As everyone knows one of the major problems with Bitcoin economy is hoarding. The idea of this poll is to find out whether the lack of spending in the BTC economy is mainly due to the lack of acceptance of Bitcoin payments, or is it that people can actually buy a good deal of stuff that they need with BTC but choose not to.

As of now, there are a lot of stores accepting bitcoins as payment for goods and services, so we can weed out the aforementioned factor in this post. Hoarding is indeed the reason why people don't spend much more of their bitcoins. Think about it. Would you spend your bitcoins on buying a piece of clothing and eventually knowing that the price of your bitcoins now will rise tomorrow. So it's impractical to use bitcoins for that matter.

Until now, i didn't use bitcoin in real life. I just use it for trading and investing, after that i turn it to cash again. I don't have any chance in my country to use it other way.

Same here. Most of the time I've been doing day trading and swing trading with my bitcoins. I have some targets to achieve as total income. After that I'll be using some part of it.

Actually I'm using only my bitcoin if there's an emergency. Some of the users here are waiting to the price of it to goes up but that's not my reason. Just like what I said I'm only use it when there's an emergency so that when it came I'm ready and I have a money if need. I don't use it without a valid reason.

I really think that, It is not the lack of acceptance at the time of making payments that causes that conjecture, but the fact that the people who own it know the value of bitcoin over time, they have it there as reserve waiting for its value to increase ever more, until you reach the point where they deem it necessary or sufficient to make expenditures or purchases, without the need to exhaust all their btc.

I think that everybody uses BTC. But in different ways: some of them just hold, some trade. So that's why its so popular.

I don't really use my Bitcoin i just wait for the value to rise and sell them again and wait for the bitcoin to fall down in value again to buy it. That is what i have been doing all the time and now that the value is so high i was able to make a lot of bitcoins and buy some stuff with it.

Everyone has own needs, so I always use bitcoin when I need. At that time my needs were not too many, so I used the result of bitcoin to buy another coin asset.
because I think if we have other coin assets, the more profit we can get.

Holding is a good idea when investing. But sometimes I use bitcoin for personal expenses. You really have to if you are living alone. While most of it are going to be hold for a little longer. With bitcoins price dropping, I think I'll hold most of them for now and buy new BTC so that I can gain it again when price pumps. And I am sure that it will pump. I'll be patient. There are so many establishments and companies that are starting to adopt bitcoin so I think it is just a start and not really the problem with bitcoin.

Unfortunately, I cannot use Bitcoin directly as a currency because it is nit yet legal in my country so retailers are not accepting it. The only way I could use it is to first convert it into fiat or regular currency through exchangers. In that way, I am able to buy stuffs that I need whenever I wanted to. But I'm still hoping that in the future, I would be able to use it directly as a currency.

I use bitcoin whenever i can. I just bought some game in steam with bitcoin.
Btw what you say is true, bitcoin just needs to be accepted globally, i think this is the biggest goal bitcoin must achieve, because of that bitcoin can replace the function of fiat money, and slowly get rid of fiat money. Its should be happen in the future. Money in the future should be not an paper anymore, its digital. I bealive that sooner or later that time will come.
