I have used bitcoin as a currency and if there is something i can buy i will buy it with bitcoin. but if i do buy anything with bitcoin i always have to buy more bitcoin to replace what ive used so that my overall bitcoin amount isnt lowered any (im a bitcoin hoarder). I really use it more as an investment though since i believe price will go up over time.

I picked investment in the survey but probably should have gone for both since its split although in favour of investment.

I use Bitcoin as cash now. Because the price is very high and this is a good time to make some profit from bitcoin, so I am using it for money. Investment is also a good idea but here slight benefit we can expect a very small profit. We don't know how many days this price will go high. If suddenly it went down means we will not get a chance to make money, so I am selling my coins now only.

i am using bitcoins not for the currency because that is not the most profitable thing to use them for. i am using bitcoins for investments because the
Unstable value makes investments allot better and of course you need to make good investments to make allot of profit.

I mostly use my Bitcoins as both an investment and as cash, but mostly I get paid in bitcoin and usually sell my bitcoin straight away. When the price of Bitcoin is rising however, i prefer to hold onto my bitcoin and sell when the price is high. When it peaks, I sell and end up with a bit of money.

At present bitcoin haven't got increased direct acceptance as currency, for this reason I always use bitcoin after converting to local currency. Also most investment were done through bitcoin, because no other investment gives profit similar to bitcoin in a short term.

Currency for the win!Investing could be a pain in the ass sometimes.Buying whatever goods i cant buy with my real life salary

Well for me bitcoin can be use both. For currency as you can buy to those online merchants that accepts bitcoin for payment.
And also a good for investment as you can invest into trading of alt coins.
Even  if you don't invest in trading and invest in bitcoin itself you can expect huge returns in future, so for me its an currency sometimes but majority of times I treat it as an investment.

There are not that many places where you could use it as currency. The price may continue to increase as criminals like bitcoins  Grin

Well bitcoin now is really being used as a currency in the deep web and for sure it will happen in the future that we will use bitcoin as currency.
But as of now, I'm just using bitcoin as an investment and holding some of my bitcoin hoping for the price increase as the halving comes.
And I might get some profit out of it.

At a moment its better to treat it as an investment rather then currency as we are expecting higher price at halving so its better to hold till that time.

I guess if bitcoin is the currency, then the internet is the economy.

I think it will be more accurate to say that Internet is a global platform for the new economy.

I don't know if it truly possible to use bitcoin as a fully fledged currency at this stage but I hope it will be one day.
Things like being able to pay off your credit card with bitcoin like in Canada definitely make it more likely.
Pretty soon probably. I think it's too early to say that.

It's not yet widely adopted. That may be the reason why.

Well somehow other people are using it as a currency especially those people who have daily transactions for payment and buying of goods.
But also it is good to use bitcoin as investment.
So, it has always been better if you are going to use them both as a currency and investment.

At first, of course, we make bitcoin as an investment, and later on we take it as a currency. For this time, I hold more my coins and wait for a greater value. After gathering satoshis, I would like to convert my BTC to fiat and spend it for stuff I wanted.

i mainy use it as onny investement...as a currency i love cash Tongue
I think bitcoin is great to use for both. yeah because bitcoin is made indeed for both of these functions
so do not be surprised if a lot of people using bitcoin to both of these functions

That's true, it is great if you are going to use bitcoin for both things. As a currency you can buy things with online merchants that accept bitcoins
for the payment for their products, and as well as paying for freelancers that are going to the job that you are going to offer.
And as an investment, for trading or even holding.
