For the moment I think it's impossible, we all know that the USD is the world's strongest currency, all countries transactions use USD so impossible bitcoin could replace USD.
Of course it is impossible to happen, not only impossible to replace the dollar, but other fiat currencies. Come on bitcoin will not replace any local currency #imo

seems not if soon. Because the dollar is much stronger and has been held by many people and countries in the world. While bitcoin is sophisticated, highly fluctuated value is also one of drawbacks.

Bitcoin does not scale. There is no such way that bitcoin could ever be used for payroll, purchasing food, paying for housing, transportation costs, funding corporations, manufacturing, agriculture, mining, investment savings, etc. It is technically not possible to replace the Dollar Just my opinion
But it's good to invest Bitcoin for the future
I don't agree with your statement, you can buy pizza with bitcoin and even things online, though it's not a legal currency
but it has the power and people recognize it as a currency that has a value.
In one form what the above mate quoted is true, because of the scaling issue and the fluctuations in several sectors the usage of bitcoin has got limited. So replacing is quite an impossible one, but over the years the situation will change, because now few firms have started paying in bitcoin, we can buy houses, cars and so on.

Bitcoin will only follow the dollar but will not replace the dollar, take the easy example until now there are still many people who make transactions using real money and still have to meet the second party without knowing how to transact via ATM, currently we are discussing about Digital money there will be more People Which will have difficulty in transacting.

Dollar is a world currency that plays a very important role for the world economy, So it is not easy to replace it with bitcoin.
If bitcoin will replace the dollar as the world currency may still take a lot of time,
Because there are still many people who are not familiar with bitcoin and its function.

Bitcoin- in bullish time

As long as those process can be done online then bitcoin can really do that and maybe replace dollar as a currency because bitcoin is a currency and it is very possible to the small things from those lists and it is already happening in the country of Japan which is taking advantage of what bitcoin can give to its users. Bitcoin will be the possible next currency and we know it.

No, i don't think Bitcoin can replace dollars in any way omg near future because one can not ignore the fact that nobody governs the flow and circulation of Bitcoin.
I agree with you cryptocurrencies cannot replace Dollars though the bitcoin price will rise soon but it will not accepted by the whole world as of now but because many country like japan accepting bitcoin we can't tell if it can replace our current money.

I doubt this will happen. In the first place, the government does not entirely trusts bitcoin. The government still prefer their own currency than any crypto currency. Also, bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency so the government does not have the power to touch it. Meaning, they cannot regulate bitcoin. The government is always demanding for control and since they cannot control bitcoin, then they will not let bitcoin to surpass their currency (dollar).

Yeah I also think that it is impossible to replace the dollar. Even I doubt bitcoin can replace fiat money in every country though. I'm just sure bitcoin could be an option in online currency

ATM i see a few problems. Scalability - bTC blockchain as limitations for mass adoptions. Speed - transaction speed is not enough for everyday use. States, banks and Corps wont let it go that easy. So i see a growth in BTC adoption, but not mass adoption ATM.

It will not be called a crypto currency if it is centralized. But they can make their very own artificial digital money where they can have an unlimited supply to the people. But of course it's totally different from bitcoin, once they will keep on supplying it, that currency will be eaten by the inflation unlike bitcoin it's demand is getting higher when it will reach it's total supply limit.
Cryptocurrency is more like being digital and they are connected because they can be found in the internet and if the make their own artificial money for themselves then i think it will be more stabled than the usual cryptocurrencies or digital money because the government will make that tweaks for their own money to be stable just like fiat and it will be a good alternative for the fiat because you don't need wallet anymore because you just need device like smartphone then you can bring your money but if we talk about investment then the real cryptocurrencies will still the winner.

Yes government will make that digital currency that they will be making stable to make the people comfortable on using it. There will be some sort out microchips or RFID, this type of transaction and wallet is already implemented not just on US but as well as other rich countries, if I'm not mistaken it's already being done on Switzerland. But I hope that they will consider bitcoin on it.

i think everything is possible in this world. it is also possible but it depend on the  interest of the people, if people are interested in bitcoin and they will like to use bitcoin instead of fiat, and if they have all the facilities available that we already have in fiat currency then it is really possible that that bitcoin will replace dollar soon.

I don't surmise that it will supplant the dollar soon, yet over the long haul I trust that the bitcoin will be more significant. Why? Since the entire world can utilize it, it has natural esteem, it can be separated into modest bits and utilized for microtransactions, and the world bank doesn't control it. I think inside 100 years we see the USD fall, yet before that we will see significantly more war as nations martingale to attempt to recoup misfortunes.

There were new USD falling but they can still handle to go through, but when bitcoin availabilit and adaptability occirs ,USD might not no longer stablize its position due to the economic problem of America. Yet bitcoin have need more developments to move.
I don't think do. Market of bitcoin is too smal for USD. Bitcoin currency is just a sub currency to support transactions online.
But l think that bitcoin will replace dollar soon because l noted that in the few years time bitcoin is very  famous in the world and all traders are attract to the bitcoin because the trading of bitcoin is very useful benefits and many peoples are invest their money in bitcoin. And I think after 10 or 20 years bitcoin will replace dollar soon.

Why are we thinking that bitcoin will ever replace dollar, we all know that it is impossible, just think of it, whose government will accept these digital currency in their country as their currency, bitcoin has anonymity, it is decentralized. So that means they will not be in control of the government, and they will not accept that. And we all know that these fiats are also a way of knowing one's citizenship, it is important to a country. Bitcoin will just stay as a secondary currency.

Exactly. One thing for sure is that governments would want to have control over the issuance of money and the usage of the same, leaving Bitcoin out of the equation due to its decentralized nature. Thus, they would look for ways to design a digital currency of their own within a private blockchain managed by themselves.

Bitcoin on the other hand, would remain as an alternative for those people who want to stay away from the surveillance of governments, as well as those who are unbanked. While physical cash would no longer exist, we will participate in a cashless society driven by the economics of digital currencies. Just my thoughts.  Grin

I think, but it will be needed a lot of time and activities. Dollar has a huge popularity and acceptance which would be helpful for dollar to live a long time. On the other hand, Bitcoin is getting popular now a days but it should be more convenient platform to accept all over the world, if it'll happen then Bitcoin may be able to be accepted and credible for the mass people.
yes any thing can be possible in this world. bitcoin can replace Dollar too, but first bitcoin has to reach to the status of USD. as USD is one of the most popular currency of the world. and most of the people of the world are depending on USD for business and other important matter, while the users of bitcoin are still very low and they need a continuous struggle, so as to increase the number of bitcoin users, because it can only be possible when the users of bitcoin will increase more and more.

Bitcoin needs not only to increase the number of users, but also make it possible to perform transactions without the Internet.

On point, because the internet is not accessible worldwide, we need to find better way (not mentioning the high internet rate in some countries) where it's like a highway robbery, you're paying a hundred bucks in the internet that is so slow. The other thing is data connections can drain battery faster, well if you are in shopping and there are so many transactions to make then what if your device go to low battery mode? ( We need to improve and use more cold storage to solve the problem here, pay Bitcoin using cold storage). How about the everyday routine of people like riding on a bus or taxi? We will gonna need a scan and go here in order for the payment to be fast. There are still so many issues, we are not technologically innovated enough in order to run this cryptocurrencies transactions thing but as the world rotate it will come, we can't deny that this will be the future.
