adoption will take a lot of time, it doesnt happen over a few years, a decade will probably when its been decided. We are indeed in the digital age, every information can be explored through internet, it can expand in every part of the world. even information can be found in the internet that will reach the people, once they understand the true purpose of it, they wont every ignore it, nor judge it anymore.

I think not, that is if we are talking about the whole population of the world. Most who knows about Bitcoin are either computer geeks, active on social medias such as twitter, fb, telegram, etc, and those who are on the fintech area. Those who are in the rural area and not into trends possibly have not heard Bitcoin.

Simply hearing and reading about bitcoin is truly possible since bitcoin is becoming popular now. It can be seen now on social media and television where the majority of people now spend most of their time with it. They will just have an idea of what bitcoin is but still, we are not sure if they will be convinced to adopt it.

As the popularity of bitcoin is rising, the number of cases that it is being used in illegal activities is also increasing. That is one of the major cause why lots of people are still doubtful about investing in it.

So in ten years and bitcoin will continue to have a good reputation, prove its worth and importance in people's lives, then the majority of the world's population may have bitcoin adoption.

I'm not sure about it. I think that still many people haven't heard of Bitcoin and some of those who have don't actually know anything about it. Promotion of Bitcoin isn't so good and there is not enough education either.
I know that many bitcoiners think Bitcoin is something that is normal for everyone but outside Bitcoin community people really don't know much about it, that is the fact.

Sometimes BTC is show in open TV channels, but most times is to tell about a scam, and this is no good, people think that is a pyramid scam like anothers we had

I work with a lot of people at work and I speak to a lot of them and the majority of them have never heard about Bitcoin. I would say almost 80% or more of them have never heard of it before. This is in a first world country, so imagine what the percentage would be in a third world country where there are little access to the media and/or the Internet. Roll Eyes

I also have people who have heard of it before and they never invested before, but some of them come back later and something peek their interest again and they decide to buy a little to experiment with it. So the market for bitcoins is far from being saturated. Grin

If it's only about heard or read, then it's possible. But I'm still in doubt with majority of the people cause we never know if bitcoin will still remain after ten years. People may heard or have read about bitcoin, and that's it. They just heard/read it but they doesn't really know what it is or what does it can do.
As time goes by, bitcoin is increasing its popularity but I cannot say that majority of the people (around the world) would be familiarized about bitcoin only after 10 years since it lacks support and promotion from the governments.

That is very possible. Bitcoin has already passed its first ten years and we can see and amazed at how much it changed, not just in terms of price, but also in terms of popularity and reputation. If you add another ten years of it, people's acceptance and familiarity with Bitcoin will not only double but will be growing exponentially. The first ten years was more difficult to survive than the second ten years because it was starting from zero or from nothing at all. It started with a handful of people and now we are a community of millions. That's why the second decade is a smoother ride than the first.

no, i don't think "majority" of people have heard about bitcoin. there is certainly a lot of people who have seen the name bitcoin somewhere in passing or in the news but to know what it is, is another story. i guess the percentage is high but not majority yet. and from those who have heard the name and know what it is, there still is a much smaller percentage who have bothered looking into it and even a smaller percentage who have adopted bitcoin which is why it is considered lower than 1% still after 10 years.

I'd say something like 70 percent of the world has heard about bitcoin, and 10 percent of the world is invested, or has invested in the currency previously. There's actually been a lot of media attention that bitcoin has gathered, and there's a lot of people interested in it nowadays.

That's true - there's been media attention, but a lot of it has been negative and flawed in it, with a lot of people under the impression that the currency is only used for illegal activities now. At least media is more accurate nowadays.

People have seen massive adoption from videos, news, and articles, but they still not trying to invest in bitcoin or another coin. They don't think that it will works for them because they never tried. But there will be some people who are willing to invest in cryptocurrency, and they still trying to invest with worry. They are worried because of the volatility in bitcoin that will always happen. But that will not stop them from investing in bitcoin because soon, they will know that investing in bitcoin will give them a profit in the future.

Yes many of people have heard about bitcoin but I don't think that the majority of the population have heard it. Yes oj the developed countries for sure the majority of their have heard it obviously because their country is developed so the people have accessed on the different events that happened in the world, but I don't think it is the same on developing countries like on us. Only a fraction of the people of my country know it and again obviously because of the incapability to know it.

based from my experience from people around my circle, majority heard about bitcoin, but the context of bitcoin isn't present to their idea what bitcoin is. Few knows it is a good currency but allot of my colleague think that bitcoin is illegal, due to the concept they heard from others. What I am doing is continuously supporting bitcoin to show them what bitcoin is capable of, and is safe and secured.

ou should hang out with more intelligent people instead of idiots. They will only serve to bring you down. Most people have already heard of bitcoin where I live. They have ads and stuff and the google search engine has bitcoin as a top search in my country as well. Many people show interest and want to know more but most are afraid and intimidated.

I believe that 19 years from now Bitcoin will be more popular and be acknowledge by many people around the world. With how the internet being popular it will also carry Bitcoin as social media sites and streaming sites gives some hints and help, adding more people to learned more about Bitcoin. I think it depends on the country and region. In my circle less than 20-30% of people have heard about cryptocurrency. If it doesn't affect their lives, incomes, jobs, then it doesn't important, so they just ignore it.

I think after ten years, everyone in developed and developing countries will be more familiar with bitcoin. I think so because now many large companies have adopted bitcoin and its technology. Even for now some of my friends (who don't know bitcoin at all), started to come to me and ask about what bitcoin is.
