In my own opinion, yes you are right and it was not the right time to sell your coins today because the prices today is still low and highly prefer to wait for the price to go back at $20k dollars before selling my coins again.

Yeah yeah i think so too. Bitcoin price under downtrend so long time, so it must be a long time uptrend. At least 1 more month, so wait unti yours balance grow much before selling.
as most of the ppl here're saying, it's all about fluctuations on the market and how volatile the crypto is. Totally depends on u dude, you sign in on an exchange service like Coinmarketcap or Bitwinex, buy a coin and then just wait until someone else buys it from you at twice the price or you wait till it goes to the moon n then you're a fat cat

I think that matters and depends with time. If you have bitcoins from a long time and prices are so much high and you are getting more than expectations, then go for selling. Depends on how much you have invested and how much profit you will be making when you cash out. Also depends on the amount you wish to risk. Did you have any threshold level
In my own opinion it depends on you on how much profit you want but in my own I think this is not the right time to sell bitcoin because bitcoin price is increasing now so if you want more profit you can buy more bitcoin and hold it. Waiting is the key to earn more profit if you don't wait you'll not earn profit.
In my own idea, this is not the right time to sell bitcoins in my opinion. The market is low and this is time to buy more bitcoins and hold for the long term
Besides buying of more Bitcoin we have many investors or people who have it with a cost price of low amount and now as we have seen that the price has increased which will facilitate or benefit those people with huge profit so they are safe to sell for profit. However a productive trader will think to buy more at this stage for he has to make a large collection to sell on high price in a market of price higher than the current price for higher profit. 
If Bitcoin's current price satisfies you, I think you can sell it. But it does not satisfy me. Because It come to much higher prices and I think that it will come again. And I will wait until then.

No one will tell you when to sell your bitcoin if you are expecting that. It is left for you to know when you sell yours depending on your buying time. So if you are already in gain, i will suggest that you sell and take out some profits and at the same time, HODL some if it pleases you. No one knows if the price of bitcoin whether it will be going up or going down. Some says it' heading to 50k but we are still observing.

I think bitcoin has continued its down cycle so at this point you should trade short term and should keep the bitcoin. $ 7900 mark is a very strong resistance, if this landmark is broken I think you should sell bitcoin. It's your own decision if you don't have any patience about bitcoin price you always be lose your chance to have a good earnings or profit. Price of bitcoin now is going higher and it's up to you if you sell it now before you decide think 10x so you will not regret later. 
It was perfectly good question when this thread was created. Today we know the answer on that question. Now, will it happen again? I think it will and all those who sold their coins then, made a great move. They could buy on low price again and wait for big growth in the near future.
any case today is not the right time to sell Bitcoin. I will definitely expect the time when Bitcoin will return to itself at least the prices of 2017.

Well, if you are talking about the "time" factor, then I think that you should change your mindset. Honestly, in this market, it's not more about the time that should be your indicator when selling off your coins for profit; the best type of indicator is the profit itself. People buy coins in different times and rates, therefore, it would depend on your profit target whether it's a good time to sell or not. Because, one coin may be in stock for months without it gaining too much increase. If you feel that your Bitcoin holding had gained a substantial value, then it might be the best time to sell it.
