Hi guys ,
Do you think the whales are manipulating the markets ?? Has any one noticed that the current bull run that has been on for the last few weeks comes to a halt every time it reaches the 10 k mark and slides down . My theory is that whales sell at 10k and then create fud so market slides down only to buy back and pump . What do you think ?
Well they can manipulate them market and they can do anything to make more profits but if they sell and create this FUD and no one succumbs and sell then its all of no effect.

I've been keeping my faith for a long time. Marketcap volume is very small compared to the real market, so it shouldn't be too hard for whales to manipulate the market. When market volume rises to trillion dollars in a few years, manipulation can eliminate.

yes i believe that since last year when the price was jumping rapidly they already manipulate it and the whales will always manipulating the price for their own advantages because the price will never so fluctuate if there is no manipulating price and they utilize some news to makes decission to dump or to pump

Yes, having a large capital can influence the market. You can create a pump and dump for your own purposes

While i think that there is a high probability of whales manipulating the market, because (1) they have the power to do so and (2) it makes them even richer, i don't think each small pump or dump is related to them.

I can't imagine those 'whales' do have nothing better to do than manipulating the market 24/7.
There may be coordinated pumps or dump (which can be achieved with a relatively small amount of money in this market), but not every price movement is because of whales.
Shitty news, FUD, trust does play a big role too.
What if the shitty news, fud, and trust are materials of the whales? Seems like this is part of the best way to control the market, isn't?

From my perspective i think whales always wants to manipulating the market. Whales always wants to control the crypto market. When the price increase they manipulate the market and decrease the coin price.

I also noticed the same thing actually. I think whales are responsible for this. When the price is low, they buy a huge amount that other people hardly get chance to buy. This actually helps in lowering the price. The fuds are also responsible for the price drop.

There's a saying. "In the Wall Street, the bear makes money, the bull makes money, and the pigs get slaughtered." Well, you only lose money if you panic sell below your purchase price and exit. This might sound like a conspiracy story, but it's true that even those in the highest cadre in politics are trying every dirty trick in the books in order to gain from the volatility of cryptos. Remember that time when South Koreans were investigated for insider trading? Yep. So don't feed the whales. If you believe in crypto, which I'm sure you do, otherwise why the fuck would you be here, then hold. Cryptos have always had these "crashes" and every time it managed to climb past its previous ATH. Not by 10 % or 20 %,but 100% and 200%. Get some discipline nd train your stomach till it becomes as though as a Nokia phone.

For me I don't really think they have a lot to do with it. Though the possibility of whales affecting the cryptocurrency market is possible but it is also a risk on their part to lose their investments. Not unless if they will all group together to completely dominate the rise and fall of the market for digital coins.

Yes, I do really believe that these "whales" have the power to manipulate and play the market. The moment that you realize that they became "whales" in the cryto world just means that they are a big part of the price in the market. They can just make a certain market pump or dumb in anytime they want. I believe that they manipulate the market price for their own good and for their own profit and as ordinary traders, we just can't do nothing about these ruling whales in this cruel crypto world.
Actually, that was also in my mind that they have the power to play the market and manipulate cryptocurrency because they have a lot a money to do on this. That's the reason richer is most get rich because they have a lot of money in they playing of cryptocurrency, they also know when it is dump so they can buy as what they want to earn a profit on this.

Yes I think the whales are manipulating the market because they have the money to manipulate the market and they get something out of it too. But I do hope they won’t manipulate when these cryptocurrencies would then be legalized in the future.

That has a lot of logic. We must remember that as well as the great discoveries, this market was born from an idea, once materialized and successful, the big businessmen have had to adapt and surely they are the big whales that can make the market rise and get off when they want.

Now, what do we do with this system?

Whales don't always buy coins the traditional way through exchanges they can use Over the Counter Trading or Dark pools. This way they can buy vast amounts of a coin (if available) without it being noticed by the public eye. If you are a potential Whale you don't want the general public to notice your very large buy order all at one time. This would send signals to others that its getting ready to be manipulated. The great whale of 2014 caused an event where a massive liquidation of bitcoin where sold at 300 dollars a piece. Which was a supply of 30,000 bitcoins totaling 9 million dollars. People assumed this was going to crash the entire crypto market at the time, but to many people's surprise the buyers ripped right through the sell orders and the coin rose to $375 dollars.

I found an interesting article here:

I personally think that there are some giant investors or what we call "Whales" are partly manipulating the market. Cryptocurrency market is highly volatile and could be manipulated with large sum of capitals. Whales have the man power, money, and influences to use for the manipulation of a market. Whales are a friend of medias which is why I stop listening to some fakes news around the internet because I know that those medias are always bias. Whales also are in a group that helps each other. So I think there's no doubt that they are manipulating or moving the market sometimes.

Omicron is another FUD
that's the reality, why before the world cup starts Bitcoin and Altcoin prices down because Whales will do "Pump" at the World Cup is running or ended...because based on the news I read, Russia opened itself to receive cryptocurrency as payment in some public services when the World Cup was held.

I believe that's true to some extent. If you possess a substantial amount of some crypto you can indeed manipulate the market. However, it will most likely be only a temporary effect.
