Here's a question to the audience. Do you actually buy stuff with crypto, like services or goods? If yes, what kind?

I've recently got a Binance card to play around with and use it to pay for everyday expenses. Works pretty well.

I have used binance card for nearly anything. I don't think i can in the future as taxing on it gets more and more difficult to report in the future where i live. It has been a fun ride though and very easy to use. I think i am moving to revolut now, as in withdrawing my fiat money that i get from selling cryptos to there.

They don't handle cryptos but it's a real bank and i don't get trouble with micro payment taxation.

I do not have a binance card but I sometimes use crypto to buy some assets. Also, since most of my money are still in crypto, whenever I need money to buy something, like food, I will withdraw some, convert it to my fiat currency, and then use it to buy food.
I currently do no have lots of direct usage of crypto when it comes to buying goods and/or services. But I am looking forward into it.

I honestly cannot see the relevance of people's unity with NFT. In fact, I didn't even thought of that. How do you mean "unity" when it comes to NFT? Also, how can people achieve convenience and a simpler life because of NFT? Sorry but I cannot find the relevance  Undecided

A lot, you can buy subscriptions, gift cards and anything though I need to exchange my crypto to fiat sometimes to withdraw and buy things and goods since some services are not yet accepting cryptocurrency but most of my money is in crypto and if I need fiat I just convert it. So far I spend more crypto rather than converting and withdrawing it to fiat.

For now I have never tried to buy an item using crypto currency, because in my country the service of using crypto has not been fully recognized by the government, if later the buying and selling service using crypto can be used legally then I will be very happy to buy an item using crypto because it will feel privileges for us as crypto lovers.

there are still many countries that have not been able to accept Bitcoin as a means of payment, because the price is volatile, and cannot be used as a benchmark,
in your case it is only for friends, if you buy at a coffee shop, then it also cannot be done, yes it is interesting experience, I also spend crypto just to buy something like electronics,
yes only some of my investment, because I still invest in crypto
Yeah, I told you right? My experience cannot be used as a standard, but I answered because the author's question was "have you ever?". You can re-check my answer for @Lantind

I regularly recharge my mobile phones with bitcoin. There are services both online and offline that help with this. I have also pay my school fees with bitcoin through an exchanger before! Cryptocurrency is highly liquid in my country and people believes cryptocurrency is better than fiat! There are many service providers accepting cryptocurrency!

Spending crypto from mobile phone is very easy nowadays indeed.
May i know what wallet you are using in your phone ? Many people using trust wallet like me.
I usually spend crypto with my trust wallet to buy and sell cryptocurrency, and of course for profit.

~ But in this case, we must be also very careful and wise enough in deciding which charity and be careful of every scammer that confess as charity team but in fact they are onlyscammers or thieves.
due decentralize system we could not track the scamer that open fake charity .there will alot scamer will take their own advantages from crypto market and even in humanity they will took it too.

if you spending crypto for buying anything or travelling maybe i could give you recommendation. i know crypto project that named STORMX give us cashback for any token we used to shopping or anything else. this token already adopted and could use  to pay at several merchant. alot benefit using Stormx because we go cashback and also other benefit from staking.
yes i heard about stormx adoption in any merchant online , and for those crypto holder that frequently shopping could use this token to get cashback or other benefit

Unfortunately, crypto is illegal as a currency or used as payment methods in my country. So, there seems not available and no merchants that accept crypto as payment.
That is why so far, I am only using them for trading and investing.  No special thing and never experience for the payment method.

There is a company selling books and you can pay crypto while paying for them. I use them online but it says online that they accept crypto in person as well. I have bought 4 books and one magazine from them so far and that seems like the most "frequent" thing that I do. Once I dealt with expedia and did my hotel reservation there, it wasn't frequent thing, just something I did a few years back, and that worked out well enough for me as well.

I also did a reservation with cancelling there as well, I paid in crypto, and they repaid me to my credit card and it was the same amount in dollars that I paid, bitcoin went lower so I was lucky, bought more btc thanks to that.

Yes I buy something I like using my bitcoin/ crypto balance for my needs let me tell you a scenario
A friend of mine who will use bitcoin too and they have a small business then it's a big surprise at me that my Money is running out and can not sustain my daily needs like rice/ foods then I have an idea that what if I buy foods using my crypto and until now I used some of my btc to buy in my friends business.

I don't consider using bitcoin to buy petty things as rice and food stuffs because they are edible and will be eaten and excreted after some time but your BTC is also gone and you don't have any memory of it. I believe changing it to cash will be fine. I prefer to buy things that can be remembered with bitcoin, things you can see, feel, or touch. Bitcoin is very precious and has that kind of value.
.we are in a different situation my country is in the mode of recovery from the super typhoon last December. The government financial subsidy is not enough and for it's hard to get a regular job that's ill force my self to buy some foods using my btc in order to survive.
You are right too mate that converting your btc to cash and buy some things that can be used / preserve for a memory is a good idea.

I once made a purchase of stuff using crypto around 2018, maybe July if I'm not mistaken. At that time ETH price was still around $450. I've bought some real coffee from a friend at Central Java, Indonesia. After that, I never bought real stuff using cryptocurrency again.
It's just a moment when you and your friend have an absolute agreement, and I'm sure your friend also knows about cryptocurrency so they want to accept it, while for a trader who doesn't know how cryptocurrency is, I'm sure he won't accept it in terms of any purchases.
So what you are talking about also cannot be used as the main benchmark for purchasing goods through cryptocurrency.
Since the question is "have you ever", so that is my answer.
Although it cannot be a standard for purchasing stuff through cryptocurrency, I think my experience is one of the goals of cryptocurrency, we can do real transactions (not just online shopping) with real goods, and based on trust between users.

I'm paying my internet connection and my electricity with Cryptocurrency my earnings from the signature campaign and trading I send it to my local exchange from there I can pay with Bitcoin or Ethereum with my utility expenses, it's very convenient using our local exchange as you don't have to go to the payment center everything is done with one click, I also buy software from people using Cryptocurrency some of them prefer Cryptocurrency instead of fiat.
