This is impossible, the currency is protected by law, all countries can not remove the currency even though the use of bitcoin is massive.

No that's nit possible. Bitcoin is limited in its spending options and it will take lot of time for whole population to understand what bitcoin is. I'm sure USD being traditional currency will not let down itself at any point and cost. It's regulated.
Bitcoin can be used by any nation who choose to adopt it but that would not mean they will forget their own local currency.
USD is one of the strongest correction and as you said it's regulated so the government will protect it against any threat that
would overtake its popularity.
USD is very famous international currency and is ruling the world in many ways. The government will never favor its replacement with such a currency that offers them no control over public. It would be highly tough for the government to put taxes on bitcoins. I agree that bitcoins are not for the specific state of class, any state interested in bitcoins and having high class technology can adopt bitcoins as their currency. with such type of development and adption it is also possible that bitcoin come to take the place of dollar.

Bitcoin has properties and characters equal with money. But quite difficult if dollar replaced by bitcoin. Because dollar capitalization is huge and dollar has spread and owned by many people in various countries.

Nope, I don't think "soon" but I do think after 15 years or so it is a definite possibility. "soon" i guess is a relative term.
Yes agree and I'm not sure bitcoin will replace the dollar in 20 more years, it may take at least 50 years from now. This is because the dollar is the strongest currency of the world.
there is no chance for bitcoin to replace the dollar as the local currency and major currencies in united states but I would rather agree if bitcoin has the possibility to become an international currency in the future later replace the dollar, I think it might happen because the entire world population will start to recognize bitcoin

It can be an international crypto currency, it will be hard for now to replace any currency since people already get used on it. It can really get recognized by many since it is convenient to use.
There is a possibility that it could replace it, but not very soon I presume. Bitcoin will have its biggest challenge indeed - to replace the fiats (not in physical form but in price and value).

Yes people got used to Fiats since it was used for centuries now, and many transactions have been made using this type of payment and exchange.

This is not easy because the dollar is the master of the world economy, almost every country in the world uses dollars for transactions, so I do not believe bitcoin will replace the dollar soon, it may take at least another 100 years.

I don't think so , since if governments replace their currencies with bitcoin or  any other cryptocurrency  it's like saying here you go people you can launder your money as you like , you can run away from paying your taxes , we can't know what you own or what you don't anymore , you are free to buy whatever you want whether is it legal or illegal etc etc ..
And what will happen to the gold supply ? if they maintain btc value with gold , will gold value decrease too when btc goes down ? This is a very complex topic and a lot of variables are unclear .

I don't think Bitcoin will ever replace the dollar or euro. One of the facts is that it's price is very volatile. But I do think that it will become mainstream one day.  Roll Eyes

It has a user base of like 250k people.. It won't be volatile when it has several billion

The challenge is how to get to that level first, and whether it will indeed happen within 15 years.

USD won't be replaced but it may collapse itself.
Bitcoin is just like gold, and gold witnesses a lot of currency collapse.

I don't think that bitcoin will replace dollar. Every country posses different currencies, it can never be replace easily. Maybe, bitcoin will become part of the currency in the future but can never be replace dollar.

No I don't think it can replace dollar never in 15 years and never will. Bitcoin is a crypto currency and using it will require internet connection which I believe not everyone will be capable to operate and learn, besides in a normal transaction of a normal people in the society I don't think they will find it easy using bitcoin to purchase in the market or payment for services though now some accepts it but I don't think all establishment ca adopt the crypto currency world.

Lol I think after a decade or even a decade it will not make bitcoin replace the dollar or any local currency. 1 thing is certain that there will be no government from any country that will let foreign currency invade their country. They will certainly maintain their own local currency including the dollar

I also agree that it will not be "soon" because fiat currency is still the one that will be used by people unless there would be a law that will prohibit people from using the fiat and just use the crypto currency but it's near to impossibility that it would be implemented. My guess is that crypto currency will be use as an investment vehicle whereas the mode of exchange of people would still be the fiat. Besides, there are still so many parts of the world that has no internet connection and for others there is still no electricity so how can they use the cryptocurrency if they can't even access it.

I think the dollar will not be replaced by bitcoin. Need strong legality for bitcoin in order to be acknowledged by the whole country. Dollar is the global currency. And as a benchmark for the currencies of other countries. The dollar is more stable and the security is guaranteed. Different from bitcoin .. only part of the receiving country but still not legal. And bitcoin digital currencies that are more susceptible to viruses or quickly disappear.
