I believe the price will go above $10k someday in a few years, but not in 2015. Of course it is just my wild guess.

I heard that was leak from PayPal that from January they will accept bitcoin .. Some speculate that since January starts the pump to $ 10k.. We will see..

To maintain that price there would have to be $36,000,000 flowing in to BTC every day. Right now there is about $1,350,000 per day. We may hit $10,000, but we will not maintain that level in 2015.

That target is too high for 2015. Maybe $ 3,000 can be reached in best case.
I guess, we will see $ 10,000 not before 2017. Huge gains need time.

No, and not even in 2016. There is too much inflation, sell-offs, FBI auctions, hacked exchange, and manipulation to allow for that increase in price. At least for the next few years.

The price now is $360. To get to $10000, we need to have a 27-fold increase in just 13 months. I don't consider it impossible, but highly unlikely. Even in the previous rally (many call it bubble), the price only increase around 12-fold before going back down.

It's unrealistic as hell. 1 to 1K was insane, and happened. Now 1k to 10k? thats stupid IMO.

The reason it is tentative is because there is a high correlation between market difficulty in mining price
And well future demand and press, its still a growing technology and a lot of things happened this year
It's possible a lot more things that will drive the price up will occur next year for certain so all in all we will see.
Are you sure there is a high correlation between difficulty and price?
I can't find a plotting of that, but by comparing https://blockchain.info/charts/difficulty and https://blockchain.info/charts/market-price, they don't look to be highly correlated.

I feel like there's basically no chance it'd be worth that much in 2015. I could see it going back up to $1000, maybe surpassing the value of gold or essentially staying on par with gold. But $10,000 per bitcoin just seems exorbitant in that time period.
This isn't to say we all wish it'd be worth that much... That'd be pretty awesome.
