In my country I can see more and more people accepting digital payments, be it the mobile wallet payments or credit cards. Can't say that I am very happy at this. The problem with digital fiat payments is that the government can track us and our spending and I am not very comfortable with that. And also, the shift to digital fiat payments don't have anything positive for the crypto adoption.

We are still in the process of evolving because of the technology and we should not rush things because all of the great things take time before they are fully implemented. To answer the question of this thread, yes I still need cash for everyday use because some of the places that I go are not still accepting cryptocurrencies or any cashless payment method, so it is still a must for me to bring cold cash everyday.

In our contemporary world, cash is needed every day to patronize goods and services for our survival. Cryptocurrencies and other forms of digital currencies are still emerging because they are yet to hit the mainstream adoption - not everyone across the globe is acquainted with the use of digital currency.
Agree with you, I think even digital currency like crypto or fiat still can't dominate, because the current era hasn't changed,
people still haven't educated about digital platforms, for the next decade we still need cash, but for the next decade, we dont know yet

Yeah man, i really need cash for every day to day work. I find crypto as a investment but it gets harder for me to spend it in my country though there is no regulation on it here. The thing is that very few people are aware of crypto here and most deny accepting it fearing that what it will give return if the market collapse.

Yes, most of the time cash needs to be used for daily use. Because most of the time we like to cash in any type of transaction and also do it. Just like when we exchange cryptocurrency or bitcoin, but by cash only.
In some cases, the use of cash is very low. When a trader supplies his products in the shop, then the trader does not get the price of his product immediately. So here cash was not used.

Thank You

In the country I live, yes, I really needs cash.
I have bitcoin and other crypto currency but this is useless to me if I cannot convert it to cash, majority of us still needs cash
and I never think any chances that bitcoin will replace cash in the future.

I don't think that we are anywhere near the cash eradication phase. I do use a lot of cash everyday. It's just more convenient in my country. Not every store has an option to pay through cards, forget about cryptocurrency. We have  along to go to reach a phase where we won't need cash. There are many small scale vendors and merchants which run solely on cash.

We are working on Golden Currency project ( https://goldencurrency.money ), where we issue money that is available both in crypto and in cash form. We find the possibility to use crypto money in cash form as one of advantages. We expect that almost everybody anyway uses cash and in such a case the lack of such opportunity limits the potential use of currency. That's why we started the poll to prove it. Would be glad for your votes and comments regarding your view on such an option.
I usually still use cash to buy food from restaurants, yes mostly only for buy food. I bought many books at online shop and I pay it by bank transfer so I usually do both, online transaction and offline transaction. The possibility to use crypto money in cash form is not so practical, I prefer like to use cryptocurrency directly. I hope that there are more restaurants that accept bitcoin in the future.

Atomic app also supports buying BTC or other coins in cash. I really find that this is a great method and it needs to be expanded.
When I want to buy BTC, I need to go through an intermediary trading floor in my country and the exchange process is very time consuming and fee is quite high.
therefore, I always support wallet systems that support such direct payment.

Really surprised when I see the result of the poll. 60% of the people here using cash?! In 2019, if you live in a city, you don't need to use those old papers and metals. Am I wrong?
I dont use cash for months at a time but then I tend to buy in bulk.   If you are going for a daily paper and so on then to use cash is fairly normal still.     Contactless cards are some kind of replacement but mostly people stick with cash still as its more definite.     In terms of efficiency everything is going electronic and probably wont be optional at some point

believe that in the not too distant future we will have more options for instant payments with crypto-coins, in fact we will have the technology to do so!

It doesn't mean that this 60% are not using credit cards or debit cards. I have two different credit cards with me. But even then, for some of the purchases I use physical cash. I don't feel very comfortable while paying street vendors with online payment methods. For such instances, my preferred mode of payment is banknotes / coins.

Yes you are not right because recently I have seen a survey report and it was saying that now we can do more things with crypto currency that we are doing with cash, so crypto currency has changed our life we are getting more opportunities to live a golden life, we can buy we can see and we can eat by paying even without any problem.

I use cash for most of my small shopping like getting snacks, groceries, beverages at bars, club entry, office stuff, etc. But that is mostly because most businesses don't accept cryptocurrencies as a method of payment yet so the answer to your questions is an obvious yes!

Most people in my country are still using cash for their payments. I pay almost all of my daily payments by credit card.  Because I want to sure my payments are taxed and in terms of national economy using a credit card is the best way. Unfortunately I don't have the stores that I can use the payment option with cryptocurrency yet.

Of course, I still need cash as a legitimate exchange medium for now, but if the government in my country has legalized the use of Bitcoin as a legitimate exchange medium, I will definitely use Bitcoin for daily exchanges. Because it's very easy to use Bitcoin, only with a smartphone.

Would you use it to pay for the stuff in different shops if the government could let you do it? Bitcoin is an investment, first of all, and I do not think it is a good idea to use it in shopping.

Accepting cryptos is credit card in every day usage is something that is going to happen to be 100%. Then I think that cash will be used only for illegal thing. Cuz if we are cashless then cash have more value then crypto or payment cards.
