no it isn't but I enjoy the features of a full client. the web client is fine for once in a while or those who don't keep lots of tabs open.

funny this came up.
I was thinking of installing it again just to check out some channels.
I usually hung out in the wild west efnet. Either the channel @'s were afk/bots or power trippers with their cliq.
Never had much reason to check out the other networks at that time.
Only 1 person I personally know uses it, it's too complicated for the rest.

I use it whenever necessary (contacting support and what have you) but not for recreational use. I miss the old IRC days, may start using it again.
