Lol, wtf you're telling to others. Without license your domen name can be blocked anytime (because of that many bitcoin casinos have black list of countries, like USA, because if they will accept people from USA without license, they will be seized) if any customer will complain to goverment. The best way is to buy offshore license (like Baham island or Cyprus) because this countries have agreement with UK and EU about gambling policy.

You can start your business without license, but be ready to stay in darkness forever.

No it is not a must.

One of the biggest casinos around have no licenses at all. Freebitco.in for example have no licenses yet they attract thousands of players every day.

As long as you don't deal FIAT a license isn't necessary. It would be a plus but definitely not a must.

Well, in gambling business I don't have much idea about the license for online casinos. It is still gambling. Some countries may not need to have a license for a bitcoin casino but if you want to be safe better to apply for a license. Though online casinos use virtual currencies still it may still be converted into cash that makes it a form of gambling. To avoid the problem in the future it is good if acquire a license to our gambling business and also the legitimacy of the your company.

well, a license is really needed because the existence of the license can convince gamblers that the website has a good reputation and can be trusted, but you should know that there are currently gambling places that don't think about it but still run their business as an online gambling place.

This is actually true, most gambling websites will not acquire license at the very early stage of their operations. They can apply for license, either from Curacao, Malta, Cyprus and to add Estonia for inexpensive and fast processing of gambling license. But I'm curious if the OP finally got his own casino. He was last active last Oct 2017, did he launch his bitcoin casino in the forum without us knowing that he is behind such casino?

Need and should are different things. If you want to start a casino you do not need anything, you just need one website and you have a casino, simple as that.

However if you want to own a proper one that people could have fun with, you should register somewhere, it is not even that much of a trouble because you can register in some shady country with shady laws and keep paying them to make you look legit whereas you are basically not even properly registered anywhere and nothing will happen to you.

All of those coracao or whatever licenses worth literally zero to me for example, even the best places that have it, means zero to me, if I do not trust a place I will not start because of that shady license, either I trust them directly or I do not trust them, license worths nada.

Some fake website has flawless designs , banners , fonts , etc. But you are right the majority does not look good. Creating a fake license is very possible, I encountered a scam projects before and they have created a fake license but it is not gambling-related, some people will just look at the piece of document and will not bother to verify It, so we need to be careful and take time to read some reviews. I guess those gambling sites without a license has gained trust after existing for a long time with good service. But I am still confused, is license on online gambling really required?

I believe that it depends a lot on where you have the registered office of the company that will manage the casino I believe in America and Europe a license is needed and also guarantees that the games are fair and have economic coverage, other countries (Panama?) are more permissive and perhaps none of this is needed, in other countries games of chance with crypto payments are still prohibited

I think yes because an online casino is required to apply for a gambling license so they allow them to process payments. But I dont know if its the same when opening an online Bitcoin Casino because fiat money is used for betting in a online casino I dont know if they allow to used crypto. But I think there are almost the same but not the way of payment.

if you want to open an online casino and your country requires a license, and you want everything legal, you have to have it. If you think it is not profitable for you then do not open it, but by the way, if you feel it is better to change the country and open it, so do it.
