Elon Musk announcement of Dogecoin acceptance wont stop price drops, but people will create a huge news hype around it. Many will understand it incorrectly and read it like Tesla is accepting Dogecoin as a payment for everything. Only after some time they will understand that Dogecoins are accepted only for merch and will strongly unhappy and angry. This might negatively effect on the price. While they must be angry on themselves. Current Elon movement will work both positively and negatively (in future), meaning no change on prices.

Why do you all like making it seem like ELON Musk is the one that controls the market now? Seriously this kind of mindset is very bad when people start having the mindset like this – putting one person on control of an entire market due to their market, and making it seem like he’s the one that decides what is going to happen in the market at all times.

This will make him look like the final say in the market and he would be able to put things in favour of himself at all times, anytime he wants the market to go up he would easily do that and benefit from it, after that he would dump it. This is another reason why I don’t like Dogecoin, because of how easily it can be manipulated.

So this was probably the reason why the price of dogecoin was rising a little while all the other coins were dumping a few days ago. An announcement of one of the most famous and influential people in the world simply still has some impact. Dogecoin is only accepted for merch payments though, so the news are not that big. Tesla was already accepting BTC as payments for their cars before but then they took back this decision because of environmental reasons.

I do not mind if Tesla starts accepting Doge but I am curious what will happen to Dogecoin because the last time Elon said that, it made Dogecoin increase sharply but then the price drops again.
Besides that, I am curious if Elon is serious about accepting Doge for Tesla because Elon itself is hard to trust after what he did to crypto.
But if he can still get committed to what he said, maybe that can bring trust from their customers and help Dogecoin increase for more.
I am not expecting anything from what Elon did but I am only concerned with the market.

Actually, to be fair to Doge, it has gained a certain level of popularity even before Elon Musk came into the picture. Even if Doge was created as a meme coin right from the start, it has actually reached the top 10. This was way before Elon Musk took a role in its market. Before Elon was shilling for Doge, and even if Doge is stagnant in its development, it has a use case or two which made it thrive for a longer time. Doge was great for tipping, for gambling purposes, etc. It never died after many years of crypto market competition.

If that's the case, expect another hype again on Dogecoin. Other services might follow it because of Elon's reputation. Still curious here why Elon involves himself in a meme coin. Who started it? Who introduced it to him? Is it a self-decision or do all of his board members agree? What characteristics of Doge do they see as good triggering to start a hype about it?

We just don't know if that will maintain in a long run. They accept BTC before but decided to stop it eventually. BTC and DOGE have a large and vast distance in terms of everything but TESLA still decided to stop bitcoin payments.
