I am sure that one day all private information is going to be saved uner one private number. Everything: the ID, wallet, phone, insurance end ect. Maybe in 50 years or early this future will became our present.

Thinking on the higher plane of existence.
Hi guys and girls.
What do you think will they ever make BTC connected with our mobile numbers (so we could pay with it)?  Cool
In my country, this have been implimented but in an indirect manner. They use mobile numbers to send the access code if ever you want to access your wallet through the internet. In this way, you are sure that you are the only one who can access your wallet.

Bitcoin is great for connecting to mobile devices
It will be convenient because everyone has a smartphone in their hands
It will help us pay goods by bitcoin
However, another problem is that it's not safe, imagine when you lose your phone, all of your bitcoin will lose.

What LOL? But you don't have to have your mobile number connected to your wallet to spend it via mobile? We've had mobile wallets for more than a few years now. What you said makes zero sense.

Same as if you lose your computer, or your hardware wallet, or your paper wallet, or any other wallet. That's what the private keys are for. How the heck did you reach Full Member without knowing that. Huh

I think it is already connected. You can topup your mobile number with bitcoin using top-up services like bitrefill and xapo like online wallets ask for sms verfication before logging into your bitcoin wallet. Many other online wallets are using your mobile number as your bitcoin account to receive bitcoin.

While there are already web wallets linked to your mobile number, if Bitcoin itself gets linked to a mobile number then you'd pretty much have Paypal. Bitcoin is advertised to be pseudonymous and unreversible. If you link a number your identity would be then linked to the address killing pseudonymity and it would also be possible for anyone with access to your phone number (remember the phone company and the government probably can, along with anybody who steals your phone) could spend your BTC without a private key.

Long story short: It wouldn't go well. If you really want this then just use a web wallet that already supports it.

Why will you need a mobile number for if you can send right away your Bitcoin Wallet Address? I think what you are asking os totally unnecessary because connecting it to a mobile number will be a useless thing to do necause it won't have any function. Not unless it is a debit card in whoch you won't need an internet access for. Also assuming it for the future, I think that us being a technical world would have easier access with Bitcoin directly.

It is going to be a welcome development if connecting BTC with mobile phone is going to work out, personally my blockchain wallet is linked with my mobile phone whenever I received bitcoin in my block chain wallet an SMS alert will be received by me, It is noted that BTC is a technology based cryptocurrency which is possible to be linked to a mobile phone.

Associating bitcoin wallet with your mobile is a big no no no! It's not safe cause some hackers can hack it. Or for example you lost your phone with your sim in it, then someone found your phone, it is possible that all your btcs can be stolen from you by the person who found your mobile device, dude. Dont dream for it to happen.

I hope not. I'm changing my phone number every few weeks at the moment. I have countless enemies who must be avoided.

Considering all the tales we hear about how easy it is to game mobile phone companies to reroute sims, it's not something I'm going to be entrusting any money to.
Correct, adding phone numbers to it will leave a lot of us vulnerable and makes us potential victims of the bad guys. I don't want to believe the OP didn't consider the implications of this action should it be implemented somehow.

DId you ever thought that you just buried person who is maybe alive :O And this idea will make us fat belive me. Tongue

Like it or not, THAT Satoshi is dead.
No matter how he tries to come back into the spotlight , he will never be the same Satoshi. There will always be a shadow of doubt about him and he has no role right now.
Nobody wants a crypto Draghi.

And I really don't want to get fat. I like my weight right now, slim and healthy.
A lot of bitcoiners are staring to abandon all the reasons why BTC was born just to get fat. Is that important for you to get rich and your wealth to be at the disposal of a mobile operator?

I am sure in the future bitcoin can be integrated with various services that exist in the world today. Included with the integrating mobile number, in the sense that one day later the mobile number can have the identification of the registered wallet. This is everyone's hope for more centralized and secure services.

Honestly, I feel like I just got struck with a hammer ...Everyone's hope for what?HuhHuh

CENTRALIZATION?

Are you out of your fword mind?
Are you people really that bent on destroying BTC with your greed?

I don't think that it will be necessary to connect a wallet for your bitcoin with a phone number.
From a technical point of view I think that is even impossible.
What I can imagine, and what is already in place at many exchanges, is that you have to ID yourself when you want to exchange bitcoin into fiat.
And that includes a phone number.

For the traditional wallet  of course it is impossible.
But it seems like people are happy with their precious BTC being held by wanna be banks.

Well maybe your phone numbers maybe added to the walkers public Key or something like that else I likewise don't see the practicability of attaching phone numbers to our bitcoins.

"Connection" could only and should only be an option, for example for some of the addresses in a wallet.

Well in my personal opinion, i think that they won't just connect to our mobile numbers, but i think that they will create an Application that will allow us to pay for our electricity for example, also fuel, gov. taxes and so on. But before developers will be able to do that, they first have to get access and get partnered with companies to get allowed to use bitcoins as a wallet, instead of national Currency (USD,GEL,EUR...)

Hi guys and girls.
What do you think will they ever make BTC connected with our mobile numbers (so we could pay with it)?  Cool

This idea is absurd as bitcoin will never be bitcoin anymore. We knew bitcoin became popular because of being anonymous and why they had to connect it with mobile number? People can easily track you and will know you from the telecoms company if someone wants to know who's this person that made millions or thousands of dollars sending to other people.
It is not absurd lets call it upgrade, like we did with symbian phones (and yes they made life easier but i dont approve them talking about smartphones but they are part of our everyday lifes). And for people tracking well we went thru that theme or post why do you think smartphones are made no need to go in details.
