I have never trusted a politicians long before I was eligible of voting and it has not changed now.

This is a very good call.
I've read somewhere, possibly exactly here, at some point: a politician has one main goal, and that's to be (re)elected. Nothing else really matters.

And on the main topic, this being said, sadly I expect Trump promises being broken. Afaik most of the things he has promised on relation with Bitcoin are not within his powers.

At start of the campaign, Trump has given Bitcoin the opportunity for advertising. But then the bitcoiners jumped all in for him  - although imho there was no good choice between those 2 old men - and now, with one of the old men replaced by somebody with slightly better chances, we are between one man who will probably not help bitcoin because of politics and one woman who may hate bitcoiners because of not supporting her. Great  Roll Eyes

So right now I see an even worse status than "just" being deceived by Trump.

So anyway, I applied as a merit source :)
I have never trusted a politicians long before I was eligible of voting and it has not changed now.

I have seen the trend that politicians undertake, trying to use a social issue and roping its sufferers into their arms appearing like a long awaited messiah. These are confidence tricks and should be never be accepted. Just see how quickly they launch their own agenda of why they this or that and then see.

If they do anything good for crypto, then it is always welcome, but what their agenda is, we are not going to understand till we are too late.

We don't need to trust him or any other politician because none of them are trustworthy. But if we don't vote for Trump, will we vote for Biden or Harris? A government that is repressive and tries to stop our progress by inciting the SEC creates a lot of trouble for us...meanwhile, who knows what will happen if Trump is elected? It's still a question mark, but that means we still have a chance, albeit a very slim one.

He is leveraging cryptocurrency for his own benefit and we are doing it for our own benefit as well. This was simply a trade-off, even though we weren't in a proactive position it was still worth the risk.

In my opinion, Trump is just taking advantage of the Bitcoin community to get the most votes, after he is elected, who knows what will happen, because of the many candidates who will definitely give sweet promises, after that they will try to amnesia with their promises.
but hopefully Trump doesn't do that

Now, there goes his eldest son going on with some crypto business too. I guess that we see it coming that anything that's with Trump's popularity and this is almost a win to him, you decide whether he's bluffing or not.

He could be putting his money where his mouth his or this is just a pure marketing ploy for him to get voted.

You'll never know but we're matured enough to understand what's obvious and not and with these politics issue.

If Trump is just bluffing?
You never can really tell. I mean, this guy has been at the apex of this leadership before hand, didn’t disapprove with the concept of cryptocurrency and yet again, didn’t give much attention to how the agencies handled it at the time.
For all we can say now, it’s a time to get even with citizens, win their minds in order to win the polls. It could be all Trump is doing now but. Be sure to get some commitment from him. His sure not to come to terms with every one of his statement as it concerns Bitcoin but, would stay true to a lot.

Do you even have to ask? The answer is too obvious because Trump didn't come out of nowhere. He isn't just some politician who started yesterday. He used to be POTUS for 4 long years and in all those years he didn't do anything. So why should it be different now?

Besides, we've already discussed how it is not possible to pay the ridiculously ginormous US national debt that is $35 trillion with bitcoin that is not owned by US and the entire market size is $1 trillion. In other words even if the US regime owned the entire bitcoins in existence and sold it while assuming the impossible thing that the said sale won't change the price, they'd still only be able to earn a trillion and be left $34 trillion short.

That is not even to mention they are currently printing a trillion dollar every 100 days! So in 100 days we would be back where we started.
The problem isn't even the debt, the problem is the massive gape which is the budget deficit and the ever increasing regime's costs as they continue starting wars around the globe so that the arms dealers that control America can make more money!

So the answer is yes. He is bluffing but no most of the Bitcoin Community don't believe this convicted felon, even though we see a small minority advertising him which I still believe even those don't believe him. They just pretend to because they want to advertise him.

Who would believe what these politicians say? They only move according to what they want to achieve - no one really cares about Bitcoin - and what he said about paying off debt with crypto is just empty talk. But at least what Trump has said so far can more or less give a little picture of his policy towards Bitcoin if he becomes president in the future. Maybe he will not fulfill all his political promises towards Bitcoin, but at least 1 or more of his policies are pro Bitcoin and maybe that will make Bitcoin's "footing" in the US market more stable and that could affect the value of Bitcoin in the future.
I can't say in advance if what Trump is actually doing, if he's really sincere about his intention with Bitcoin or everything is just part of the play. We all know how politicians can be very deceiving in order to satisfy their own, personal interests. And until he's still not sitting in his presidential position, I will always doubt all his words for bitcoin. I know majority are also thinking this way.

