I joined up over here in 2012-13. At the time it seemed like a way to make a quick buck. Overtime as i read about it more and more, i became interested in the freedom it provides. As time has went on however, my interest and belief in bitcoin have waned. I won't get into the details of why, but i'm wondering what your honest opinion of bitcoin is, with a simple vote, and possibly an explanation.

I am concerned that too many criminals view Bitcoin as a vital part of their retirement plans, and the "real world" is continually reducing the amount of "freedom it provides".
Looking at the sorry state of fiat money, it is easy to see great potential for Bitcoin to enhance the future of many millions of people.
Criminals trade in gold and other jewels as well but that shouldn't be a reason for the Government or other countries to ban bitcoins. If gold has not been banned, I believe that bitcoins too will be treated as a crypto currency.
However, once this virtual currency is regulated, it may lsoe most of its vital features and fiat will become obsolete then.
