This is not a meta discussion. IMO it’s should be off-topic.

On the subject... I think it depends on the preference of the person. I use both a mobile phone and PC to access the forum. I can’t say I prefer one over the other as over time I have gotten used to both of them. I understand that some users especially newbies find it frustrating to use on mobile phones.
I also had similar problems in the beginning: Bitcointalk on mobile phones: A sight for sore eyes

Bitcoin Talk is not optimized for smartphones currently and it is difficult to navigate. When I visit the forum on a mobile device, it is only for simple things like reading a few posts. My browser tabs can sync across all my devices so if a post is interesting enough to reply I will leave it open on the mobile browser and reply to it later when I am on a desktop computer.

Hello, this post is assuming there have been no major changes with the forum design recently, I do not have my phone available to be certain.

Last time I tried to read a thread on my phone it wasn't easy to do. The content was too wide and scrolling sideways for every line isn't the way a "big money" community forum should function. Simple question: Do you use this forum on a smartphone, or only on bigger screens?
I use smartphone to do most of my activities in this forum and it works just fine for me. Perhaps it may be the type of phone you are using or you are simply accustomed to using a computer which was my case. The text will be smaller phone but you can still see the entire page without having to scroll to the ends. However, PC gives a better and easier use of the forum since it is bigger and you can open multiple tabs. For posting, PC is also great for that as it allow you easily quote multiple people in a single comment without much stress unlike mobile phone that is a very strenuous thing to do.
I've been using smartphone as well in some of my posting activities most especially when I'm out of my house and need to post so I won't be running out of time. If you can use a much more updated smartphone, that would be a lot better.

However, it's still more convenient to work on your PC because the screen is not limited and you will see everything in just a single view, unlike in smartphone where you need to drag it first. But overall, if you prefer working on your smartphone, still it won't be a barrier to finish your posting activity.

There's no problem accessing the forum with my phone I access the forum on my desktop and my phone the only problem on the phone when accessing the forum is that sometimes I can't scroll properly when typing to post something on the forum unlike on the desktop it is way easier to make a post but overall it works just like on the desktop I like the fixed design that looks desktop view on my phone when browsing on the forum and I don't see any difference.

If you have a problem with the content looking too wide I think you need to change your font settings on the phone it would help change the forum's appearance and you can see the text more clearly if you increase the font size.

Yes, most of the time.

Your concerns are true and those are old issue, but with no success of changing the forum software and its looks, so there's no choice and need to adapt and adjust for what are the available. So far, zooming in and out is the only option.
Very well said because I have experienced of both computer and smartphone, but in most cases, I feel more comfortable writing from my Smartphone, since at most it only takes I little hustle to zoom a bit when need be.

But then I have hard a lot talk about the comfortability of typing from a computer, which seems to be a bit faster compared to mobile device, but then I suggest, since we can't change anything with the Forum outlook right now, at least we can best adapt ourselves both so that we do not miss out on anything.

Simple question: Do you use this forum on a smartphone, or only on bigger screens?
I use it on both devices, depending on my location. If I'm at home and there is a power supply, I prefer to make use of my PC to access the forum instead of using my smartphone, but if I'm travelling far from my house, most times I make use of my smartphone.

I have made myself very comfortable using any of the devices, and I don't feel any different using them again unless I want to engage in some kind of discussion that requires quoting multiple quotes, which is easier for me when I'm using a bigger screen.

I use my phone and a laptop computer. On some days when the laptop is shared between me and my brother, I fall back to using my phone to access the forum. It is not easy especially as you may have to frequently zoom in and zoom out just to see the letters something I have been advised against so many times. They say it causes eye strain and stresses the eyes leading to some eye problems. Over I have full and better experience with a laptop than with my phone. I tend to stay longer.

