I use the computer for writing. From the smartphone what I do is take a look at the threads, usually a little before I sit down to write to get an idea of what's out there and which ones I'm going to write in. Occasionally I have used the mobile to write also but it is much more comfortable from the computer, and those who say that you always do it from mobile I do not know how you do it for multiple quotes and quote only a part of long posts, for me it is a nuisance and in general I prefer computer.

I sometimes use this forum on my iPhone and its horrible. Most forums these days are optimized for mobile usage, bitcointalk is not one of them.

There is no mobile version. You basically get the entire desktop view on your tiny iPhone screen, basically need to zoom in and out constantely. When you are typing a message, you sometimes need to stop typing, to move the screen because you cant see what you are typing.

Hopefully they will upgrade it soon to be more mobile friendly.

Hello, this post is assuming there have been no major changes with the forum design recently, I do not have my phone available to be certain.

Last time I tried to read a thread on my phone it wasn't easy to do. The content was too wide and scrolling sideways for every line isn't the way a "big money" community forum should function. Simple question: Do you use this forum on a smartphone, or only on bigger screens?

Smart phones are good for smart accessibility of the forum in the sense that you can always go through it even at your complex times. It is portable for accessibility probably easy to be multitask on.
Although in terms of readability, accessing the forum with a desktop or laptop might be the best due to the larger screen and also, some terms of features might be deprived when logging on some lower capacity Smart phones but in a general context, the forum is accessible and flexible to be used in any internet provided devices while the comfortability to hover around it depends on individual.

It's easy to read on mobile phone or mobile devices. I have no big problem to read posts on my mobile devices that are of course less convenient than reading on computer or laptop with bigger screens.

Many people use the forum on both devices: mobile and computer/ laptop.

The advice for you is simple: if you only read, you can use it on any device but if you log in your account, make sure you limit that action on mobile because it's less secure for your account on mobile than on computer or laptop. You can log in your account on mobile but make sure you know about risk.

In addition, the forum has 2FA feature that can help to secure your account better.

Yes I think I only used forum so rarely on my laptop. Because using it on phone is quite convenient whether you arent at home or doing outside you can easily use the phone to do forum posting and even reading. Even crypto web3 apps or browsers also works on phone which give a quite easy no hassle for users.

Regarding the view well I can manage plus I used to it already.

I use smartphone to do most of my activities in this forum and it works just fine for me. Perhaps it may be the type of phone you are using or you are simply accustomed to using a computer which was my case. The text will be smaller phone but you can still see the entire page without having to scroll to the ends. However, PC gives a better and easier use of the forum since it is bigger and you can open multiple tabs. For posting, PC is also great for that as it allow you easily quote multiple people in a single comment without much stress unlike mobile phone that is a very strenuous thing to do.
