I did a gamble but not a lot so I'm not shameful. But I've seen a gambler addict that is not ashamed about it. They are already trapped in it that they don't care what they do or what will people think of him doing it and getting addicted with it.
I also see a lot of gamblers who are not ashamed to be gamblers. They often tell me about gambling and I just listen. I'm not a gambler and I would be embarrassed if being a gambler, but they're not because they feel so. We can not force them to be ashamed of being gamblers, that's their choice. Whatever is done, we will only bear the risk of each.

It is not a bad thing.. gambling is the last tool that a poor guy can use in order to earn more money, and he will lose it all.

Those are only stereotyps that the society has built, there are millionaires gambling all their millions in a single game.

In many cultures and countries is gambling consider as a bad thing which only the poorest and silliest ones do. Many gamblers try to hide that they gamble from their friends and families and feel really shameful for that.

And i do not feel shameful because i dont like gambling, i only use to play it when i am with some friends or when we go to a casino just to have some fun in there.

No gambler should be. It's not something to be ashamed of.

I've seen it too and they don't ashamed and they still play gambling. they even tell to other people that they can win the money from the gambling games. but for me, I am not ashamed too because I am too often to playing gambling but I don't tell other people that I am playing gambling. they just know that I am playing a card on the internet.

so in a way you might feel ashamed if they get to know that you are gambling, right? Gambling is a business just like any other and i don't think people or the players should be ashamed if they live a responsible life in their respective communities else they have to be ashamed of themselves  for wasting money.

Go guys!
In many cultures and countries is gambling consider as a bad thing which only the poorest and silliest ones do. Many gamblers try to hide that they gamble from their friends and families and feel really shameful for that. Do you consider gambling as a bad thing? Do you feel shameful or proud for being a gambler? If it is shame what you feel what do you about it? How do you hide you're a gambler and who do you hide it from?
Let others know!
I am proud for being a gambler because i dont mind what people say to me  im a good gambler i dont disturb anyone.Maybe your a shameful gambler if you are an addict and you lose everything for the gambling.Gambling is good for me because because it helps me a lot in my financial problem and my emotional i cant explain what i feel when i win.

Actually it's embarrassing for me to do gambling instead of in casinos. But when i was in casino, there was no such feeling and i could enjoy the game inside.
Then maybe you are enjoying gambling so much that is why you don't feel anything and its okay to enjoy life even through gambling for as long as you will not use anyone's money or owe someone money for the sake of gambling then everything is okay.

I agree with you. As long as the gambler is not risking anyone elses hard earned money as a debtor or even his own hard earned money fo fulfilling the urge of gambling that has been created due to the addiction that they have built over time, then they are good to go.

The problem arises only when the gambler gets engrossed in the gambling act so badly that it turns into an addiction which is hard to overcome. It leads to bad debts and even in some cases bankruptcy.

No, there is no need to be ashamed if you involve in gambling as long as you are not doing bad things to every one or not cheating and use others for your own good. As for me the most shameful things is theft but gambling is not.

Yes,  no need to be ashamed especially if the community you lived in does accept gambling, but if it is prohibited in your place maybe it's acceptable to feel ashamed because you might be already violating the policy or law of your community.

I feel some sort of shame if I lose my cool and blow money that I shouldn't That is just irresponsibility. Not necessarily do to being a gambler, but just because irresponsibility in general isn't good. Anytime I do something that I regret later, I feel some sort of shame. Some people say shame isn't good, but these are the ones who have no shame, the worst people.
That's gambling, we need to keep learning everytime we made mistakes so we will not be able to do it again.
Being responsible should always be in our heart and in our mind because the moment we get addicted and we let gambling control us, that would be the end of our good relationship to our family as the effect is very negative.

Well, I personally don't think there is anything to feel shameful about by being a gambler as it might be fun for alot of people. But, becoming a gamblinh addict would definitely be shameful. So, like gambling addicts you should not bet too high and get depressed if you lose all your money. Keeping a limoted amount of money for gambling should work out. Also you should just gamble for fun, if it becomes even a little bit stressful you should just stop for the time being.

Addiction is shameful, shows lack of self control over himself. I found it shameful or I felt ashamed when my elders came to know I did it, but later I said them its just for fun and I am not an addict. They still doesn't like it, so I feel ashamed an try to avoid letting them know. Otherwise nothing to be ashamed of if one is a casual gambler. I gamble for enjoyment, I don't feel guilty but I do feel shameful in front of my elder who doesn't like gambling activities.

That is the problem, some cannot control the urge to gamble and thats where it becomes a shameful thing because they know its something of no benefit and out of control to them.    Same as anything like drinking, most of the time its fine but if you have no choice but to have another drink its a source of shame as you are not able to stop your own losses in money or otherwise.
Most gambling sites include controls to self ban for this reason afaik

No i'm not. I'm a successful gambler and i'm proud of it . Whatever they say i don't care.
Wow! good to hear from a successful gambler, by saying successful did you mean you are making money in gambling?
For me, I call myself successful because I have learned the discipline and I never panic now and just follow my emotion, I only play for fun.
