In my country, bitcoin becomes controversial because of the scammers who scammed almost 900M PHP. I always hear in news and with my neighbourhood that bitcoin is scam. They absorb the wrong information dealing with bitcoin. As a matter of fact, I do not say to them that I am working with cryptocurrency because they just say this is a scam. However, I always say to them that they need to analyze why bitcoin is trending right now, not because it is a scam but a lot of benefits bring by bitcoin.

Actually, the issues are made by people who are ignorant of the system or those who have hidden agenda. They are the people who want to control it so that they can regulate and benefit. It might be just fine if the purpose of doing so is for the common good but what if it is just for personal intentions?

In the formation and development of bitcoin after 10 years, doubts and controversies have always arisen around blockchain technology and the formation of bitcoins with non-centralized power features and anonymity in transaction blocks. I think Bitcoin is indeed controversial to new people and new countries. That is why there are some people who do not like Bitcoin and there are some countries who block Bitcoin. That is very normal and understandable. I also have that feeling too when I first know about Bitcoin. I was afraid of Bitcoin whether to invest or to collect it. I once have a job that pays me with Bitcoin, it is an online job of course. And that is quite good job. Even though the payment is pretty enough, but I can invest with it into Bitcoin.But you know what ? At that time I was too scared to invest Bitcoin. The price of Bitcoin was still around $400 at that time and I was very regret, hahaha. I wish I could save some Bitcoin at that time even though I have to use my salary. But I cannot blame myself because at that time I currently have to pay school fees so it is okay for me I guess. This is so useless if I keep regreting and not doing anything. For banking, maybe bitcoin or cryptocurrency can be called controversial because bitcoin or cryptocurrency can disrupting banking bussiness. Hacking or illegal activities not just on bitcoin, even on fiat money everybody do that. Its depend on holder want to do illegal activities or not

For me I don't see it controversial. Media just spun everything out of control portraying bitcoins negative effect like its being used to buy drugs or to fund terrorist globally. It might be disruptive, I would have to agree because its really is. We have never seen this kind of technology before, that's why government are really afraid because we don't know what will be the effect. And we are still in its infancy, that's why we are still in the dark as far as the result. But so far its all good, but they have to take drastic actions today otherwise they won't be able to control it in the next 5-10 years.
