Yes of course, but in a legal manner and not in a back-alley way or something like that. There are still those who are willing to sell off their kidneys to gain bucks for their family, so if bitcoin is one of the payment methods they accept then why not?

If he truly wants his organs to be sold when he's dead? Then who am I to say No to that.
It will benefit his family and someone else.

Yes but only if an escrow is used  Roll Eyes

Here is how the deal will take place the buyer sends the BTC agreed upon to the escrow, escrow intimates the organ seller that the money is in place, the organ seller then ships the organ to the escrow, escrow checks that organ is in good shape and matches the photos which were provided before the deal and re-ships it to the buyer, and then releases the payment to the seller.

Seriously.. until the organ trading becomes legal and Bitcoin becomes legal this won't happen, so I would say no. I don't want to sell my organs, if I am dyeing I might donate them to someone who I think is worthy of having them.
it gives me the creeps
maybe if the hospital is still reasonable, but if the black market scares  Undecided _-

for samuel's case, he wants to donating his vital organs to his family for support their life necessities after he left them forever.. it just like samuel wants to do the last thing what he can do for help his family & can save other people life at the same time too..
if buyer wants to buy with bitcoin only or the marketplaces just only can using bitcoin.. i think it should be allowed to do (maybe samuel needs to make wills letter about that first)

but using bitcoin to bought & sold any illegal human body parts and organs in black market it can't be allowed, because it will gains criminal rate more faster

tbh OP's question isn't really related to bitcoin, it is about legal organ trading.

when the day arrives that we have paradies on earth then it is ok to trade organs - until then 100% no.

just think about what would happen if organ trading gets legal - we will see human organ farms all over the world fed with abducted people from all over the world. ( "The Island" just without clones but real people)
we have already more then enough problems right now this would be totaly insane.

I don't care for what purpose people use Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is a TOOL. Like a knife.

Asking if you want people to buy human parts with bitcoin is pointless just like asking do you want people to cut human parts using a knife?

The case has nothing to do with the Bitcoin itself. So this question is completely pointless.

Best answer is automatic organ donation with an opt out.

If one needs to opt out then it's not really a "donation" is it.

Also, I opt out.

Poor people wouldn't stand a chance against super rich people in obtaining an organ.

If I were extremely poor I would certainly consider selling my second kidney to unlock a bounty of water, food, shelter, clothing, basic health products/services, education, and transport.  A ban on trading organs hurts the poor much more than it hurts the rich.

yes it must definitely be legal. Organs can be traded just like any soft commodity, but they would have to be strictly traced and certified to ensure that the quality and origin is immaculate. Bitcoin or not.  Cool

This would solve the organ shortage instantly. However sick and twisted ethics prevent this from happening. Result: sick people suffering.

Yes, I would like to see that. Selling your own organs should be allowed, I don't understand why it is still illegal. Does my body belong to me or the government? If it's mine then how can somebody arrest me for selling   a part of my own body? World is a strange place, we are being told we are free and can choose our own fate but in fact we are mere slaves and prisoners of the system.

YES!  Absolutely!

I would love to see a organ trade like the one OP mentioned.

Right now the Chines Government is selling the organs of political prisoners and using the operations as the means of killing the inmates sentenced to death.

In the USA we get a few dollars off drivers license renewal if we sign up for organ donation.
As a close family member of a doctor 'who have let patents die to save others' I can speak first hand to the fact that doctors consider if a patent is a organ donor when fighting for a patents life.
This is why I am not a organ donor because doctors know if your a donor before they operate. If a doctor can save 8 lives by letting one severe head trauma patent die
they won't fight as hard to save that patent.

TLDR:
Right now the hospitals get to sell your organs to the highest bidder why shouldn't your family get a cut?

No. This is not ethical and by no means legal. If a person dies, without giving consent to donate his organ prior to his death, then no one has the right to remove any organ from that individual.

And the reason why we are having organized rackets dealing with body parts right now, is just due to the fact that organ trading is banned. If organ trading is legalized, and regulated by the government, then these criminal cartels will just vanish.

Governments find it impossible enough to allow people who are being eaten alive the right to die. I can't see how they'd ever touch the organ trade. Best answer is automatic organ donation with an opt out.

Laws making harvesting of body parts mandatory for accidental deaths would save a lot more people. Some people might get offended, but at least you won't have organized rackets coming up.

Absolutely no, not that it isn't bad publicity for bitcoin if people could buy organs with it but it also is unethical to sell organs. Poor people wouldn't stand a chance against super rich people in obtaining an organ.

It would be kind of exactly like it is in America now, minus the headaches of regulation (of temperature, sanitary conditions, competency of medical staff, etc.).

The answer is a clear "no". We have criminal activities, extortion case, drugs, gambling, money laudering which seems to be now linked to bitcoin. While we can easily argue that fiat currency can also be used to do the same thing, but however bad press and misconception has somehow made it worse. And now human body parts.
