With the overpopulation of earth, numbers of poor people grow as well as the number of incarcerated, with the numbers of U.S. I don't think you can even judge the average ex-con anymore...

You can learn more about business behind bars than in high school  Tongue

True shit. Some people come out of jail ready to take the BAR exam.

That fact is truly insane. BAR exam, chess games, spades, the guys there are brilliant, no doubt. There are a lot of really intelligent people in prison/jail. A lot of times, I think my brain goes to waste sitting behind this screen, probably would have been better off going to prison, and come out with a GED or some type of degree, atleast.

I learned a lot being in Juvy for 6 months. All there is to do is read and scheme in jail. So you either come out smarter an ready to do something real, or smarter and ready to go back to jail (with a stupid scheme, even though you are smarter).

Well. I'm due in court right around the time I'm expecting my Avalon order. That's why I was trying to sell them, don't know what's going to happen as I can't afford legal aid at the moment! So tense right now.... did someone turn up the heat??

Jail isn't that bad. Hopefully you didn't do anything too bad and get out soon.
Just spread the word about mining and coins while you're there Smiley

I'm not really expecting jail, but I have enjoyed having a clean (adult) record, and intended to keep it that way. The thing is I can't afford any legal aid so I have no idea what plea to give... it's an offencive weapons charge! The police found a stanley knife (as well as other TOOLS) in my bag when I was getting searched on Saturday. So it could be fairly serious for me depending on the outcome, my University will not allow me to continue my course for example....

Any real lawyers on here?? I can pay in BTC Wink

Disclaimer: I am not an attorney.

In what state/country do you reside? First offense? This sounds like BS charges for a box cutter. You didn't threaten anyone with it, did you? PM if you like.

If you are on track in your curriculum, have no priors, old/youth priors, or minor stuff; this should be simple. Most states have statutes that allow for expunging, null pros, etc. At the very most, probation/fine is in your future. Seems kind of silly to even endure that if this is the whole story.

Off topic, but what's up with the first page tonight? Friday? Fullish moon? Holiday weekend? SR and weapons charges. What's next?

This thread makes no sense.  You would need hundreds of thousands of dollars in hardware to even begin to touch the profits involved with drugs sales, and theft.   Put it this way, how much hardware would you need to pull min $100 a day, and where is that money coming from?  To get rich at this stage, you're already rich, or a thief that belongs in  jail.

No you wouldn't. If you have $10,000 you could start a good mining operation, and from there you just buy mining machines and solar equipment.

While I'm not sure most people in Jail would have the finincal resources to make money from bitcoin when they got out. I do like to see people who like to write letters for those in jail.  A lot of people in jail are nothing more than victims of a society they were raised/brought up in and/or victims of the war on drugs.

I don't have any links on hand but a quick google search should find a few good programs that deal with making prison pen pals.

Surprised to not see this posted yet: http://www.mail-to-jail.com/

I know Rich Paul, and he definitely doesn't belong there.

Thank you, that's all I was looking for Smiley

I would like to start sending letters to people in jail.

1st. I've been in jail and I know it's awesome getting mail
2nd. When they get out they have to go on probation usually, and need a job. Bitcoin mining & trading (and things like writing on Devtome) could legally fill that void so that they don't have to turn right back to criminal activity.
3rd. The idea of Bitcoin needs to be shared amongst struggling people

How about a Bitcoins for Bail fund?

To get some pre-trial detainees out.

Dope busts, etc.

"Good people at bitcointalk.org have decided to help you post bail..."

If they show up for trial, we re-cycle the money for someone else.

If they run, post their name and photo in this forum.

Evaluate the project periodically.

That would be pretty cool too. And we like vote on who the money goes to. We all look for good cases, then vote Smiley

Screw this. We need a private Bitcoin for-profit prison. Have them solve CAPTCHAs all day, pay in BTC. That's how you build an economy, guys.

Why not just get yourself back into jail and you could spread 'THE WORD' ?

I already said, it'll happen one day.

No one wants to go there, why even say that. Oh yea, breathe air, go to prison. Well, who ever goes first, don't forget to mention Bitcoin/Litecoin mining.

I'm not gonna go on purpose. I just know I will go again. I was in jail every 4 months from the ages of 15-17. I'm not glorifying it, just saying that I don't expect the police states of this country to allow me to keep my freedom for the entire rest of my life. Just to make sure I'm not disappointed with life, I expect to spend some time serving time for stupid shit the state says I can't do (like smoke weed in some states).
FinShaggy, it looks to me that you live on cloud cuckoo land with your head up your arse. Get a grip of reality FFS
