There is a possibility that they are using bitcoin, since I also heard some news that some criminals use bitcoin to make their illegal transactions. They are using to hide their true identity because we can also fake our identity online which I think criminals will possibly do it.
I think they buy weapons on deep web and YES they do use bitcoin if they need to buy it. We know bitcoin transactions are anonymous and ISIS members need this feature to buy some things to accomplish their goal.
Who told you that they are purchasing weapons from the dark markets? Till now there has been zero evidence for this claim. They have much easier options. They get most of their arms from the weapons dealers in Turkey. And they make the payments either in hard cash (US Dollar, Iraqi Dinar, Turkish Lira, or Syrian Pound), or as barter to crude oil.

it could be, bitcoin is growing very rapidly, many people already know about bitcoin, it is possible that ISIS uses bitcoin as well, at least one of their members who know and use bitcoin.
But ISIS doesn't need Bitcoin. After all, they are supported by the US dollar that the US Government gives them.
I used to visit the deepweb and see bitcoin used a lot, of course the terrorists would use it, like to buy weapons or get donations.
Why not ? Bitcoin were designed for security reasons. Because of its features, It became the best friend for criminals and terrorists

probably because ISIS is a group that is always hidden in its existence and because bitcoin is a means of exchange that anyone can use and can be said "anonymous" is easy for the ISIS group to use a transaction exchange tool using bitcoin

There is a chance that ISIS might be using bitcoin as well. This is for the reason that when they transact using money it’s very easy to trace unlike bitcoin. Same with the North Korea’s leader, he too also uses bitcoins.
When you are supported by the U.S. like ISIS is, why would you want to mess around with Bitcoin? Simply use the American Dollar for anything you want. After all, that's how the U.S. pays you. Then, if Bitcoin turns out to be something big in the future, that will be the time to move into it.
There's a chance/possibility that they're using bitcoin, after all BTC is one of the good way to increase your funds, sell when it pumps, buy when it dumps, I but I think it's not necessary, correct me if I'm wrong but, we all know that rich people are the one who are behind this groups, funding them to create either chaos, war or terrorism.

It is a distict possibility that ISIS might be using bitcoin as a way to increase their funding or to transfer funds ehih moght not be otherwise easily detected by intelligience agencies that try to crack them down. This is actually something that we should look forward to.