As a politician to regain his power, he might bluff which is understood. What I cannot swallow he is planning to use Bitcoin as a way to reduce the debt. Is not what Bitcoin was meant to do to counter USD and create a world free of it. It is not going to happen and we will see Bitcoin being used to fed the USD debt which all pf you would endorse till today. They have already got those Bitcoin with ways that I think will be an end tp BTC.
I think he also wants to get support from people who are into cryptocurrency especially those who also mines bitcoin and even his son announced running a crypto sooner or later which in my opinion would increase donald trump's supporters. I would say that this could be his strategy to win the election.

The upcoming US election has been the greatest thriller movie for me as I have followed it since this year. The chance of Trump becoming the next President is very high after Biden drops out of the race. Meanwhile, the Bitcoin community has extended its support to Trump and invited him to the Bitcoin conference in 2024. He had assured the community at his speech that he would and I quote below

Quote

Yesterday in an interview he gave a new statement which I am quoting below.

Quote
"Who knows? Maybe we'll pay off our 35 trillion dollars, hand them a little crypto check, right?" Trump suggested to Fox Business' Maria Bartiromo in an interview. "We'll hand them a little bitcoin and wipe out our $35 trillion."

Source

What do you think is he bluffing with the statement above or is he deceiving the community to gain vote and become the next President of the US?

I think he is definitely being strategic with his new stance on Bitcoin and that perhaps it’s a political strategy but when Trump makes claims and I mean big league claims he usually follows through with them.

Bluffing? Trump is a convicted criminal who has been indicted on 88 criminal counts and thus far convicted by a jury of his peers on 34 of them. There is almost no doubt at this point that Trump will spend the rest of his life in prison if he does not win the presidency.

All that said, while Trump has lied all of his life about absolutely everything to everybody around him including his own family and his many wives and porn star girlfriends, it would appear that he is now basically senile, as this recent interview on Fox News last week demonstrates:

"Google, nobody called from Google. One of the things like doing a show like yours, your show, you know, you see it on Fox, but when you really see it is all over the place, they take clips of your show that you're doing right now with me and if I do a good job, they're gonna vote for me, they're gonna vote for me because it's not just on Fox, it's on Fox is a smaller part of it. You're on all over this, those little beautiful cell phones you're on, you're all over the place. You have a product, you have a great product. You have a great brand. So you have to get out, you have to get out, you have to do things like your show and other shows and Google has been very bad. They've been very irresponsible and I have a feeling that Google is gonna be close to shut down".

So can a senile old man still figure out how to "bluff"? Trump certainly can't, but the people around him (many of whom have criminal records of their own) obviously still know how to grift and the money Trump can generate with a few vague promises to billionaire Bitcoin whales is gigantic.

We cannot really tell right now if he is bluffing or just saying things to win the hearts of the electorates just to get votes. But with the way the bitcoin community has thrown their support for Trump, it will only be fair on his part to at least keep to his campaign promises. With the way people expect alot from him, I am convinced that he might try to do the right thing just to be on the good books of the people. Trump is a politician and we cannot be 100% certain of his intentions untill after the elections then we can actually be sure. Just like we wish for every election season, let the best candidate win.

I saw this thread Democrats launch 'Crypto for Harris' campaign to counter Trump’s industry appeal. It shows that the presidential candidate of the democrats Harris Kamala is also stepping up her campaign to please the crypto community. She has included people who have crypto experience in her team to woo voters from the crypto community. So we might start seeing pro-crypto promises from the democrats. Bitcoin had become a major campaign topic  Angry.
If there is anyone to blame, it is Kalama Harris because there were not using bitcoin as their blueprint or manifestos at the initial time but when they saw that Trump is making waves with the inclusion of bitcoin in his campaign then they inculcated bitcoin in their campaign speech so I see the speech as a mere propaganda and hypocrisy to bitcoin. Trump starts his campaign speech with bitcoin and that indicates that he has bitcoin in his mind, so if he make bitcoin legal in US, it will help their economy and the community has well. I am not campaigning for Trump but I am saying this base on prediction. And the prediction comes base on the actions and activities of Trump. Though US has nothing to do with bitcoin control but the activities of the government towards the project will help the project grow. It is the duty for the government to create enabling environment for the citizens to do business and investment so if the policies of government is bad then it affects many people. Though politicians words are not trusted.

