I will say yes bitcoin will replace the dollar in the near future because the market value of bitcoin is high than dollar and people also like it so the demand of bitcoin is high as compared to other alt coins. In the near future bitcoin will earn much attention of the people the sale and purchase of each commodity will be done through bitcoin in every country and in each city the bitcoin will be easily acceptable for every transaction.

I think it's impossible to happen. Because as good as any bitcoin never replace dollar as international currency that applies in any country. While bitcoin, it always exist as a digital currency only, no more.

Coinbase CEO believes bitcoin will replace dollar within 15 years.

Read the following news:

Do you think it will be true? Are you positive towards bitcoin's future status?

I don't think so. Dollar is dollar and I bet it's hard to replace it. If bitcoin's value will increase more than what we expect for years maybe it will be possible. But i think it will take years to surpass it.
If we look at the market value of both the bitcoin and dollar, then bitcoin has already defeated dollar and is leading the market. However, till the time bitcoin will not be recognized by all of us, there is no way that bitcoin can replace dollar. Dollar is an internationally recognized currency and it will take lot of time and efforts for bitcoin to replace dollar. This is not an easy task to do.

I find it very difficult to replace the dollar in the near future, especially the dollar is the strongest currency of the world and is supported by the strongest country that is USA. In addition, the dollar is also a reference of world transactions so to change it will be difficult.
No I don’t agree with this. Everything in start is not important. As time goes on, it is getting fame day by day and you are earning some amazing results and responses. When dollar have come in the market, I am sure that would have same level of importance after nine years as bitcoin have now. It took time and same will happen with bitcoin, it will take time and it will surely replace dollar.

In my opinion bitcoin can not replace fiat.
Bitcoin is like gold and it is very much valuable.
One of the disadvantage of btc is it is very volatile compared to any other currencies.
But Bitcoin will exist like gold forever.

Nope. I very doubt government will want to relinquish control...

As a sub currency it could gain mainstream use but i think there will be much blood before BTC replace the Dollar.
I think bitcoin can not replace dollar soon.  Because still many people do not know about bitcoin.  And there are many millions people who still don't use Internet and than they how can depend on bitcoin.  So before the replacement of dollars, there is a urgent need that every person on earth can access the account and they should have a basic knowledge of Internet   than they can understand the bitcoins and till they will own the bitcoins.  Than there will be chances that bitcoin can replace dollars.  Bitcoin has strong potential but it needs and depends on Internet.  Without the access of Internet, bitcoin can be used,  stored  .
Yes i agree to you that bitcoin is impossible to replace the dollar for the other reason that we know that bitcoin is an crypto currency and today's world is not yet fully capable of running all things digitally and aside of that maybe government doesn't allow that to happen since one of the measure of country's economic progress is through there currency value, and other obvious reason that the government never let bitcoin to replace the dollar is there taxation will be lowered and political power will be lost.

Highly unlikely for the dollar to be taken over any time soon. Bitcoin is also very limited and very hard for the general public to acquire, so it's not really possible for it to be as widely used and accepted as a dollar.

I think it is not difficult because the value and the importance of the bitcoin are high and the people are investing in the bitcoin now for the long time. It is very possible that in the future people will start using the bitcoin as the side income and the future of the bitcoin and the crypto currency will increase more and more. I hope this will give the bitcoin business go more wide till the end of the year.

You have to get what you want your own way.
Hard to say, although this past few years btc is really doing good, lots of countries and government are still skeptical about it and won't recognize it as a currency, for it is decentralized and they can't control it. The way the dollar is now, it's hard to be replace by btc it's like a standard currency worldwide and I really think that  for now btc is good as it is.

I think it wint replace it because  the government wuldn permit it. It is impossible that banks and government institutions would permit that the power goes back to the people. If they have the power so have to follow them. If we have the power, they have to follow us.

One thing is for sure, democracy is nothing but an illusion. They say that the power is on us but then we don't even have a say on what the government wants to do. All we can do is follow because otherwise we will either be killed or be in jail or be in jail and then later on killed. I do believe that the government can never control bitcoin. They can ban all cryptocurrencies but how are they going to keep up? With a simple VPN, you can bypass ISP's disabled websites. Additionally, new ICOs are popping up every single day. Plus, they can't possibly ban forum sites or communities like reddit. I bet that most bitcoin forum sites have an anonymous admin or at least there would be new bitcoin forums that have a totally anonymous admins.

To sum up, the government have no power here. Like what they say, you can never know what a technology can do until a certain amount of time. The government is the one that made the Internet. Now the people have learned things and also learned how to bypass the government's ways.

No, it's impossible for bitcoin to replace the US dollar which serve us the standard currency globally. And as far as I know, the Bitcoin only owns small percentage in our economy.

I don't think bitcoin will replace dollars. I think that bitcoin will be a secondary paying method to buy the things you want. I think in the future you can probably only buy things online or via a card.

I agree with you people need to have knowledge before bitcoin can replace dollar but i think there are more possibilities than replacing dollar i think it will replace paypal because it is better to use and it is also has an online exchanging method.
That can happen because bitcoin is an online currency and not a real life so it is hard to replace dollar with it but it is easy to replace paypal with it or even ideal i think these 2 options are more common if we are talking about bitcoin replacement.

I do not think bitcoin can replace the dollar because the dollar has a very strong effect because most of the currency is referring to the dollar. The dollar is strong enough to survive in the world economy.

I think that bitcoin will replace dollar because of the features of bitcoin that is better than the dollar and when the people started to recognize bitcoin then they will realize that bitcoin is better and they will just adopt it and the banks and the fiat will lose a lot of users and it will make them go to a closure of their business and bitcoin will become get the victory.
