the site. Since there isn't any means to verify the actual trading volume if this exchange, it's safe to say they're all fake especially as the industry isn't regulated and trading volume manipulation can be observe in all exchange via bot trading.

certainly do not believe. Many stock market volumes are fake. coinmarketcap has made an update to prevent it but it's hard to say that it was successful again

Where there are bad eggs, if you look closely you would notice that they are good eggs too even though they tend to hang out at the bottom of the ladder because the dishonest ones has overshadowed them but the real traders know them and utilise their services, ofcourse the CMC data cannot be trusted because there is so much wash trading ongoing in exchanges especially obscure exchanges that I wouldn't trade in even if they pay me to do it. But this isn't a direct fault of CMC, it's the direct fault of dishonest exchanges.

If there is any fake volume information on coinmarketcap it is definitely a bug, i have seen such mistake in the past and they later get it fixed, coinmarketcap job is to give the audience good coin ranking and info based on volume and now they are switching to liquidity instead

Also Do you believe exchange volume?
Well, big volume does not mean the exchange is legit/scam. it's possible that coinmarketcap doesn't update in realtime. I have also heard that the fake is the exchange because it manipulates the trading volume but the CMC also sometimes meddling in this case "if they are get paid for it".
I am neutral for this
Big volume needed for exchange and cmc to promote its product

I think all the exchanges are fake!!!
Not all of them are fake even though in reality it is true happening (a lot of manipulation and fake volume). but I am sure there is a legitimate and trustworthy exchange.
so don't judge the exchange all same (bad), coinmarketcap is also not to blame, why? I'm sure behind it all there must be good and bad reasons. (idk, maybe about money or reputation, whos know)
i think yes, most of exchanges, especially CEX, are fake
they have to manipulate to get investor/ trader attention

But, we have to see other side, manipulate, still within reasonable limits, is needed to increase trading volume
imagine if the exchange is pure without manipulate, you may see very low or even near zero
it is not good for crypto development, trader and investor wont get interested and crypto wont be big too

mostly that the volume of exchangers on coinmarketcap does not correspond to reality. actually I would rather see the market conditions myself than see the volume in the market. At present, so many volumes are manipulated, there are even some not-so-popular exchangers who have suddenly dominated volumes. I have seen a number of conditions that market conditions p2pb2b and vindax dominate, but a few days later it was discovered that the volume was manipulated.

You can used it as basis but not to rely with every information that being shared. There's really exchange that manipulating the volume to attract investors and traders, it's still needed to do your proper research if you are into investment. More safe when you understand and knows deeper regarding to the project or exchange that you are following or you wanted to support. CMC have the data that you need but it's still your obligation to research and study.

Do you Believe Exchange Volume of the Coinmarketcap?
Also Do you believe exchange volume?
I think all the exchanges are fake!!!
you can check other alternative such as https://www.coingecko.com/en and check the difference with both volume of every exchange .

The difference between Coinmarketcap and Coingecko is quite far, so when I see prices, I often use Coingecko because it's more accurate then I like comparing it to Coinmarketcap, but I think Coingecko is in my opinion more accurate.
I do agree, coingecko is much more reliable to see exchange volume. Coinmarketcap is not reliable anymore, we should see other site to see market condition.
I trust coinmarketcap and if any fake volume is been reported they will eventually fix it, that is if they never knew, coinmarketcap do their job very well and among all others like coingecko etc coinmarketcap is still the best choice
It has been a problem since past few months, it is not yet been fixed and being discussed a lot of times. We do hope that this will be fixed as soon as possible.

Hope you have evidence to back up your claim? what research have you done to make you talk this way? we have honest exchange in crypto space and thanks for their honesty investors can trust them, binance, huobi, gate, kucoin, bitmart, probit, dcoin, coinbene, stex, etc have no fake volume but some do have fake volume.

Coinmarketcap is the best out there, they give information in good order and no fake info on coinmarketcap either, now they are about to start using liquidity for ranking, nice move i think

The difference is actually how the volume are being calculated and what is reported by the reference site?
Specially the exchange has been involved as well they support third parties to trade within their platform that works just to increase the volume of trading.
Sometimes even the coin project are involved in creating such trade volumes.

Lol, Coinmarketcap is not a reliable source of exchange volume because they don't to include a lot of mid tier exchanges which obviously practices wash trading and fake volumes.

I would suggest you check out reports such as this one, http://www.bti.live/exchanges/ or used https://www.coingecko.com/en.

Many already know what coinmarketcap is doing, but I doubt that they're going to change it after so many years.
