I still use MEW. Of course, I do not advise you to keep a lot of money there. The thefts are all caused by holders who are not careful. It is necessary to save all the links in bookmarks or use extensions.

I am still using mew because theres no problem with these wallets, the problem occurs when the hackers used the DNs servers which the official website of myetherwallet.com are using causing those hackers to manage to redirect users to their phishing sites, which is the main reason these people got hacked using mew website.

With the recent hack, I assume a lot of people will switch to something else, what do you think?

I still recommend using a hardware wallet over the safety benefits though.

if you have checked your DNS address and the rest of your private information about your MEW wallet then your safe no need to doubt to use again myetherwallet. However, always get rid of phishing site.

I use a hardware wallet so I'm safe from the hacks Grin

even thou you use Hardware wallet like trezor and ledger and forget to get it from your pocket and washed your jeans then that's last.
your safe from hacks. but not always safe in real situation. haha

Yes. My tokens are still stored in MEW. But after the warning advisory still have not used it yet. Waiting that it is clear before I use it again.

Using hardware wallet is great because of the security in this wallet is sure and the hacker cannot penetrate it. But nowadays using MyEtherWallet is good too and it is also secure. The security of MyEtherWallet is depended on you and how you keep safe it. Just keep safe your private key and don't engage in any suspicious site or transaction using your wallet.

i dont login to MEW. I check my balance in the etherscsn

I do it the same way.
You could even use MEW in View-Only-Mode by using your public-key but Ethplorer/Etherscan is better.
If you don't have a hardware-wallet you could sign your transactions offline on a 100% malware-free device:
https://myetherwallet.github.io/knowledge-base/offline/making-offline-transaction-on-myetherwallet.html

Yes, it's all clear that the balance can be seen through other services, but the fact is that not knowing that there are problems on the server or hackers' attack can go to the MEW and eventually lose your money, is a very worrying factor.

Again, MyEtherWallet was not hacked, their DNS servers were, there is a big difference. That being said, I do still continue to use MEW, but I am certainly being a lot more cautious, ensuring that I check the SSL certificate.

I've also installed Metamask as an additional security measure. In the long run, it's probably a good idea to move your crypto to a hardware wallet such as a Trezor or Ledger, but for those lacking the budget there simply isn't many more secure options.

Remember guys, it is your onus to check whether a website is legit before typing in your personal information, if you fail to take the necessary precautions then you have only yourself to blame.

At the moment, I still use this wallet, but because of the recent hacking hackers, I'm thinking of changing something and providing security to my tokens.

There was no hacking, there was a replacement for DNS servers and these are different things. People who value their money look at the address of the site and the certificate that is specified in front of it. I saw that the certificate burns red that day, which means its invalidity and did not send money.
Be careful and you will be all right.

I am still looking for an option to MEW. I expect the Kosala Hemachandra(chief executive of MEW) to talk on how to reward the victims because of their inefficiency. It is quite disheartening that about $150000 was lost by the so called an inevitable hack. much should be discussed on the hack and how to prevent such in the future

As long as you follow security protocols and use at least Metamask (but preferably hardware wallets), I don't see any reasons why we should not use MEW anymore. Just remember to check the certificate to avoid redirection to scam websites.

Right now i prefer to use MyCrypto. They confirmed in Twitter that their site wasn't hacked, so it's safe to use.

I like MEW and don't plan to change it, I use it with ledger and I think for those who don't have ledger or trezor should buy one, in case this is not possible now, follow all the rules how to keep your data and keys safe, don't open the links or emails  you don't know and everything will be fine.

I still use MEW. But i go to the website using the Metamask. And I did not have any problems. The site  I check through the extension (SimilarWeb - Traffic Rank & Website Analysis), which shows statistics about the sites, so as not to get caught on the phishing site.

It won't save you from a hack like the one you just had. You can also stumble upon a phishing site and give your key. As far as I know

Yes i'm still using MEW and I will continue to do this. I hope they'll make the right conclusions after the hacker attack and we won't have such problems in the future.

I think that can be of course to move on the other might, but this not guarantees you a safe possession them. I think MEW is still a security leader, just a lot of scammers and hackers are targeting MEW.

I trust this wallet. But I heard that some addresses were hacked. I'm frightened by the fact that hackers become very skilled.
actually gan correctly now his increasingly hecker master and advanced gan to influence the bitcoiner gan so we should seek clarity and truth so that we have no doubt
