I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential

I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well

But what do you think about it after 100 years ?

I'm not sure because 100 years is old, anything can happen and now a lot of new coins that can replace bitcoin and have a better future.

Regardless of what bitcoin's fiat worth is there will always be enough to go around as 1 bitcoin is divisible many, many decimals/values. For this reason I say yes bitcoin will be around in 100 years. The only question is if it is still profitable for miners but I presume it will be, maybe somebody could clarify this.
I guess so too.

Of course, I think even bitcoin is the money of the future, not just the next 100 years, but it may be a substitute for real money in the world in the future

I am sure that bitcoin is gonna be stable, but after 100 years there might be totally new way of payment, and bitcoin might be considered smth like fait money nowadays.

No one confirm that what will happen in future and OP is asking about 100 years, their is both yes and no answer if all governments come along and state bitcoin as illegal then automatically it will die. So anything can happen in future. Be ready in present and dont think long future plans.

There is no doubt that btc will survive even after 100 years .Now itself  there are lot of teenagers who are active users of bitcoins from that itself we can understand how sharp our generation of youth are and hence they will definitely pass their knowledge about bitcoins to their friends, relatives and to their next generation as they have earned lot of money out of btc .In future there will be different version of bitcoins like bitcoin diamond so on and it will really expensive to buy one btc .May be in future the mining time will also slow down and the transaction charges will decline.

Nobody loves and comfortable to carry a lot of cash with them cause its not safe and heavy too but bitcoin make that evolution to carry a lot of money and its safe too.And obviously day by day people accepted bitcoin and increase its popularity. So i think after 100 years bitcoin exist if world exists.

I think it is possible because as long as there are people using it, believing in its technology and that it can help make their lives better, the Bitcoin is here to stay. Decades maybe, 100 years? yeah possible. Smiley

I don't think so. I think it'll come a better currencies or a new payment methods that replaces Bitcoin. The world will not still satisfied with Bitcoin service for 100 years.

There is a possibility that bitcoin will serve for a longer years as long as many people having transation on it and as long as many people promoted bitcoin then there it is really a big chance for a bitcoin to survive even for 100 years

I am not thinking about BTC for the next 100 years more likely for the next year or two. In 100 years or less, BTC will be probably replaced by some more advanced transaction system
That is true, the 100 years is enough for bitcoin to get replaced by another more advanced cryptocurrency which will be the reason for the cryptocurrency industry to continue growing because if we will have more advanced cryptocurrencies then it means that the progress for solving the issues in the market will be faster and better.

There's a possibility because of the growth crypto currency industry. As long as it's maintaining it's good qualities and services.  If the block chain can make a more better services. More faster transactions. Less delays. Security of each users.

I think the development of bitcoin will improve with the development of the times technology because the digital age is actually the umbrella of digital transactions. The use of digital transactions is only a matter of time.

The only think I am thinking of is in case our communication infrastructure can be broken then we would really have a problem. Even tomorrow we do not know if bitcoin price is still high on the stock market. And do not know whether tomorrow or the next day many people know bitcoin. Now I'm glad I'm joining here. I need to learn more and share with others
