I don't surmise that it will supplant the dollar soon, yet over the long haul I trust that the bitcoin will be more significant. Why? Since the entire world can utilize it, it has natural esteem, it can be separated into modest bits and utilized for microtransactions, and the world bank doesn't control it. I think inside 100 years we see the USD fall, yet before that we will see significantly more war as nations martingale to attempt to recoup misfortunes.

There were new USD falling but they can still handle to go through, but when bitcoin availabilit and adaptability occirs ,USD might not no longer stablize its position due to the economic problem of America. Yet bitcoin have need more developments to move.

I think no, it's only a speculation, because Dollars was the basis of Bitcoin prices in the market. It's a long journey Bitcoin replace the Dollar however, maybe it happen if the digital currency were legalize to the whole world. I'm just expecting that it would happen sooner.

It's not going to do it anytime soon or likely even within 15 years, but it could in our lifetime I reckon. I think more economic instability in certain countries and maybe another financial collapse/crisis will happen soon rather than later and that could bring in many new people to bitcoin which could have a snowball effect.

absolutely not. there is no point in thinking it ever will replace any major fiat currency. just stop thinking/hoping that it will happen. it will not.

Why will it not? If in the future bitcoin keeps going up and fiat keeps going down which is what happens when they print more of it on a whim people might wise up. Money should grow over time not devalue and bitcoin could solve this and that's what's great about a deflationary currency.
yes that is right, it is not really gong to happen so soon. i think it will take decades, because still a very little number of people know about bitcoin, while majority of people do not have any knowledge about bitcoin. i think still people need good knowledge about bitcoin. and specially in backward countries where people do not have any knowledge about bitcoin.

It will be hard to replace in any ways. BTC been famous but not as famous of dollar ,BTC were usually used digitally while dollar can be used in all aspect and worldwide so its unnecessary to replace bitcoin.

Why are we thinking that bitcoin will ever replace dollar, we all know that it is impossible, just think of it, whose government will accept these digital currency in their country as their currency, bitcoin has anonymity, it is decentralized. So that means they will not be in control of the government, and they will not accept that. And we all know that these fiats are also a way of knowing one's citizenship, it is important to a country. Bitcoin will just stay as a secondary currency.

I think governments will start using blockchain technologies in creating their currencies. A kind of replacement of dollar with a... bitdollar (biteuro, bityen, bitpound etc)  Smiley Grin Grin

And it will be a digital dollar, yen, euro and everything. That will be the start of upgrade by technology when it comes to the financial matters of each country. I do believe that we are near to that place, the government just need to realize that there are still people that are computer illiterate but not in America but in some countries.

IF what you are telling is going to happen then i think the value of following this technology will become failed as same thing will happen that each country government will control digital currency also and which wont make it good for it. So i think their wont be another bitcoin and both bitcoin and dollare are different, one is used online and another is used in real life.

I don't think there will be another bitcoin or government controlled crypto. They just don't like decentralization, if you are aware of the microchips that is already being implemented to different countries, that's the start of the upgrade of US and other followers for their money but it's not a crypto, it looks like a credit card or digital cash.
If there will be a controlled cryptocrurrency by the government or any organization then it will not become a popular cryptocurrency because a lot of people hates centralization and they will just ignore it or make a protest for it because most of the cryptocurrencies are created for decentralization or freedom in other words which is the best as of now.

It will not be a "crypto" I guess but they will use the terminology as a digital money. But that's the real thing about centralization, they will make the people believe that centralization is a good thing but in the end that's the reason why they can start to control people. And it's still up to us if we will depend on them, but I believe most of us will stay at crypto / bitcoin.

It will not. Bitcoin will keep on existing alongside usd. Bitcoin is a great investment but a very poor primary currency. It is good complementary currency though. Bitcoin offers diversity in currency system. It should be taken in that sense only. Bitcoin is not here for replacing fiat. But offering a completely new kind of currency. People should understand that.

Maybe replacing USD and fiat overall is an exaggeration, but definitely getting a big cut of the market, a prestigious status as a top universal currency and getting sole domination over the online and international payment fields are easier to achieve goals. Completely removing as rooted as fiat might be difficult but changing it isn't as much.

I don't think bitcoin will supplant dollar, despite the fact that we are on an advanced time. Dollars , or when all is said in done fiats, were brought together while bitcoins were decentralized. If at any time bitcoin will supplant dollar, I figure bitcoin will be unified, much the same as fiat and I think individuals don't need that. I think its enough bitcoin will remain alongside dollar

I don't think that, bitcoin and dollar have different functions, they are totally different regarding of acceptability and availability. Dollar has huge platform which is used all around the world, people can use dollar whenever he or she wants.
On the other hand, bitcoin has limited space and acceptance, it only can be used on internet. So there is no way to replace dollar with bitcoin soon.

You can't just compare fiat and digital currench because they are really in each of their own levels. Bitcoin will stay as an online payment and a secondary currency fiat will stay at it is.

Dollar is the basis of bitcoin value so its far from replacing to its usage. In terms of digitally used bitcoin can suit well but sollar already knew globally as the global currency.

There is no way Bitcoin can replace the American dollar even when the value is way ahead of the dollar. By the way, the dollar isn't the only international currency through which Bitcoin can be exchanged for. There's the Euros and the British pounds sterling too. The dollar and Bitcoin will continue to exist side by side.
but to me i think it is possible. and specially the new generation who are really taking too much interest in bitcoin and hope that very soon they are going to make bitcoin as their main currency and will stat using it for everything, and through this way the use of Dollar will decrease and after some time people will completely stop using bitcoin.
It's really impossible because that time if it happens, america would not be the most powerful country, they will not allow
it to happen and we will continue to be slave of a centralized government, we have bitcoin but we cannot fully use it.

agree, and i dont think so that there will be some other country who will be come the most powerful country aside from america, and incase if that happens, i dont think so that bitcoin will replace dollar, unless the so-called new powerful country will truely embrace bitcoin, then probably that will happen.

The government can copy the technology(bitcoin) except for the decentralized platform because the government will not exist if they will also follow that, they will remain to be centralized as they have the power and responsibility to monitors cash movement under the law.
With bitcoin we can see how our bitcoins move but we can never who are the person behind the movement which is almost impossible to hide to the government.
