Bitcoin- in bullish time
I don't think so, we need dollar for our daily needed. To pay what we want. But for me bitcoin is for business porpuse. Your  need to invest to grow you money, and it will become a real money like dollar that you can pay to the store .
I agree to that. Dollar works online and offline and it is suited for our daily need and expenses and that is why it is not a good idea to rely on bitcoin fully because we will experience some troubles if we are going to just rely on bitcoin. Bitcoin will not replace dollar because dollar is already wide spread and it is the universal currency so i don't think that bitcoin has any chance.

Bitcoin certainly won't replace the dollar soon, and it probably never will.  To become a global reserve currency, as the dollar is now, it needs to be widely accepted by (almost) all countries and relatively stable in value, which requires some of way of determining how much it should be worth.  Right now, bitcoin isn't close to having any of these characteristics.  Maybe one day it will--it would be really cool if it did--but it's got a long way to go.  As it is, it's not even recognized by most countries as a currency.

I  don't think so. There are to many old rich people who are no invested in Cryptocurrency, with that reason they will not allow replacing the dollars. Since most of them have powerful friends.
Those that are truly rich are not rich in US dollars, they are rich because they have business, they have properties and gold, so they are going to be unaffected if the US dollar no longer existed, their business will keep on creating stuff and selling it to the public.

It doesnt looks like countries and companies will be able to import and export their products with bitcoin, bitcoin limitation would push too high the current value of bitcoin, 1 satoshi would reach 1 milion dollars, people would import for 1 satoshi and export for 2 satoshi the same products. Dollar has big influence worlwide, and the fact being able to keep printing new money does make it the best model to use nowadays, maybe in the future crypto can replace dollar but it should take several years.

There's no chance for BTC to replace any currency. Perhaps in XX years some countries will switch to digital currency like BTC but they will create their own one with possibility of tracking and no anonymity.

I do not think so. Bitcoin will need to improve a lot if it wants to become a world currency and replace dollar. Right now, The USA has subsidized many countries and almost every countries on the world considering USD as an alternative currency.

Do you think it will be true? Are you positive towards bitcoin's future status?

I think so. We need to inovate some banking system and money system where we need to conserve nature. I think digital currency will have help us with this.

This is interesting! Keen to learn more. Do you have any ideas where I could learn more potential digital currency applications in conserving nature, and perhaps more detail about how banking and money system could be innovate better?
No I don’t think so that Bit coin is going to replace dollar soon as USD is one of the most strongest economy on which economy of most of the under developed and developing countries is dependent. It would take a long time for bit coin to replace dollar. Maybe next 30-40 years ahead or more!

If North Korea hits America then yes, it will be the only stable currency. And so there is little to believe how many years the dollar keeps at the top and that cardinal measures are needed to supersede it.

Nope. I very doubt government will want to relinquish control...

As a sub currency it could gain mainstream use but i think there will be much blood before BTC replace the Dollar.

I agree. I think Bitcoin will never replace dollar. Government wouldn't let go the control of Dollar for the benefit of them of course. Bitcoin will be acceptable in the future as payment but I don't think it will replace Dollar.

It can't. And never can.
You may be right but I think nothing is impossible in this world. You can expect anything to happen in future. The way Bitcoin is earning so much fame in this much of time, I think it is not a big deal to replace dollar. I think if it happens, things won’t remain the same as they are now. You can expect something better then.

As a base/standard of money, no it won't. Never forget that none of the countries have authority over Bitcoin. If a country consider it to replace local currency, I  think it will be a big mess to their economy. Just imagine how erratic the price of bitcoin is.

I do believe that Bitcoin won't replace anything, instead, it could be recognized as a money - with value.

Definitely agree on this one. Transitions like this go slowly. And governments won't be too fond about having zero control on their currencies. So if it would actually replace fiat currency, my guess is that we could easily wait 50 years. But more likely it will complement fiat currency .

Yeah. It will take quite a long time before Bitcoin fully matures and fiat currencies transition into blockchain technology. Right now, Bitcoin is still in its infancy, so it will be hard to say whenever it could compete with current monetary systems.

But one thing for sure, is that Bitcoin is improving into becoming a robust cryptocurrency to handle payments at a large scale. Hopefully, at some point in the future, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will become stronger towards complimenting fiat currencies. Just my opinion Smiley

Even bitcoin gets it price higher and higher it will never replace the dollar. Dolar is very well established and powerful fiat currency supported by the government. It would still be part of the future and because it is being accepted internationally that bitcoin can not.
