In my own opinion i couldn't say bitcoin will survive 100 years,probably it will take long in the online industry but nobody can predict the exact how many years the bitcoin will stay. Maybe the price will change goes down because surely there is another coin will comes in. But i think everybody here in bitcoin industry wishes that bitcoin will stay more than a hundred years which is good for all bitcoiner.
I think that 100 years is very long and many things that can not be predicted when it's been 100 years, in my opinion bitcoin is difficult to survive for 100 years because there will be better coins than bitcoin.
It is possible that bitcoin will survive 100 years but it is unsure if it still have its value. Since it is impossible to predict the future but making hypotheses that bitcoin is still alive but lower price since there might be new currency that exist that time and also we dont know if internet is still alive. Maybe people might invent something to replace the internet.
As long as the world exists bit coin will exist and that is that. Gradually bitcoin continue to be known to people and spread all over the world. The acceptability to the whole world spread rapidly irrespective of how government fight its existence. Bitcoin has great a lot of job to many people and it will continue to do so.
I think 100 years later, BTC may still exist, but we should already ... gone, ha ha ha
Bitcoin will continue to exist as long as the investor and community accept and invest in it, I think bitcoin exists and becomes the cryptocurrency of the whole world is absolutely possible, I really believe in that. Bitcoin is in the deep discount phase, if you want to invest in bitcoin then you can buy bitcoin at this time because you will not be able to buy bitcoin at such value later.
See the development of bitcoin prices are getting stronger I think bitcoin will last up to 100 years. More and more people are interested in the activities in bitcoin, of course bitcoin will strengthen up to 100 years ahead, hopefully
as long as it is benificial bitcoin will last100 years or more..people keep looking for a greener pasture though i don't think we are still living by that time but generation to generation bitcoin will become more popular because those who knew how profitable bitcoin is will spread the good news to their friends so more and more people wanted to joined in bitcoin
Bitcoin was an online currency. And at the same time the cryptocurrencies will be alive as long as there's an internet and computer. Also as long as there are people that work for it. But the question is, why do people like this have a questions like this ? Do they think they will be alive even 50 years from now ?
I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential

No! Because theres a lot of altcoin that can replace bitcoin so i think if altcoins will becone moregood than bitcoin maybe bitcoin will die but i can say cryptocurrency will grow more in the near future because of the icos and other companies that loves this to transact. I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well

After 100 years? Oh no! no one can tell what happen to it, and i am sure that one of us will die after 100 years.
well if that's the problem I do not really know too, 100 years is not a short time but if 100 years more bitcoin still survive believe the world will change.
Not so sure bitcoin will last that long im guessing if the price will keep rising the bubble will burst n the price will drop. Bitcoin might crash that way but if gets stable I think bitcoin can not only last 100 years but become a real stable currency.

Practice shows that all predictions are erroneous. What would not we think of now, in a hundred years everything will be different.
It seems unlikely because it's too long, bitcoin will persist if demand from the market gets bigger. But is there any guarantee that 100 years later bitcoin still popular and still many users. because now many new coin coins are popping up.
Nothing that we are familiar with will survive 100 years from now. Perhaps a few trees, perhaps, if there will still be trees in 100 years.
yes possible, but at that time bitcoin wont be the king anymore, there will always be something better, someone stronger, but it doesnt mean you go down.
If we look at the bitcoin and ETH increments continue to thin, it seems difficult to make bitcoin continue to be number 1 moreover can last up to 100 years from now.
A hundred years is a long period of time. If BTC is still around I feel like it will be because some museum is running nodes to keep it alive. Also, if the corporations try to charge us for stuff with a zero marginal cost, we'll destroy them, same with the government.
