You guys need to learn about POKER, which is a skill game played against other people, not a house game like craps or roulette with negative expected value. You cant ever beat a house game over the long term, its mathematically impossible and those games are silly and mindless anyway.

Poker is a great game of strategy and luck, where the players who consistently play their cards better than others make money - the house just takes a tiny fee from every pot called "the rake" which is negligible. Whether you win or lose depends 100% on your skill as a player over the long term of thousands of hands - obviously over the short term of a few hundred hands there is a huge amount of luck and this is what keeps the game interesting.

Its much more fun and interesting to play a strategy game against other people, even if they are better than you, than mindless gambling on craps against a corporation which always ends up with your coins because they have an unbeatable house edge. Poker keeps your mind sharp and has infinite nuance to its strategy as there is no one correct way to play, good play is based entirely on how your opponents are playing. Think Rock-Paper-Scissor.

So next time you want to gamble, do it via the beautiful game of poker against fellow humans who chat with you and laugh in the chat about each others bad luck, and not the mindless game of craps against an unbeatable, faceless, silent, evil, money sucking corporation.

Seals With Clubs is currently the biggest and best Bitcoin poker site, click on the link in my sig to check it out, it takes about 2 minutes to sign up and the best part is you dont even have to deposit coins or download anything: there are "freerolls" where you can win chips for nothing just by playing a tournament in your browser window! Its a great way to learn the game and get a few free chips.

In the long run you will lose money, that's a virtual certainty

Rules of Gambling:

1)  Only bet what what you can afford to lose
2)  Placing larger, less frequent bets where the odds are in your favor, is almost always better than placing smaller, very frequent bets that you're likely to never win. Satoshi Dice's 73.5% win chance, 1.335x payout is a good example.
3)  The only way to win at gambling, and truely "beat the house", is to quit while you're ahead. Eventually, the house edge will beat you.

I'm up about 21 BTC on satoshi dice, and will never go back.

Expect to lose in the long run unlike you are the kind that can win and never play again

In the long run, only the operators make money provably fair or otherwise

Do you realize what are saying while you have a signature advertising a gambling website? =))))))))))))))))))
That doesn't mean he gambles himself... Or even cares that the operators make money, like I said early just do it strictly for entertainment not for a profit or you will be dissapointed.

I won over 100 BTC on SatoshiDice, then I stopped. It was very risky though, I was using a martingale scheme, and I nearly lost 200 BTC on one of the round, though my luck came thru and my last 100 BTC bet was a win.

Congratulations on that. I gambled on SatoshiMine, won 0.12 but blew it away later on.

it's amazing to me how readily willing people are to waste their money. i once sold a DVD (for a friend) on ebay called something like "manage your debt and build your wealth" .. it was a crock of bullshit, sold by a scam artist who exploit your fears.

the account name who purchased the DVD from me was something along the lines of "[email protected]." i found it funny that i couldn't figure out if the buyer was a guy who liked to by random things (and waste his money), or a guy who wasted so much money that he thought he had to buy some scammy DVD.

Buying Bitcoin with your dollars is a gamble itself because of the volatile BTC/USD price...

It kind of forces gambling onto everybody.

i only gamble if i am good enough to win more than i lose.. so i don't gamble. gambling, for most people at least, is illogical. i rather just hold onto my coins.. that in of itself is a big enough gamble already.

I was gambling UK Cash in online markets.  Live Betting on football, I would try strategically to not lose either way like betting over under 2.5 goals and waiting to bet over 2.5 goals.
If I did that right then i'd win 0.5 worth.  It used to be ok but then you get bored and you click tennis and try to do the same by betting under and over how many games.  Then you lose and you get annoyed then you do another tennis because it's a high return then you lose then you put more money in.  Then you bet on football team to win at 100.00 lol...it's really bad.  Mostly I deposited the odd 10 pounds but that led up to 3,000 pound worth over 2 years.  All Lost money that is.

It's not worth it no matter what strategy you think you have.

hah, yeah thanks, it was when bitcoin was $10 each, so wasn't a huge deal to lose 200 BTC.
