I don't know if you can call it a waste, but I lean a lot from surfin the net and learning what I'm interested in.
I'm more of an introvert, so when I'm at home and by myself, I'm usually on the net. I learned to swim free style last summer more efficiently by learning the technique on the net and with YT vids. (I want to eventually drop jogging, swimming is easier on the joints)
I really do not care how many hours per week that I spend on the net as long as I'm interested in something and that I'm also learning.

They become so addicted to watching it, and that hinders them from doing valuable things on the internet that can add more values to their lives. I agree. Don't watch porn because Pornhub only waits for you to visit them and make money on ads. Also you can get virus. Yes, I have entered Pornhub and RedTube once, but I used lynx text-mode browser. Try it yourself lol. I absolutely fear to use graphical browser even if you turn off images and JavaScript to access this website.

Yes, I think I waste some of my time in the internet but It is worth. You can learn many things in the internet and there are many website which provide knowledge and skills that can help you to improve or learn more. For example, Youtube which has different kind of video for entertaining viewers. It's increase our quality of life, but the cost is we need to spend time on it. 
Almost 70% of my time is online. I often surf facebook, read daily news, play games. I have very little contact with people. Do not know how much internet time will affect my health later on? Anyone give me advice?
I don't call it wasting my life since I am making money off of it.. Well, technically wasting time on anything except enjoying is still a waste of life. xD
I spent much time in internet , to keep the Pace with new technology we all have to . But you are right ,we also have to maintain our other activities. Those are important too. Balance is the word we should follow.
Yes, I spend a lot of time on the Internet. But I do not think that I'm wasting it. I learn something, teach, read books online. I'm working. Of course I communicate. I do not play games) But I do not confuse the real world and the world on the Internet. Everything should be in moderation.

Yes, most of the time I used to play online games. It is always a part of my day. It feels me so happy and it is my stress reliever.

Yes I spend way too much time on the internet . In the internet is not a waste, because having some fun, entertainment, and joy is what the oppurtunity you get, not such a waste. 
Everyday I waste my time, drinking vine, filling fine... And thanks to blockchain creators, because now I can do usefull things in internet and become succesfull and responsible man! Ave blockchain!
