Some people believe that Oumuamua or 1I/2017 U1 was an alien spaceship or drone bearded as a meteorite that was sent out to map our solar system, and take a closer look at the earth.

Anything that "probe" could have measured/mapped could have been measured from a different distance as well.

Reminds of the star trek episodes where they repair or defend large radio telescopes.  Why build something that receives data at the slow speed of light, when you can simply "warp" to the light source a lot faster.  Smiley

It's like wasting time calculating the value of PI.  Useless because in a year a faster computer will overtake the calculation.   Or to start walking to a city five hours away when a bus is coming in one hour.

If I see a mosquito outside, I can assume that if such a relatively simple organism can exist here, then it should exist elsewhere in similar atmospheric conditions.

Or, I could use BadDicks's logic and assume if I see a mosquito outside, that proves some invisible infinitely complex creature created the mosquito just for me.   Roll Eyes

The chance that we are alone in the universe is infinity small, however, the chance we will ever meet aliens are also very small, aliens that find us will most likely watch us from distance.

Some people believe that Oumuamua or 1I/2017 U1 was an alien spaceship or drone bearded as a meteorite that was sent out to map our solar system, and take a closer look at the earth.

"Two possibilities exist: Either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying."

Arthur C. Clarke

You are right thinking that we alone in the universe alone make us feel scared, and also if there are other people it will be so scary too,
This saying is beautiful

^^^ It's nice to dream. But thinking that there are beings on other planets is only dreaming. Why? Because we have no evidence that other planets could support life at all.

We have never observed other planets with enough detail to see anything. All of our suggestions about what other planets hold are:
1. For the near planets in our own Solar System, no life that we have seen;
2. For planets around other star systems, no tetails about the planets at all, really.

In addition, the complexity of life here on Earth is so great, that we don't even know why life exists here, from a scientific standpoint. The idea of evolution or abiogenesis (part of evolution) has never been proven. They are only science theory that is hoped for by some, but have never been proven.

no i do not believe that we are alone in the universe there are so many terrestrial-like planets that have the conditions to create life and then it is not said that life is possible only in the carbon and water forms, but could also arise from other chemical elements...
So where are they?why until now only hearsay is the proof?those shit videos from YouTube and other sites that only gathering publicity?

And if that is really true that living things can be on outer space then why we can't even grow plants outside the universe?

We are the only living things in this world and only earth can bring life

Can we really prove that something (in this case, the alien) does not exist? We can disprove it, when we finally find the alien, but we can't possibly know for sure that we're alone in the universe. Especially because the universe is really big, even we keep finding new things in earth that surprise us.

The universe is full of mysterious and beautiful things. It’s not logical if we’re alone in here. I don’t know why but i just don’t wanna believe that we’re all alone. There are still alot of things that we didn’t even discover yet. So who knows maybe in future we can find a real answer to this question.

I have recently started to get involved in space and watching some videos I began to understand that we are certainly not alone in this universe. In the space of a trillion stars and somewhere Yes there's no life, perhaps even more advanced civilizatio

We are a human being that's why we are not alone in the universe we can't still say it because many of the planets in the universe is still not explored so we can't literally say that we are alone in the universe that's why it is still an argument right now and also that's why scientist are still making way to explore other planets.
Scientist do their best to prove that's there is living things who alive in other planets but now there is only a theory and still more discoveries we need to prove that because we know takes decades before they prove some things about universe because it is very large and hard to see and travel their investion from earth to other planets.

it is a question that people still argue on,
I believe that we are not alone in the universe but I still am interested in hearing others opinion on this.
I love space subjects a lot.
I have read a lot of topics about the universe, but I have not found a convincing answer to this.
I think there are other beings on the planet, we are not the only ones here.
But the question is, are they more mature?

Surely not, that would be a big waste of space ...

And in addition, it's about time in the universe. is there a limit? I do not think so either now or in the future something will come up.

Nobody knows that there are any other terrestrial-like planets than Earth. Nobody knows what the conditions must be to create life. After all, even the conditions on Earth are against life ever arising on Earth. The complexity of life on earth shows that life cannot arise by random happenstance.

Cool
I think if there is life on earth , why can't there be life on some other planet ?

Because there is only/Only/ONLY one answer why there is life on Earth. And we don't know this answer. All of our sophisticated science finally suggests that life couldn't come about on Earth in any way that we can dream up.

So... if life couldn't be here, but it is, how in the world can we know if it could be anywhere else?

We just don't know.

I don't think we're alone in the universe, that would be one giant and endless waste of space. I think we're just not developed enough to be ready to meet other species, but I believe that other and more developed civilizations are keeping an eye on us from the distance.

We don't know.
When you see how big is universe it seems impossible that we are alone.
When you read some holy books like Bible you can read about some other beings like angels, who helped God to create the universe.
Maybe they are first aliens?