I am mostly using forum with bigger screen when I need to write and reply something, it's much easier for me that way.
Reading post and making quick replies is fine on smartphones, but I couldn't use forum only with mobile devices, unless we have some major forum software upgrade soon highly unlikely

I make use of my phone and for me it's more convenient than when I use my laptop. This is because I adjust more to smaller objects than when they are bigger and bolder. Maybe you find it difficult using a phone because you're used to bigger screens where the texts don't appear like it's a wall or the wordings are a bit bolder, but I feel if that's the only device you find yourself with at the moment, with time you'd adjust.

Simple question: Do you use this forum on a smartphone, or only on bigger screens?

Yes, sometimes I use it. Especially when I go on vacation and don't take my tablet.
It's true that it may not be practical at first, but over time, it becomes easier.

At least I don't feel uncomfortable anymore. Or maybe it's because I already use the internet, before I had smartphones and tablets.  Roll Eyes

I use the forum from my smartphone, i have been doing so for quite a long time now, so i can say i am now used to it and TBH all the hassles and inconvenience of using the forum from a phone no longer bothers me at all. I hope the forum launches a mobile version sometime in the future, at least for the majority of people who right now cannot use the forum from their mobile devices because of the inconveniences involved.

Simple question: Do you use this forum on a smartphone, or only on bigger screens?
Simple answer: using both.

I mostly browse on my mobile phone, and if I find an interesting topic or post I want to reply to, I usually move to my computer to write the response. However, if it's a very short reply, I don't bother switching to my computer and just do it on my mobile phone instead.

Do you use this forum on a smartphone, or only on bigger screens?

This question has been asked several times, and I don't see the need of creating a new one as you could have searched for previous discussions and read their reply. The forum was built for desktop view and if you have a laptop or a tablet you can view it in the desktop mode without stress. The mobile view, to me is a bit stress full as you have to strain your eyes or zoom to a lower part of the page to see it clearly. So I think I only read messages on the forum through my smartphone and when I'm at home I use my PC to make replies as it's easier that way, both for typing and viewing.

I usually browse the forum on my laptop due to an eye defect that makes it hard for me to see clearly. Despite this, I find Bitcointalk to be one of the lightest webpages I visit, even with its large number of users. This is likely because the forum mainly focuses on text posts, with few images and no video or audio content. The website’s simple color scheme of black, light blue, and white also adds to its user-friendly design

This forum was designed to fit the laptop view or maybe iPad. It is not convenient on phone, but there's what we call adaptation. Anyone who has been using the forum on phone for over 1 year will tell you nothing is wrong using the forum on phone. Someone who has been using laptop like Lovesmayfamilis will tell you it's a hassle using the forum on phone.

I use the forum on phone and it's convenient for me. I only use laptop when I'm working on a big data post or reviewing a project.

A smartphone works perfectly just like on a desktop since it is a website, not an app. But the main reason why I don't use a smartphone is because I have to zoom in several times when typing. After all, the website is not mobile-friendly since no mobile version was designed specifically for the site. However, there can be an improvement in it but I don't think it will be possible now, most members are conversant with the interface redesigning it, and making some adjustments may make some visitors and members of the forum have a difficult or bad experience navigating the forum.

It's not a big deal since I have a laptop and a smartphone so I work with whichever device I feel is convenient to work with. There are many members of the forum who conduct all the activities of the forum through computers and there are some members who use their smartphones to complete such tasks. Since maximum smartphones now have all kinds of facilities available to a user, it has to be said that the number of users on forums through mobile has increased a lot.
However, if something needs to be written, it is certainly easier to type on a computer than on a smartphone.

OP, you have been on the forum for a year. Can I ask that all this time you have been reading the forum from your phone, and only now has something changed in your life? There have been many such topics, and I never tire of repeating that I want to applaud those people who use the forum from their phones and, moreover, participate in signature companies. I applaud standing up. I use a laptop or, in the end, an iPad, but this is for reading. Reading from a mobile phone is just a hassle, although it is difficult to say that my phone screen is small.

If you want to read each posts in full without scrolling left or right, you can rotate your phone screen anytime you want to to read people's post.

Simple question: Do you use this forum on a smartphone, or only on bigger screens?
I use phone and laptop but I use phone often. I started this forum on a phone
