I think bitcoin never replace dollar, we know dollar is the strongest currency in the world. We know dollar use not USA only but around the world. If replace will make turmoil and world economic recession.

I can see that it is possible and not, because possible in the way if Trump announces that the whole US will adopt the usage of bitcoin but that needs him to collect a lot of bitcoin first and in return for bitcoins. And not, because it is decentralized and it cannot be control by the government.
Well i don't really agree with the first comment about the dollar being the strongest currency though a lot of currencies base their rates on the dollar. Also i agree with you there that the government would find it challenging to control bitcoin if in case it is adopted in the future. Well bottom line is i don't really see bitcoin or any other type of currency replacing the dollar in the next 20years or so

According to the article, the CEO said that " but I think bitcoin could surpass the dollar as reserve currency within 10-15 years." Bitcoin will surpass it's use against the dollar. It will be great if the majority of the people around the world use Bitcoin. If that happens, I think that will be the start of the  ruling of Bitcoin. The wallet will be a reserve, instead of having banks to be used for storing your money.

Then at that time in the future, Bitcoin has surpassed the dollar.

BULL RUN until 2030
The difference between rich person and big bitcoin holders is they arent with bodyguards, and are waiting a bigger value at bitcoin, atleast is what i believe. Bitcoin has no way to replace any currencie since its just another option as payment and isnt a currencie with big support, atleast not as the others currencies.
lol! you are getting too literal here man, what is the relation with the topic for the rich having their own bodyguards?

Digital currency instead of cash, the country does not need to re - paper notes and coins, wood, cotton is not required, gold, silver and other metals do not need, the resources are kind of savings. But the money out, too early to say, for young people may disappear, but also a variety of online payment, to live, but for the elderly children, do not access to people?

I think for 10 years next it will be impossible for bitcoin to replace dollar, as we know fiat still dominate against cryptocurrencies
and another factor is because not all people can operate a gadget moreover using bitcoin
yeah the bitcoin adoption is not yet spreaded evenly
that's the main problem of bitcoin and it's cost a lot of time to grow not for 10 20 or 50 years only
cryptocurrency will feel exist if then the gital era fully adopted
for now it's far away , so bitcoin will going nowhere , it will remain far under fiat like dollar/euro.
Not just the distribution, who still do not know bitcoin also more than know. For the near future it seems impossible, until now there has not been a country that approves the Government even many bitcoin banned. It needs more good performance and promotion again if bitcoin want to replace the dollar.
Even if it's going to be legalize it cannot replace dollar, legalization of bitcoin will only give the government a full control of it and since fiat(dollar) was created by the government they would not easily allow it to be replace by bitcoin, it will create a big problem for people who does not have the capacity to comprehend bitcoin as a whole.
I think there is some country that actually bitcoin is legal but theyare still not replace the usd or their fiat in their places..
And i think it isimpossible that government will control bitcoin and i think many people here do not want it we are using bitcoin because of freedom and we do not want to pay a large fee for every transaction send worldwide. also there is no hassle to use bitcoin that is why we are using it but it is not the case that it can replace dollar..

I do not want to control the government Bitcoin. We can not allow government intervention in this area. Bitcoin was created for people that their life was better

Legalizing bitcoin will force us to be exposed and conected with our wallets and balances, with that said who cant protect our data from the hackers, or you do believe no one will try to get those data and sell it at dark marketplaces and some hitman group will visit some people to get control over those coins. I dont like the way it sounds the legalize of bitcoin, bitcoin wont replace anything its just another currencie as well payment processor, with a huge potencial.

You seem to have watched the Hitman movie too much. Legalizing Bitcoin in the sense you mean it (i.e. providing personal info to regulating bodies) would not be much different in respect to what you reveal right now. If you keep your money in a bank account, the government already knows everything about you, and you can be pretty sure that with Bitcoin things will remain essentially the same. In this way, I don't think that Bitcoin millionaires are somehow different from, say, dollar millionaires. Hitmen can visit them as easily...

I, too, news of the government's desire to control Bitcoin is very frustrating. This is not a good trend, Bitcoin spends its specificity, this can not be done

Indeed, it is not going to happen (Bitcoin replacing dollar), at least, not any time soon

On the other hand, I just can't see how the legalization of Bitcoin would give the government full control over it (or just a lot more control). Bitcoin is already fully legal in most influential countries (say, the US), but can we talk about governments of these countries controlling Bitcoin? I strongly suspect we can't say that. They might try to exert more control, but they don't actually have a lot of room for maneuvering since with Bitcoin it is a short road from complete laissez-faire to outright prohibition

Dollar is rule the world this days. I don't know will it be better t bitcoin move dollar from the top or not. Maybe we will live even worst if something like that happens. Who knows?!
I don't think the replacement will happen soon or in any time. Dollar is strong currency. The possible variant is that bitcoin will become same strong one day and take it's place among other strong currencies as Euro, Yen and others.

US is a strong country with a strong economy, I guess almost all country accepts dollar and I can say it's dominant. Though in this world, fiat inflate it's value but not so fast with dollars. People has the choice whether to invest their money in bitcoin as we believe it will be big in the future but not to the point that it's going to replace it.

Exactly. It will be extremely difficult for BTC to replace fiat currencies like the USD, but at least it makes it an alternative way to transact with other people in a freely and decentralized way. Maybe sometime in the future, we will get to see a new version of USD backed by the government, but this time using block chain technology which would make transactions near instant and at the same time secure.

Since it is possible to trace transactions much easier with block chain technology, than cash itself, then I think that this will be the path that the government will go towards the future. It this happens, then there would be practically no privacy at all since the government would be watching every single transaction you make, at any given point in time. Just sharing my thoughts.  Grin

The government hardly has any problem tracing your fiat transactions today. Banks won't open an account for you if you don't provide the complete details of your identity. So why should they stick to the blockchain technology and lay themselves out to trace all these innumerable transactions if they can obtain all info they need through banks?

If cash should get removed eventually, it will be digital fiat that is going to replace it