For now we can't say anything about Trump for his support of bitcoin through the election campaign because there is one for politicians that mostly the third world countries, what they preach in the election campaign is different from the things they do in the administrative work. Their blueprint/manifestos are different. But opposite is the case with the advance countries. So all hope are not lost with Trump. There is hope for him to support bitcoin aftermath of the USA election. Because has been using bitcoin at the front banner of his campaign train.

Trump cannot be hundred percent trusted by his political words for now. Especially now that it's evident that he's gathering all his energies and strategies to gain the support of the people across all boards. It's pretty obvious that he also needs the support of the bitcoin community in the USA. Some reports have suggested that over 8% of the population of USA citizens form the bitcoin community consisting of over 27 million people in numbers. If this is an estimate to go by, then any politician who's looking towards harvesting such numbers is looking good enough.

This is also to mention that the bitcoin community in the USA is an important demographics and the population of Bitcoin users in the USA have continued to see more increase in its numbers over the years. This calls for some accolades and I'm pretty sure that as the time goes, political leaders in the USA will be more aware and considerate to the large pool of users within the bitcoin community to canvass for their political supports and votes.

As bitcoin now have turned their major area of concentration in other for them to achieve their political ambition, then we the bitcoin community members should be guided very well in other for us not allow politics get in us, because we are not centralized, we are trusted and not corrupted, we cant predict on their true identity until they have achieved their main target towards attaining the presidential seat before we can know what is ahead to face as reality over bitcoin adoption in US and the way forward from there.

Trump will soon promise that would make Bitcoin a legal tender in the US. Politicians are not bound by the promises they make during campaigns because they can also give you many reasons why they were not able to fulfill them. Paying the US debt with Bitcoin showed that he has little knowledge about how Bitcoin works. They market seems to have gotten used to his bogus promises that it doesn't affect the market anymore.

For now we can't say anything about Trump for his support of bitcoin through the election campaign because there is one for politicians that mostly the third world countries, what they preach in the election campaign is different from the things they do in the administrative work. It's hard to say but it's more about the campaign. That's what can we assure with what he's saying. It's all about the campaign period and everything he'd say will be favorable to the groups that he's wanting their votes. And it's obvious that he wants to get the green flag from the Bitcoin community and does said it in favor to what the community wants to hear.

What I want to hear from him is his actual thoughts about Bitcoin. Because what he said is more about the PR speeches that has been given and probably written for him to say. I am not saying that he's deceiving the Bitcoin community but it's possible. So it circles with both possibility and we have no control over it.

What we can hope for is after the elections and when he's already the POTUS and make things into reality based on what he said during the campaign period.

Bluffing or not, we wouldnt know on whats on the things that they do have in mind. This is why im not really that a fan or making myself believing on whatever the things that these politicians would really be telling.
We do know that they might be that be Pro-Bitcoin for now but laterwards then would really be the ones who would be making out some action or steps on trying to get rid of it or simply becomes that negative.
It isnt really that shocking whether they are really that trying to look and hear out to be good but later on they would really be having those hidden intents on which this isnt really that new or shocking anymore.
I cant really just that make myself that easily trust up on whatever those words or sentiments that would really be coming out into their mouths. So for me then it wont really be that an issue
on whatever their plans but basing up into those words then you do already have the hint that they would be accumulate Bitcoin as much as they could and paid of their debts. lol

All politicians lie, I just hope he will do something substantial for Ross but I don't hold my breath.

Poor guy is losing his life between eternal concrete walls for giving people open place to trade, he was treated like a mass murderer but no one forced this people to buy drugs and after closing the market place this people most likely returned to buying it from street thugs anyway.

The whole assassination orders were a scam and he just tried to defend privacy of market users as this was the blackmail the undercover government thug used to extort money from him.

His prison time is a crime against our freedom and this is great proof that government is abusing it's powers and does not differ from crime syndicate.

This tyrannical laws are not here to protect us, never were.
