Well since there aren't many good project in the market I would say bounty are pretty low, only when there is good quality project should we have good bounty, the market situation has not been very friendly to new project, investors have been very picky as well, so bounty campaigns are very limited this day's.

If you look around, you will still find a lot of people who are still into bounty, which means that it is still very much alive. The major issue is that, bounty hunters are faced with lots of challenges, most especially with the payment of bounty rewards. Projects teams now find it hard to pay these days. Nah, even before in 2017 ICO was slowly dying so I don't think the era of ICO will still have a chance to start over again. Scam did killed them and the future investors and bounty hunters were slowly dissolving. So nowadays you can barely find a legitimate bounty project but some of them can't stand too long due to the circumstances that made them to stop. But I am sure it will resurge once bitcoin reaches a new ATH or altcoins are revived. New markets usually pop up with the rise of price. So the service of bounty hunters will be needed again.
bounty campaigns still exist and even existing projects sometimes making very good rewards. just here you need to very clearly choose for yourself a project in which you want to take part
I think it's the end of bounties era as users don't trust bounties anymore due to the scam projects and greedy developers who don't have the intention of rewarding users for their efforts but rather just wants to use them as a tool of marketing. In order to gain trust, we need some good projects which does not scam investor's and provide rewards for hunters and list the project in good exchange.
Unfortunately not all good projects hold a bounty campaign to expand their marketing network and they rely on the strength of the project itself to shape it. We should start to stop comparing, however, the bounty can still provide benefits even though the opportunities are not as big and as much as the bounty campaign around 2017. if we are able to adapt to unfavourable circumstances, then we will still exist, requiring more effort to get a really good project, but there are some keys that you can apply to avoid being disappointed because you are involved in fake bounties or drama-filled bounties: choose BM that really has a good reputation, choose weekly or daily payment, choose who pays with BTC / eth / other strong coins, choose the projects that are realistic and working products, finally try to join bounties that have been listed in the market. 
I also think that bounty is the best marketing plan that exists at the moment. If it didn't work properly and if it didn't make a profit, no one would have participated in the bounty long ago. Therefore, I believe that this direction is still promising.
You are right! If the bounty is not profitable then why bounty hunter keeps participating? I noticed some BTC paying signature participants are spreading that bounty is dead, over. If there is no BTC paying campaign, what will they do? They will come again in typical bounties. Because the bounty program is the best marketing plan for a crypto project!

Bounty and airdrops are one of the most potent method of advert as far as blockchain technology is concerned and also cost effective for the projects involved. Although ICOs are no longer promising as before, already established projects that requires more exposure also take the direction of organising bounties for the much needed awareness. Whether it be for ICO marketing or an already established project, I believe bounties will remain one of the most effective ways of publicity and will therefore remain.

Yes, you are right. The bounty program is not over yet! Rather this year crypto market had several good bounties! Who keeps saying bounty is over, just ignore them! This year, there were some new type bounties like Vid Camera, Mitx, Stegeos and so on. So, a bounty marketing system can be changed but it will not over! In crypto, the bounty is the best promotion!

IF there is no ICO then no more bounties related to new crypto projects but other bounties may continue but it may not be capable of accepting all the existing hunters so there will be more competition for the opens spots.Still hunters hoping that things will change but I don't find any reason for bounties to become profitable as in 2017. One thing I get to understand is that the market is affecting everything and this includes the bounty program too. Also with the way projects now reduce rewards also affects the program making it look like its dead

If we see, there are indeed many ICO projects that fail to reach the target and succeed, most of them fail and maybe only some of them can continue the project they brought. No, the bounty program is not over yet and it will stay till the end of crypto! But day by day bounty program will have a new system where earning a good value will be too hard! ICO market is dead, I have no confusion about it. But bounty will remain for the post-ICO projects and for the IEO market. There have many projects who did not have ICO, IEO but still, they keep coming in the crypto market with their own fund so, they will have bounty too. For example, recently I have seen Hydax exchange bounty, who did not have a sale, but yet they have a very good bounty campaign!
