Gambling is not illegal for some countries and it is not wrong, if you are gambling and you are not responsible for it, you are the one that is doing something wrong in gambling. And that's the time that you should feel ashamed. I find nothing wrong in gambling, so you really don't have to be ashamed of it but I understand the point that you are telling that we shouldn't be proud of it, I guess it goes and depends to the gambler.

I don't know why there are people who are shameful for being a gambler. Maybe their addiction is really that too much and it came to the point that they are doing those things that they must not do. But with me, I don't feel to be shameful for it because I am not doing those type of activity to steal and scam people because I gamble with my own money.

Being shameful will only happen if we do illegal things when doing gambling, but if not, then it should be something we can be proud of as it's entertaining for us and that is our main intention why we are doing it. Those people who said it should be a shameful activity, for sure they have not tried gambling yet, they must try to know how entertaining it is.

Being ashamed about gambling is like saying you are using money that is not from you are just like what sparkedev said. That is the only time that we should feel bad about our betting. Another thing that could make you feel ashamed about gambling is when you are already a burden to your family.

I had to just comment on your post because I kind of see where you are coming from. I like to gamble online with Bitcoin as well though I do not feel that bad when I gamble nor do I feel proud about it either. Since the whole thing about gambling to me is just so I could have a little bit of fun it really is not an issue for me to second guess if I am doing the wrong thing.
If I lose money in gambling, I just accept it and move on.

The feeling of being proud will only come out when we do win.Im sure most of us do feel the same way on playing gambling because once we won on a certain game,we are really proud of that and it boost up our confidence which makes us more careless on playing and resulting to lose and thats the cycle on playing gambling. Theres nothing to be proud of actually because its just a game,the shameful thing is when you already got broke and lose all the money and assets you do have.

It should never ever be used as a way to make money, that is just a crazy thinking most newbies have. Gambling can never get you a steady income and you'll just likely be bankrupt in a few days you are gambling and people who think this way will soon realize their mistakes. Gambling is just an entertainment for everybody to just enjou.

It is a shameful being a gambler if you are not responsible person for playing gambling. It is indeed shameful if you are doing illegal activities, crimes to have money in return of luxuries. Once I become gambler and I realized Im become addicted to it, but thankful now I comeup those things.

If I were a gambler why would I ashamed? First of all I am happy to gamble and to feel relaxed. Gambling is shameful if it makes illegal or you did bad things,more particularly if you neglect your family. I do not need to hide if I am a gambler, as long as I know how to discipline myself,know my priorities and the gambling limits.

Past is past and he did learned a lesson from it and that's for sure. If I were on his shoe, I'll feel the same but that's the result of being an addicted gambler. So when he was younger, he's addiction is severe. Take this as a lesson and I know there are more people that are experiencing this thing and if you don't want this to happen to your life, you should be responsible.

It's not that easy to move on rom the past especially if it affects you deeply, for example, being addicted to gambling you managed to destroy your relationship towards family, girlfriend/boyfriend, friends, etc. Not caring about anything at all because of gambling. Probably the statistics itself says that in most cases, gambling drives people to bad deeds, and this already starts to remind me of drug addiction.
